Roland Alimane

Roland moves ahead and swings his book at the yellow tinged frog.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Could someone move me over to the yellow frog? Thanks.
| GM Ietsuna |
Graktul, just clarifying. Your intimidate was to demoralize the yellow froggy?
Graktul
|
Cant remember if it was yellow or not but which ever froggy was visible originally was the target to demoralize.
Seeing the an extra frog or two surface doesn't seem to faze Graktul...if anything his smile gets a little wider before moving forward swinging his flail at the red frog.
Been a minute since I've had some frog legs...lets finish this quickly so we can get around to dinner.

The frogs gums strike the armour of the holy man and no damage gets through.
Blue flicks its tongue out at Graktul.
Tongue, cover: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 4 = 19
The tongue sticks to the barbarian and tries to grab him.
Grab: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
The tongue doesn't seem to have enough power to grab the half-orc.
The Armenian Man
|
The Armenian Man looks into the crowded room; he clearly doesn't have an easy path to get in there and do anything! But, Magdh gives him options. He steps forward and climbs up onto one of the sarcophagi, commanding the best view of the space. He turns and looks at the blue frog, and a wicked gleam appears in his eye. "You! With the blue spots. Attack your friend, the yellow-stripey one! Or the red, whichever you like. Magdh commands it!" He lifts her symbol from his chest and points at the frog, letting Magdh twist the frog's mind.
Move: 10' including a climb onto the sarcophagus
Standard: cast murderous command (Will DC 14) on blue
Climb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14
You give the target a mental urge to kill its nearest ally, which it obeys to the best of its ability. The target attacks its nearest ally on its next turn with a melee weapon or natural weapon. If necessary, it moves to or charges to the nearest ally in order to make this attack. If it is unable to reach its closest ally on its next turn, the target uses its turn to get as close as possible to the ally.

The Armenian Man brings his scythe up and almost swings it down towards Glok! "Glok, Magdh plays tricks on both of us today, bringing frogs as our enemies! I almost tried to strike you down, friend!" He laughs at the mistake then steps closer to their real enemies. He brings his scythe sweeping down towards one of the actual enemies.

Roland again swings and misses.
Graktul cleaves the red frog in twain.
Armenian strikes yellow a very respectable blow.
Glok's arrow misses. I suspect he may not want to hit these amphibious creatures.

The blue frog goes down.
Combat over
Stuffed into the nest at the end of the chamber is the mostly devoured corpse of a human man,
On the man’s right hand is a ring of swimming, made of gold and set with a single aquamarine. Tied to his belt is a pouch that contains 24 gp in coins, identical to those found on the corpse beside the Gray Lake
Roland Alimane
|
Roland detects for magical auras and relieves the corpse of its valuables. ”There’s been too many deaths in this accursed place. Let’s find the flame and get out of here.”
| GM Ietsuna |
Ok, so exits form this room are back out the way you came, or there is a door at the other end of the room.
Roland Alimane
|
Roland moves to the unopened door at the other end of the room and looks at it.
Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
If he doesn’t notice anything, he opens the door and looks into the next room.
| GM Ietsuna |
A strange blue fungus covers the walls, ceiling, and pillars of this waterlogged chamber. Its wispy strands stretch out from the wall like roots dangling in the air, twitching and swaying in an unseen breeze. Floating in the water are four decaying corpses—three large rats and one giant frog—with strange burn marks all over their bodies.
The Armenian Man
|
"Ooooh, I don't like this!" The Armenian Man says with a smile on his face. "Those corpses are gross!" He goes no farther than the doorway, preferring to observe rather than interact, at least until someone who knows more can explain what he's looking at.
No ranks, so can't try the Knowledge check. The room appears to still be obscured on the map.
Graktul
|
Not sure I like the way those look.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Don't see anything in the room to leave the burn marks and doubt anything we encountered yet would move the corpses into this room...Any ideas how they died?
Graktul
|
Not seeing any teeth marks from his earlier perusal. Graktul seems to look up quickly before backtracking to the room with the toads.
Grabbing the closest corpse he cuts a decent chunk of meat quickly from a thigh before moving back towards the doorway and casting piece of flesh into the room trying to hit it near the other corpses.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 2 = 18
| GM Ietsuna |
As the chunk of meat moves through the water, propelled by Graktul it touches one of the dangling strands and there is a zapping sound.
Roland Alimane
|
”Let’s leave this room alone and head to the next unexplored room. We can come back to this later.”
If no one argues, Roland leads the group to the door room/door. He looks at it before opening it.
Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
| GM Ietsuna |
Ok I assume you o back to the three way room and I further assume you go down the path you have not explored yet. I have revealed the room.
The corridor opens up into a winding catacomb. The walls are skillfully carved with deep recesses where bodies might have once lain. All that remains now are cobwebs, dust, and the tattered remains of ancient clothing. The stench of rotting flesh is overpowering here, but the source is not evident.
Roland Alimane
|
”Smells like undead,” Roland whispers as he examines the room. If nothing jumps out at him, he moves into the room.
