Champion of Irori hype!
I'm ready.

![]() |

Levelling up Kynrac as we speak. I haven't received the CS for the last scenario, but I'm prodding the GM for im to do so.

![]() |

I'll update Atum's profile later tonight but I'm otherwise ready to go.

![]() |

Ready anytime.

![]() |

Yep, as soon as I find the light switch we'll get on with it, LOL.

![]() |

I actually haven't had a chance to see the Unchained Rules. Once I get my copy, I might switch over to Unchained since I've heard I can keep the Master of Many Styles archetype which is key to my build, but full BAB would give me an extra attack. (I'm at +10 BAB atm. So replacing the missing BAB from monk level 1 would give me +11.)

![]() |

Ah, then it's a no go. Karu uses Dragon Style and Shaitan Style to imitate an earth dragon. My favorite is his ability to use Dragon Roar with Elemental Fist to spit acid at people.

![]() |

FALDOC IS FREEEEEEEEEE!

![]() |

Ready to smash!

![]() |

Yay, looking forward to start!
By the way, have you reached a decision for the ruling I've asked you about, Tektite?

![]() |

Making some last minute purchases Things to buy: clear spindle ion stone 4k-400, daggers X5 10 gp, amulet of natural armor +1 2k, ring of protection+1 2000, retrain feat 600+5pp(med armor proficiency to quickdraw)

![]() |

Ah yes, got your message but I didn't know whether that decision was final.

![]() |

I will be in Orlando for Memorial Day weekend so posting may be hit or miss.

