"I guess you know what you get yourself into. Maybe better than any of us. But please take some time to reconsider that. Even your father lost his life in trying. And you still have many years lying before you, my child." Father Grimburrow sternly advises her.
"I don't say you're no help. I just tell you to think about what it will cost you and if your father's friends would like you to pay for their bad decisions. If you say you'll do it anyway I won't hold you back."
"I'll promise to think on it, Father." Kendra agrees. "In the meanwhile I'll gome home, see if I can find something in my father's notes that may help you, whether I go with you or not."
"That will be a great help. See you later then." Father Grimburrow replies and walks back to the temple to tell his acolytes to start prepare holy water in large amounts and check what the church has to fight undead.
Heartmount puts on his coat and leaves to gather the council and to hand over the note for the news posts to Pevrin Elkarid.
It reads Due to the unique and serious events happening in Ravengro we will meet in the town hall at sunset. Please make time.
Signed
Councilman Vashian Hearthmount
As the evening comes a lot of people from Ravengro flock to the town hall. All seats are taken and they stand in the aisles and even before the door on the market square.
"Dear citizens of Ravengro. Thank you for coming. We have gthered here to talk about what happened in these strange days that have passed this week. And what can be done to bring Ravengro back to being this peaceful town we all love. First the sheriff will inform you about the events at the memorial and then Father Grimburrow will give his report." the Councilman greets the people and explains the oder of events.
"Yeah. Hello." the Sheriff says tipping his hat at the audience. "Well, we have seen in the recent days that the memorial at the river was smeared with blood at two nights. Someone is smearing letters on it. So far I got no idea who that is. But maybe I'll set up a watch to catch who ever is that." the Sheriff tells.
Father Grimburrow enters the stage. "As you probably already know - the peace of the Restlands was disturbed. Without anyone visibly interfering the dead dug their way out of their graves. All were stopped and buried again. And I consecrated the areas of the Restlands again."
"So far no undead walked the streets since then but we need to be careful."
"Thank you Father Grimburrow." Hearthmount says and starts "So we need to approach these problems systematically. I've come up with a plan how we can make sure that every threat is spotted early and doesn't lead to casualties. So far only one of our pigs got killed. Let's make sure it stays the only one."
He pins a list on the board with jobs to do for that and introduces that. "We need some people in strategic places in Ravengro that are willing to do watches. No one of you needs to walk around. It's done from the houses. I have suggestions for who might take..."
The councilman doesn't get to finish his sentence as the lamps at the walls explode dousing the room and the people around in burning oil. Through the windows from the left and right bursts a flaming skull each.
Some of the villagers are badly burnt and the hall is on fire at two points. Most people start to panic pressing towards the door and throwing over benches.
I'll leave it to you to find out what the options here are.
As the Father is still standing he steps towards the center of the hall and channels positive energy to heal.
Channel:4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 2) = 10 "Everyone, calm down! Your panic will cause harm to yourselves and others. Sherrif, help everyone out of here, I will keep these busy."
"Hey! Listen!" the Sheriff shouts. "You leave through the benches and the middle aisle. And you stop pushing. Everyone going over benches, pushing down people or trampling over someone can walk straight over to the prison. There I'll let you rot for the rest of your days!"
As Father Grimburrow channels positive energy the people with the burns are restored. And now everyone moves orderly as they are more afraid of the Sheriff than the fire.
Jorfa stood at the back of the hall while all of this was happening. Due to the events of the past days she had decided to bring her weapon with her, just in case. "I should've brought my armour too. Oh well." she thought to herself. While everyone is rushing out, she looks at the creatures and tries to figure out if she's encountered them before.

Jominda looks around grabs at her belt but then decides I'd better not throw a bomb here. Fighting fire with fire might even not work. She pushes against the stream of people to get to the fire. She rips down the drapes and tries to beat out the fire.
"Lady of Graves, help us return these perversions of life unto the ground once more." Vauran chants, presenting his holy symbol.

"Jominda!" Kendra gasps. She hesistates for a moment, and then focuses herself before opening her hand towards the skull attacking Jominda. A ray of weak, white light shines out of it.

Jominda squeals in a high and piercing tone. She drops the drapes fumbles her mace out of her dress and swings it at the skull.

"Are you alright, Jominda?" Kendra asks. She does think the alchemist had a good idea though, and looks for more pieces of cloth to put out the fire with

"I'll be fine. But our town hall is burning down." Jominda replies. "Can't you sprinkle it with holy water or something?" Jominda inquires Father Grimburrow.
"Sheriff, organize a bucket brigade!" Vauran shouts as he looks around to see if there is any more danger
Not seeing any more danger he starts to cast create water, over and over again. 14 gallons/6 seconds creating a downpour.
"I'll stick with the get all people out for now." The Sheriff replies, grabbing a drape himself trying to beat out the fire.

With the combined effort of some courageous people of Ravengro lead by the Sheriff and Father Grimburrow the fire in the town hall can be put out within a minute or two. There is quite some charring on the floor and the wall and the broken windows but nothing that can't be fixed.
But the people are scared. The undead attacking that bold in the midst of Ravengro? That trauma will take a long time to fix.
Kendra wipes her forehead and looks in horror at the damage done to the town hall and the fear it has instilled in the town's people. She is at a loss of words.

Jominda drops the curtain. Lifting up her head she shouts angrily "That's all you got? We're going to kick your sorry butt back to hell where you belong!"
"Father Grimburrow, I... I do believe a passive stance watching out for enemies to come into Ravengro is just an invitation for more attacks. I do believe the source of these attacks must be investigated and... taken care of."
Jorfa joins the group during their discussion. "I heard someone say something about finding the source to these attacks. Count me in on that. These attacks are disrupting my routine and I'm having none of that.", she grumbles.
"Let us make sure that everyone is alright now, place some people on watch, and then we should organise a group to investigate in the morning. These undead are disturbing so I will be going."
"My father died researching Harrowstone. My father's friends were lost while they went there. I think the search should start there... however, it will be a dangerous undertaking for you." Kendra warns.
