"Good. I appreciate your honesty; Irori forgives those who seek to improve themselves for their failings. And the first step will be to wait until after your shift to engage in footsie shenanigans."
No Day Job... although I may need to put a rank into Profession: Counselor or Profession: Personal Trainer after this scenario.
Merevelyn |
Profession: Stand-up comedian.
With Caelum safely back on her shoulder, Merevelyn is understanding and consoling, too, about Enrik's loss, and appreciates the loyalty of Annik and his men to him. "Under different circumstances, I think we would not have needed a spell to be friends."
Merevelyn, after loading up her 'loyal' goblins with a great deal of provisions each, sets off with the group to hand over all of the captives. She feels some genuine remorse handing the goblins over to the extraction team and, continuing on to Trollheim proper, seeks to 'put in a good word' for Enrik, Annik, and their men. "Better their lives are spent keeping others safe from goblins - and worse - than rotting in a prison." "No doubt his intention, anyway, but better for both organizations and the relationship between the two if a Pathfinder is the one heard to say it. ... It's all politics." She adds the last as if trying to distance herself again from empathy and other weak emotions.

Darmut Skychaser |
Darmut has Shersht chase down the fleeing man and then grudgingly treats the fellow before him stemming his wounds as best he can. He is pleased to rid of the goblins, and resolves to spoil Shersht with a few more salmon.
Wyeth Riceak |
Upon reaching their destination, Wyeth asks Merevelyn to translate, then squats down next to the goblins and pulls trail rations out of his pack. "You lot were better behaved than I expected. Better than most goblins I've known or heard of, too. Here, take these snacks as a reward." He hands them a trail ration and a copper piece each.
"I guess I'll have to revise my opinion," he says with a smile as he stands. "Just like people, goblins are all different. And some aren't as bad as others."

"I'd like to think the long walks and workout did the lil fellas some good.", the short baldman flexing peculiarly weak looking bicep.
"I think people are like muscles; put enough training and effort to support them, and you'll be surprised at what they can do."
Wyeth Riceak |
"Oh, don't get me wrong," he says to Sterelin quietly. "I'm glad this is over and I don't consider goblins good company. But: Credit where it's due."
