Rerois Mottied |
Rerois glares at the imp again. "Your wants are immaterial, fiend. You are here as a servant of Lady Dralneen, her wants are the only concern you should have. Your mistress desires that box, and you will give it to her or face due punishment as a faithless servant." Rerois points a gloved hand to Lady Dralneen and expectantly waits for his instructions to be followed.
Syllyn |
"You know, Rerois, he isn't acting much like a servant. Are you sure about the relationship involved here. Lady Draineen, would you care to comment? Any chance you might explain how it got here and why its acting so... in control? Or you, fiendish friend, would you care to comment? Say, perhaps you would let me sooth you with a performance? You seem a bit aggravated about that little box."
Golangar |
"The large human there is right. Give us the box, as your mistress has commanded you."
Golangar readies to fire a ray of binding darkness at the little devil if it makes any threatening moves. Readied use of school ability.
GM Faelyn |
"A leather bag and a silver hook that allows imps such as myself to be pulled from Hell and into the service of the one who draws us. I want to hide it, to protect my kind from you foul humans!" The imp hisses at Rerois and Golanger, though the previous threat had weakened his will a little. He begins to twitch his tail and his wings tremble as he prepares to disappear!
Golangar - Go ahead and make your attack roll against the imp. Your ability may be enough to disrupt the imp's SLA. Anyone adjacent to the imp receives an AoO (Although according to the map, no one is within melee range. If you had meant for that, then make sure you always move your PC icon to the spot on the map where you want them to be.
Sune Wanderlust |
Sune lifts her spear and prepares herself against the invisible imp.
"Careful!"
readied naginata atk if it comes into view: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Syllyn |
Syllyn was going to cast lullaby on the poor misunderstood thing, but that's out of the question now that its beat me to the punch. Waiting for perception rolls and initiative now.
GM Faelyn |
Juhnavi: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Neseth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Rerois: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Sune: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Syllyn: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Imp: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Round 1
Group 1 - Golangar & Sune. Group 2 - Juhnavi, Imp, Rerois, Neseth, & Syllyn.
Group 1 is up!
Golangar |
Golangar will move farther into the room and cast a color spray spell at the general direction of where the imp had been before it went invisible.
DC 17 color spray. If he stayed where he was, it'll hit him, otherwise it prolly won't.

Did you move your icon yet? From where it is currently located it seems you will catch some PCs in the spray.

Yes, definitely check the location of your icon on the map and adjust as necessary, please. Otherwise, I think Rerois and Juhnavi might be a little irritated with the little Wayang wizard... lol
Syllyn |
"I suggest someone blocks the outer door add makes sure the imp does not leave."
GM Faelyn |
Will Save DC17: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Golangar's brilliant lights wash over the corner area, but whether they had any effect upon the imp was unknown.
Sune is up!
GM Faelyn |
Sorry, I had a readied attack above if it came into view. I guess it didn't, so I'm in delay until it does.
Gotcha!
Round 1, Group 1 Recap
Golangar sends out a multi-hued spray of lights towards the spot they all last observed the imp; however, it is not known if the spell was effective or not. Sune keeps her weapon out and ready, prepared to strike the moment the imp shows itself. Golangar - Color Spray. Sune - Delay with a readied attack.
Round 2, Group 2 Actions
A mischievous cackling can be heard suddenly from the corner of the room as the tall mirror suddenly tips over and crashes to the ground, spreading broken glass all over the floor. Indicated by the Red, 4-pointed star in the corner. Treat that square as if covered with Caltrops.
Group Two is up!
Neseth |
Nethes walks to the doors and assumes a threatening stance. I will ready an action to attack the imp if he comes within threat range.
Juhnavi Ahliwylia |
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! We don't need to fight! Look, we're from the Pathfinder Society. We're here to retrieve the item - the hook I guess - for it to be placed in the vaults, where it is very unlikely that it will be used again. The Society's vaults are full of things they never use. Why not let us have it?"
Perception to try to see where the imp is: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
-Posted with Wayfinder
Syllyn |
"Anyone have detect magic? That might help locate the tiny fellow if he moves again."
Attempt to locate the little bugger with perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Not likely! Syllyn will start a raging song of inspired rage.
When the skald begins a raging song (actually percussion based) and then on each ally's turn, if the ally can hear the raging song, that ally must decide whether to accept or refuse its effects. This is not an action. Unconscious allies automatically accept the song. If accepted, the raging song's effects on that ally last for that ally's turn or until the song ends, whichever comes first.
Inspired Rage (Su): At 1st level, affected allies gain a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution and a +1 morale bonus on Will saving throws, but also take a –1 penalty to AC. While under the effects of inspired rage, allies other than the skald cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.
If an ally has her own rage class ability (such as barbarian's rage, bloodrager's bloodrage, or skald's inspired rage), she may use the Strength, Constitution, and Will saving throw bonuses, as well as AC penalties, based on her own ability and level instead of those from the skald (still suffering no fatigue afterward). Inspired rage does not allow an ally to activate abilities dependent on other rage class abilities, such as rage powers, blood casting, or bloodrager bloodlines; the ally must activate her own rage class ability in order to use these features.
Syllyn |
Is everyone else delaying until the imp makes an appearance? Syllyn did his standard action and a step. No use for a move action without knowing where the little bugger is.
Neseth |
Unless I can find him with Detect Magic, I am not sure what else we can do. Unless someone can come up with a clever plan.
Sune Wanderlust |
With the creature at range, Sune lowers her naginata and draws a javelin to cast at it, should it appear.
Until it shows up, I got nothin'. I'll take the rage.
naginata, rage!: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 201d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
GM Faelyn |
Detect Magic would definitely work to pinpoint the imp's square; It would show the aura in the square. He would still benefit from the concealment provided by invisibility, but you would at least know where it is located. There are some items around the room that might aid in removing the invisibility benefit once you can locate the imp. Anything that you can see on the map is fair game to be used. Also, I'm waiting on Rerois to post before moving on.
Sune, could you please move your icon on the map so that I know where exactly your character is located? Thanks!
Sune Wanderlust |

