Hurok's axe slashes through the undead as if it wasn't really there. Still the woman does seem to have sustained some damage. She ignores the barbarian and floats towards Raymond. Hurok is quick to react and swings his axe again! Reaching Raymond the woman touches him, some of his vibrant personality seems to disappear and the woman seems more real...

Raymond feels some of his essence being sucked away. His face gains noticeable lines and wrinkles, his teeth yellow a bit, and his hair is suddenly spattered with gray. The red claw he has for a right hand seems to look more menacing, its claws turning a deep purple and its muscle and sinew becoming more pronounced. "She might not be one o' my exes, but I think she's trying to make me less desirable! I feel like I'm getting... uglier. Or older. Or both. Stay away, ya witch!"

He flips his rapier to his red hand, and the slightly insane spirit animating that hand stabs forward at the ghostly woman.

Hurok pushes through the undergrowth as quickly as he can, angling to get behind the unnatural woman-thing for maximum axe bashiness.

Raymond hits the woman, but his rapier is not able to penetrate her skin. Hurok's axe has no such's problems and does a nasty wound to her. To his surprise it seems as if she is more real and therefore easier to wound!

Orin takes a 5 foot step along the path into flanking position.

"Oh wow, we need to kill her quick. I thought Raymond was ugly before, I'm not sure I can take him getting much worse."

With a fourish, Orin draws a card and it flares with brilliant white light. Instead of throwing it, he attempts to press it against the ghost.

Orin will take another step, and draws another card. This one shows the same symbol as the last, but the light seems to be a soothing, calming shade.

When he presses this card against Raymond, it restores his vitality rather than burning it away.

Slight adjustment to my turn based on discussion in the Hangouts chat: Instead of waiting for Hurok to flank, I'll delay until after Orin goes, moves out of the way, and then step into his spot so that I then flank. Turn otherwise continues as above.

Hurok's axe slices through the woman as if she wasn't dear. Blood spurts around and when you have cleaned your faces the woman has gone, and so has the blood that you where just wiping from your eyes...

You enter Hope's Hollow proper, if it could be called that. It is a small town where most if not all shops have been boarded up. Although it is the middle of day you see few people on the streets and the ones you see keep to themselves, looking at you with distrust in their eyes.

You move down the main street and soon come upon a sign which reads, “Mother’s Care Home for Invalids.”. It is affixed to a grey, single story building that does not look inviting.

A lone figure watches from across the street. Though the figure attempts to be stealthy, you deduce that the stalker is a middle-aged woman, and her attention is focused on the facility you are about to enter

She seems so glad that you show interest in here “We brought my father here because the new owner promised good care. After he took over, everything was clean and bright, and Father seemed happy. Then the staff stopped allowing visitors. Instead of proper food, they served gruel and water. Father was old, but he wasn’t sickly. Yet he passed on quickly after we brought him here.”

She looks up with bitter tears welling in her eyes. “If you have loved ones here, get them out now! Don’t let them suffer and die in there!”

Raymond listens intently to the woman, then nods at her, his face solemn. "I'm sorry to hear about your father. If they're mistreating folks, we'll get to the bottom of it. What can you tell us about the inside? Layout, number of employees, all that stuff. It would be good to be as prepared as we can."

She gives you an idea what the layout of the facility is see map, she tells you that she does not know what is behind the doors to the hidden rooms

He will then draw a card and juggle it between his fingers, ready in case it comes to violence.

The man can't hide a smile at Raymond's fit "Are you sure you are allright? We might have a spare bed for you."

He then looks at Enrithel "Very well." and opens the door further, allowing you entry. The brief hallway beyond the front door of the care home is bleak and gloomy. A large meeting area with several tables is completely devoid of patients and family members.

Two offices near the door feature small windows—the only light within the building appears to be from the exterior windows.
