Dazzled briefly, but the combination of attacks from all of you quickly bring the last giant down.

Combat is NOW over :)

One of the giants carries a battered +2 dwarven urgrosh, which she happened upon by chance during some half-hearted excavations in one of the larger caves.

The abandoned mines consist of an extensive system of interlocking tunnels and chambers. The details of their contents go beyond the scope of this adventure.

Should we assume all the giants have of value is the urgrosh? If not, we can go through their metaphorical pockets; otherwise, assuming it's late in the day, we can bed down in this well-defended spot for the night.
"This looks like a spot easily secured, and dinner's made. Not one to pass by a good picnic, and a chance to recharge."
And a bit of a morale booster, he suspects.
"Cailean can provide the drink, since our hosts have been kind enough to bring the main course. In the morning, we can explore some of those turns we passed by."

Balmir looks at the weapon. "Well, I think I could use it. I normally use this hammer but it's good to have a backup weapon." He slides the haft of Agrimmosh into the belt loop that holds it the magical hammer. Then he reaches over his shoulder to where a large, double-bladed dwarven axe lays strapped to his back. Pulling the axe free he looks at it with a touch of nostalgia. "This axe has been with me for a while. A fair companion, you might say." He leans it gently against a nearly boulder. "But this urgosh you guys found. It looks like it is better made. Maybe even magical." He raises an eyebrow towards Toboyn. "Is it? I think I should take this as my backup. If any of you wants that other axe, feel free to take it."

The issue of the weapon settled, Balmir pats his stomach and a rare smile cracks his bearded face. "Food? Now that's another good idea."

You rest and eat, and eventually fall asleep. Yes, you found all these giants seemed to have of value. The next morning, you feel somewhat refreshed and ready to continue your journey.

Moving on to O on the map.

A giant scarecrow (20 ft tall), crudely formed from tree trunks lashed together, stands at the entrance to this forested vale. It’s overgrown with moss and spotted with lichen. On either side, steep, rocky escarpments climb sharply toward the sky. Clinging boulders jut from the slopes, entwined by the thick roots of twisted ash trees determined to hold themselves fast. A cold breeze whisks through the rift, sending a blizzard of silvery ash leaves scattering through the air.

He'd been saving this for the correct opportunity … not what he'd expected, but here it was:
Holy Smite: 4d8 ⇒ (7, 8, 4, 2) = 21
20 ft radius burst, DC19 Will => half damage + no blindness
GM Fuzzfoot: Is Toboyn aware yet that these are undead? I'm trying to figure out if I can reasonably use Channel Positive Energy next round.

@Toboyn - as far as I can tell, you never attempted a Know, religion check. DC 15 will tell you they are undead.

Balmir only grunts as the giant tries to crush him. He easily shrugs off the attack and then returns in kind.

agrimmosh@red,PA: 1d20 + 16 - 3 ⇒ (10) + 16 - 3 = 23

GM: Want to roll Mirror Image or tell me if the 1 or 6 will be a real hit? I really don't want to take that damage. :)

Well it's not as though I'd roll up a cleric without adding knowledge religion to the skills list, right (blush)?

The Exchange

"They might be giants, boy!" Mouser responds to Mouser, unsure how these strange things differ from the other kind they usually kill.

+1 Rapier (flank, sneak attack): 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 14 + 2 = 271d4 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 104d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 3) = 13
+1 Rapier (flank, sneak attack): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 2 = 201d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 114d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 1) = 13
If hits, target is disoriented for 1 round (target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, or -4 penalty vs. Mouser).

I'll try to finish off Green. If it happens to be dead, I'll move to the next and use my first attack.

"Maybe, but they're not the boss of me, Mouser!", Toboyn exclaims gamely.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Tam blasts a blinding ray at one of the giant undead, hoping that it might still be effective.

Ranged touch attack, into melee: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 7 - 4 = 15

On hit, blinded for 1 round, or dazzled (-1 to attack rolls) if its Hit Dice are higher than my level.

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

Right - forgot about mirror image!
1=Somer: 1d6 ⇒ 6

One of Somer's images disappears.

Tam blasts Yellow with his blinding ray.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 HitDice are not higher, what's your DC?

Balmir and Mouser each drop their targets.

Blue attacks Somer again. It is a miss, but still close enough to destroy another image.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Yellow, blinded, still tries to attack Toboyn.
Attack, blinded: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
50% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 75
Damage: 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
And a negative level.

Round 4 (Bold may act)
Somer (3 images)
Toboyn (14 dmg, 1 neg level)
Balmir (0 dmg)
Mouser
Tamxander

Blue (49 dmg, 5 tmp)
Yellow (23 dmg)
