Pharithstilis sobs all night over the loss of Echo and Aki. In the gloomy morning, he helps load Echo's body on the giant gecko and return her to the Grippli camp, where they likely burn her or return her to the sea in a ceremonial fashion. He was never really a religious or spiritual type, so he doesn't know what to say when it's his turn to speak.
Over time, he settles into his new life as a grippli, putting his talents to use as best he can to help out the tribe, even fighting off the cannibals a few times. He develops a new spell here and there, but his magic never really grows much. He develops a reputation amongst the frog-people as the little guy who talks to monkeys and tigers. He uses his magic to entertain the little pollywogs, telling them of the great heroes Echo and Aki, who came from a land far, far away, who dared to take on the gorilla-god , and of the great lobster demon who took them down. Maybe, in a generation or two, four or five brave grippli are inspired to heroism and adventure by the tale, and decide to brave the legendary lobster cave in search of the treasure that is said to be able to defeat the gorilla-god and the cannibals. Maybe, a by then venerable gnome who staves off the bleaching by eating a new type of berry every week will join them, but only to pay his respects to Aki, and maybe reclaim her remains to finally lay to rest.
