I don't think that's quite right. You are considered flanking if one of your ally's is adjacent to your foe. No one was here.

Yah, two things for you to watch out for. With reach, you may not have allies as often with these ig guys that are adjacent. And something I just came across, when you are climbing, you do lose your Dex bonus to AC, which will make you a little more vulnerable. Against your target, not such a big deal, but for their friends, it could come into play more often. Still, you are pretty damn hard to hit anyway.

Somer puts the last one down into the water, acid sizzling in his chest. I am not sure you managed to keep all 4 from regenerating, but I am pretty sure at least 3, so I am not going to bother verifying. All are dead,

A small timber raft strung together with sinew and reed is tied up to one of the burial markers. It holds a rotten crate that contains the scrags’ treasure: a few humanoid bones, the bones and feathers of several large swamp birds, a jar of restorative ointment, and three pieces of jade (worth 100 gp each).

Go ahead and heal, but I assume you move on to S, so let's keep moving.

As the valley draws to a close, the swamp grasses begin to thicken and the waters begin to take on a ruddy tinge as the sediments shift from the black silty earth of the lowlands to the iron-rich clay of the mountain soil. Just beyond the bog, near the far end of the canyon, rises an ancient brick structure. A shallow stone channel extends from an arch in the building’s cracked and weathered facade, from which flows a sluggish stream of ruddy mud. A broad stone patio surrounds the channel, with doors on either side leading into the building.

The night passes uneventfully, and seems to drag on forever, but morning's light comes and you feel refreshed.

With everyone's help, you are able to pull the door open.

The interior of the structure is a single large room. Both the walls and the floor, fashioned from tremendous mud bricks, are badly cracked, though the north wall still bears the faded image of a crescent moon overlaying a jagged mountain peak. A large mechanism stands near the center of the room, consisting of a stone pipe that disgorges muddy water onto a great stone slab. The water spills from the slab into a wide catch pool before draining out through a channel in the floor. A worn workbench runs the length of the western wall and wraps around the northwest corner of the room. A large stone mortar and pestle sit next to a smaller table to the north. Three huge clay statues stand along the eastern wall, while a tall, black-lacquered cabinet with ornately carved doors and iron handles sits in the southeast corner.

DC 20 Knowledge (religion) check:
You recognize the image on the north wall as the symbol of Fandarra.

DC 15 Knowledge (dungeoneering) or Knowledge (engineering) check:
You identify the apparatus in the middle of the room as some sort of sluice, similar to those used in mining. The workbench is cluttered with an assortment of primitive sculpting tools fashioned from a wide array of materials, including bone, horn, and stone. There are a few more modern looking metal tools as well, but they are all badly rusted. The smaller table to the north holds blocks of pigment and rotted paintbrushes.

Toboyn - still with us?

Botting Toboyn...
The cleric stumbles in, clearly having gotten into his sacred wine stash this morning. Seeing the lumbering statues, he casts holy smite on the red one.

Overcome spell resistance: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (7, 6, 3, 4) = 20
Will Save: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (3) - 3 = 0

Red and purple adjust their positions and attack.

Red vs Somer Slam Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Red vs Somer Slam Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

Purple vs Balmir Slam Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Purple vs Balmir Slam Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

The blue ooze just moves over Mouser, trying to engulf him.

Engulf Rules:

The creature can engulf creatures in its path as part of a standard action. It cannot make other attacks during a round in which it engulfs. The creature merely has to move over its opponents, affecting as many as it can cover. Targeted creatures can make attacks of opportunity against the creature, but if they do so, they are not entitled to a saving throw against the engulf attack. Those who do not attempt attacks of opportunity can attempt a Reflex save to avoid being engulfed—on a success, they are pushed back or aside (target’s choice) as the creature moves forward. Engulfed opponents gain the pinned condition, are in danger of suffocating, are trapped within the creature’s body until they are no longer pinned, and may be subject to other special attacks from the creature. The save DC is Strength-based.

First, Mouser choose AoO or Reflex vs DC is 22.

A grim look on his face, Balmir steps up to close with the nearest statue and lays into it with Agrimmosh once again. The first swing misses badly but second lands with a solid thud.

Hmm--I missed that I'm tanking this and not invisible. Definitely not my style, but here goes nothing.

Mouser tries to remain slippery, stabbing at one of the constructs and looking for a chance to climb it.

If hits, target is disoriented for 1 round (target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, or -4 penalty vs. Mouser).[/ooc

Mouser, I am not sure you read my post. As it stands, I am assuming you are being engulfed by the ooze right now, having chosen an AoO? But it is not clear that you even made a choice... or looked at the map. An ooze can't be flanked.

Somer slides back and again fires off a couple of arrows, this time at the ooze that is pestering Mouser!

My bad--I did misread the post. For some reason, I thought I was fighting the Red statue, which was the first one I had attacked. Somewhere I missed that I was now ooze-fighting as I misread a post.

Refl save to avoid engulfing: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33

If that works, I'd actually like to double-move away from it.
