He places his hands on his knees, standing in a sort of half crouch as he catches his breath
if you're up to it, Kivuli, I agree that's a good idea. Maybe the rest of us can make camp just inside and out of most of the weather. A couple hours of rest should see us right to begin the search.

After catching his breath, Kivuli takes of his backpack, draws his estoc and slowly stalks to look inside.

Given your posts I decided to let Kivuli scout ahead
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Kivuli tiptoes up and peeks behind the wooden scaffolding, looking right into a yeti's eyes! The monster growls and drops the straw it was piling up in a make shift bed. Kivuli notices immediately that this yeti is not as big as they are told to be.. Back where the others are waiting for their scout to return Folium's ears start to itch.

Averting Eyes: The opponent avoids looking at the creature's face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.
Wearing a Blindfold: The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one's back on the creature or shutting one's eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.
A creature with a gaze attack can actively gaze as an attack action by choosing a target within range. That opponent must attempt a saving throw but can try to avoid this as described above. Thus, it is possible for an opponent to save against a creature's gaze twice during the same round, once before the opponent's action and once during the creature's turn.
Gaze attacks can affect ethereal opponents. A creature is immune to gaze attacks of others of its kind unless otherwise noted. Allies of a creature with a gaze attack might be affected. All the creature's allies are considered to be averting their eyes from the creature with the gaze attack, and have a 50% chance to not need to make a saving throw against the gaze attack each round. The creature can also veil its eyes, thus negating its gaze ability.

Just wondering if by chance I can use my Player Character Folio re-roll on the failed save. Not sure how that works in a PbP game.
Those eyes...so full of evil and pain. I can't breathe, why can't I move? Am I a coward? Stop. I need to focus. My master said that escapologists can eventually break these conditions. What did he say to do?

![]() |

"What's this? He sees something!"
Folium looks to the direction Kivuli went, trying to see the trouble.
"And,... , I'm tired already. Well, all out then."
Folium again tries to cast a spell to strengthen his bow.
Gravity bow fail chance 15%: 1d100 ⇒ 29

GMG |

Kivuli: yes you can, but what failed save? I do not see your first save. Some GM's want people to upload their folio somewhere. I trust that you are playing by the rules unless there is reason to think otherwise.
Korug: I did not notice that, blame the dice-roller ;-)
Folium: can you strike out spells that you have used on your profile or put them at used consumables? That way I can also see what you have used (I know this is your second gravity bow, did you also use a true strike?)

Posting here though I think it's Yeti's turn. My action would be about same anyway.
"OK, let's see what the nasty is made of."
Folium waits until the enemy comes to sight, and greets it with an arrow.

Shoot if I can see it, ready to shoot when it comes to view otherwise. -1 for fatigue, -2 to attack because bow is now too heavy.

When you roll a d100: high is good, so if you roll high you avoid the save or manage to overcome the concealment.

Modekai, save happens at start of turn if you are within 30 feet, you are at 35. However, stairs are difficult terrain, so i don't think you can reach the yeti

Aurum steels himself against the gaze of the beast. "Don't be afraid, let him face his own emotions! Watch how you look at him, don't let fear get to you."
He ardently walks up the stairs to point at the yeti, mouth agape. A low, guttural wail emerges from his throat. He then turns away from him, scowling.
Cast cause fear on the yeti. Will DC 15.

No problem Modekai, you can change your actions. Can anyone post actions for Zob?

...and I will drop into initiative.
I believe the stairs are difficult terrain and Zob is not threatening right now, so I will take a move to get into positon. Not certain if that is hard to do, so here is an Acrobatics check just in case one is nedded.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22 if needed for anything

Panting heavily, "Well...there is no way...to tell..if he was alone...We may not have time to...catch our breath.."

Your time is over. As an expert, I should say you have spread enough of your darkness. I shall shut these windows to your soul.
Looking up to his comrades, "Well friends,...how should we proceed? Do you have any ...insights ...wizard?

Zombaggle reaches up to his forehead, where sit a pair of smoked goggles.

"Little Grey man want to listen at doors?" Otherwise Zobmaggle pick middle door.

Just waiting for a consensus. If we can camp, great. If not, I'm good listening at the doors before making a decision.

Aurum clears his throat. "'Success occurs in measures. Tend to one's belongings first, lest one lose them reaching for more.' It would be more prudent to rest before continuing. The only concern I may have would be making sure we are not at the mercy of the weather up here."

![]() |

I don't see why we would rest outside when there's shelter nearby that may also contain enemies. If there is something bad inside it will probably try to ambush us as we sleep.
Casters out of spells?

![]() |

I was hoping to shed fatigue, but that may not happen due to the altitude.