GM Tektite |

For flavor, I'm going to include the old faction missions. (The last installment actually uses them for part of the Secondary Success Condition.)
Long have you kept the Flame of Freedom alight in Absalom, and now word comes to the ears of the Eagle Knights that your fellows in the Pathfinder Society have dispatched you to Galt, birthplace of Liberty. Far has that nation fallen since it lit the flame of Revolution that brought freedom to Andoran, and much work remains to be done to return stability to the land and restore our kingdom’s most natural ally. As it happens, a secret agent of the Grey Corsairs, code-named GYRFALCON, is under deep cover as a member of Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro’s household staff at the Woodsedge Lodge. Upon your arrival (or shortly thereafter), please seek him out. You will find him posing as a porter named ALONDAIS. Deliver the following coded message to him: EVEN THE MOST POWERFUL OF RATS MUST FEAR THE TALONS FROM ABOVE. He will know what to do. Under no circumstances are you to reveal the true identity of “Alondais” to Petulengro, other members of her staff, or those among your Society compatriots who do not feel the thunder of freedom in their veins.
Many Thanks,
Captain Colson Maldris
Upon drafting this missive a third and final time, I find my original fury at your leave-taking on the eve of our sensuous ceremony lessened, for the Pathfinders’ ill-timed errand presents an enormous opportunity to Cheliax that is sure to bring applause in the Fell Court of Asmodeus himself. Enclosed in the case accompanying this letter you will find the Profane Scrolls of Beliac, a declaration of the sovereignty of Hell’s Majestic Court especially drafted for the traitors and lackwits of Revolutionary Galt, who still behead their own pathetic subjects for collusion with mighty Cheliax some four decades after the bloodbath began.
All of this death pleases the Majestrix, of course, but one cannot slaughter the subjects of Asmodeus (even the imagined subjects) forever without eventually drawing the ire of Hell. Once you have arrived in Galt, please read the Profane Scrolls aloud so that the fools of Galt receive their just reward and learn what it means to face a true servant of the Infernal Court. You will know when the time is right. I envy you the sight of their terrified faces. You will have to describe them in luxurious detail upon your return to my bedchambers. I have the perfect outfit in mind for the advent of your triumphant return. Do not keep me waiting overlong, my sweet.
Paracountess Zarta Dralneen
The blessings of the Thirteen Dynasties upon you and your companions, treasured champion of Osirion! Word has recently reached mine ears that your duties to the Society will soon take you to Revolutionary Galt, specifically to the Woodsedge Lodge. Tongues in Absalom suggests that the Lodge fell victim to the Terror, and that many of its treasures were stolen and scattered to the winds. It is Our sincerest hope that a single item of great worth to Osirion has remained safe in the Lodge’s archive. My own efforts have only just traced the object to the Lodge in question, and your upcoming visit provides a perfect opportunity to confirm my findings. The item I seek is a clay tablet recovered a century ago from the sands of our homeland by a foreign Pathfinder agent. Known as the Kathari Fragment, the Ancient Osirian text etched into its surface is said to reveal the location of the famed Immortality Stone, a priceless pictographic basalt stone said to depict a crucial step in the process that granted the lost pharaohs of Osirion eternal life. The Ruby Prince has thus far assembled forty-six such stones, with this stone the only piece missing from the ancient Life Equation.
We do not wish to arouse the ire of the Pathfinder Society, so I do not wish for you to steal the Kathari Fragment. Rather, you will serve our purposes by simply transcribing the text of the fragment onto a scroll, which you may return to me upon your return to Absalom. If this affair can be conducted without the knowledge of the Lady of the Lodge, Eliza Petulengro, so much the better.
As ever in the half-lit Path of Nethys, I remain:
Amenopheus, The Sapphire Sage
Forty years ago the Red Revolution in Galt closed that nation’s borders to all but the canniest merchants of Qadira. One of the wealthiest and greatest markets of Avistan fell to the Terror, and it has been many years since the roads of Galt have been safe for travel and trade.
My servants inform me that you are shortly to visit the Woodsedge Lodge on one of your errands for the Pathfinder Society. Though we hear it is much diminished from its former glory, that Lodge was once the site of royal visits, a bed of intrigue from which agents of Qadira and Galt made common cause against the hated influence of Taldor. Records from this time suggest that among the Lodge’s many secrets was a hidden passage to the Darklands below Galt, specifically the infamous “Low Highway” used by brigands, savage humanoids, and creatures from the depths of the earth to safely travel throughout Galt far below the notice of the authorities. Any confirmation that you can provide as to the existence of such a passage would be most helpful to our agents as we consider what is to be done with factious Galt in the future.
May your journeys bring you profit and further the needs of our growing empire,
Pasha Muhlia Al-Jakri Trade-Prince
Aaqir al’Hakam,
Long have your served our Emperor’s needs, and as you prepare for your upcoming journey to the dangerous, revolution-wracked nation of Galt you deliver to the people of Taldor an additional opportunity to bring unparalleled honor to your beloved homeland. As events in Oppara grow increasingly chaotic, Grand Prince Stavian III, our honored Emperor, turns inward, dedicating much of his resources to the study of his great-grandfather, the legendary Stavian the First.
It is the belief of the Emperor, I am told, that emulation of that great hero’s famously opulent lifestyle will rally the people behind the Throne, sensing in the current Stavian’s dedication to his family legacy a resurgence of the glory of Old Taldor. Agents recently delivered a missive personally signed by the Emperor’s Chamberlain himself, and to my surprise it referenced Galt’s Woodsedge Lodge. The fact that you will shortly travel to the location is the type of coincidence that tells us Aroden’s gaze has not truly passed over Taldor, and that the world is aligning itself for a triumphant return to glory!
The Emperor’s interest currently concerns a stuffed owlbear said to have graced the Woodsedge Lodge for centuries. Rumor in Galt has long held that this was the famous Beaky III, prized pet of Emperor Stavian the First. It is your duty to confirm that the Woodsedge Owlbear and Beaky III are one and the same. We do not wish to arouse the ire of the Pathfinder Society at this point in time, so the Emperor’s Chamberlain demands that you remove a 5-inch-square portion of the owlbear’s pelt, so that it can be personally tested by the Emperor’s alchemists to determine what steps should next be taken. It is absolutely essential that you not be seen! It is strange to think that the fate of a long-dead owlbear holds the key to our Empire’s long-due Return to Glory, but the mysteries of Taldor’s Rulers are to be celebrated, never questioned.
Hail Emperor Stavian III!
Baron Jacquo Dalsine Lady Gloriana Morilla

due to the messages flooding my inbox here is the calculations of my damage
+7(dex) dervish dance, +2 swashbuckler weapon training, +3 weapon enchantment, +12 precise strike, +8 power attack (12bab, one hand),+2 weapon specialization, +2 greater weapon specialization, = 36 static damage with a d6 15-20 X 2 crit precise strike does not apply on criticals
I also know that you can not draw a weapon as part of a 5ft step and do a full attack this is the reason that I have quickdraw as a feat and am able to draw as part of the initiative roll. Without the Quick draw feat I would not have been able to full attack.
no I do not think swashbucklers are the new gunslinger
yes precise strike only works against enemies that are not immune to sneak attack damage and no I didn't take out the damage because they are worms ( which I do not think are immune even if they should be) and I doubt my crit confirmed
In short I welcome the critiques as it keeps me on top of my game and heightens my awareness to things that are weird for when I gm.
also if any of you (including you GM Tektite) would like me to tone down or have any questions please just ask.

![]() |

Only error that I saw was that your critical damage included the +12 from Precise Strike when it shouldn't, but it probably didn't confirm. Simple copy+paste error that always happens to me. :D
Two questions from me if you don't mind:
1) How are you using a scimitar? The feat Slashing Grace would let you use a scimitar with a Swashbuckler build, but otherwise you would need to use a rapier (piercing weapon).
2) How do you have the extended crit range? I don't see Keen or Improved Critical.
Also, Karu has similar damaging potential, so I would never ask to tune it down.
This is his Power Attack/Smite line.
Smite/Power Attack: Unarmed | 1d10+2d6+33 (30) | x2 | +22/+17/+12 to hit

![]() |

Yes the feat is dervish dance the one from the world guide. Not to be confused with the one that requires worship of the sun god (auto correct does not like her name) that is from inner sea gods ? I do not have slashing grace due to the fact that Zandu was made during the play test of ACG and the combo of rebuild rules and the fact that he was almost lvl 12 made it kinda pointless
The improved crit range is from the swash weapon training class feature ( it's kinda hidden in the text)

![]() |

Swashbuckler Weapon Training (Ex): At 5th level, a swashbuckler gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one-handed or light piercing melee weapons. While wielding such a weapon, she gains the benefit of the Improved Critical feat. These attack and damage bonuses increase by 1 for every 4 levels beyond 5th level (to a maximum of +4 at 17th level).
ha took me awhile to find it and was starting to lose faith.
also someone want to try to finish off one so we are not being flanked and full attacked by two giant graboids

GM Bold Strider |

That's awesome. Swashbucklers are overpowered. :D
You get Weapon Finesse, Improved Critical, a bonus feat every four levels. At level 12, you have the same amount of bonus feats as a fighter, plus you get access to fighter only feats, full BAB, Precise Strike, d10 hit dice, 4+Int skills, weapon training, etc. Plus things like deeds, panache, nimble, etc.
;-)

![]() |

true but they also have a lot of easily exploited weaknesses as well as limited ranged capabilities and are full attack dependent like most melee martials and will never be on the lvl of ranged characters.
also champions of irori saves op :p
besides playtests were rough

![]() |

I like how the swashbuckler gives a tank role to dexterity builds and haven't seen one at 12th level. I agree with Zandu and think ranged attack builds with point blank master are deadlier. I suppose with a sibat, trident or whip, one could increase the range of their attacks but nothing like bow or musket. I'm excited to see Zandu in action.

Enjoy your 4th July!

![]() |

I will be going on vacation starting Friday and will have no internet access for the vast majority of the time I'm away. I should be back a week from Sunday. Please bot my PC as best you can please!

![]() |

Just letting you know that I'll be away on vacation since tomorrow (Sunday) until Friday. I'll be able to post with Wayfinder and will be checking once a day, though I won't have access to the battlemap.

well that was a fun and intense series of fights. The ideal of having constructs taxi in giant monsters is hilarious (at least that is what I am assuming happened). Also as always I am always trying to improve my PBP and am willing to listen to critiques of actions in combat.
Finally anyone have any interesting ideals of what to do with the lollipop guild prisoners?

Note: I will be leaving Saturday, Aug. 22 for a ten day trip to Italy. The hotel is supposed to have wifi, and I hope to have time in the evenings to update. That being said, this is my and my wife's first trip to Italy and I foresee being exhausted in the evenings as we try to cram in as much sightseeing as possible. I'm currently in the process of moving the maps to Google Slides, so that I have a modicum of edit ability from my mobile. I will return late Sept. 2 and will back to regular posting Sept. 3/4.