Done, sorry.

Muchas gracias! If Rerois has not posted by 7:00 PM EST, I'll just merge him into Group 1 so that we can keep things moving.
Rerois Mottied |
Rerois looks around, ears ready for any sound. "This choice has been noted, fiend. Your decision to disobey has now increased the punishment you will face, and I shall enjoy it! Reveal yourself and return the box, and there will be some mercy. Though I'd rather you not, as it means greater pain to punish you with."
Demoralize the imp, take 10 = 23
Syllyn |
"Hmmm... I've always wanted imp skin gloves. Since the bugger insists on making this difficult, I think I deserve a pair from this, don't you think Rerois?"
I don't have a standard action or I'd do an aid.
Juhnavi Ahliwylia |
You can't take 10 in combat.
-Posted with Wayfinder
GM Faelyn |
Juhnavi, thank you for covering that! Hey, busy night tonight so it's likely not going to be until 11:00 PM CST that I will be able to get a post in. Thanks for your patience!
GM Faelyn |
Round 1, Group 2 Recap
Neseth moves forward into the bedroom and shuts the doors behind him, trapping the imp in the room with them! Juhnavi looks around in an attempt to spot the little creature; however, she cannot seem to pinpoint the exact spot! Syllyn begins an inspirational song to drive a rage into his comrades! Rerois attempts to demoralize the invisible imp, which he successfully does so, but it is not yet quite enough to cause the infernal creature to give up his prize just yet... Sune changes out her polearm for a javelin, bidding her time for a visible target.
Rerois' Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Neseth, you still have a Standard Action remaining if you want to cast Detect Magic.
Round 2, Group 1 Actions
Group 1 is up! If Neseth decides to cast Detect Magic, I will allow you to adjust your actions if you post prior to that decision.
GM Faelyn |
As soon as Neseth completes the casting of his spell, he immediately spots a magical aura hovering a few feet above the knocked over mirror in the far corner. (As indicated by the Red 4-pointed star.)
Sorry on the delay folks; last two days have been really stressful and busy.
Juhnavi Ahliwylia |
"Where is it? Do you see the little blighter?" Juhnavi growls, the skald's song filling her with anger.
Syllyn |
"What do you say we try to tackle the little bugger like that game your kind plays with the big ball, only he has a case."
GM Faelyn |
Juhnavi: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Neseth: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
Rerois: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14
Sune: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Syllyn: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
If an invisible creature strikes a character, the character struck knows the location of the creature that struck him (until, of course, the invisible creature moves). The only exception is if the invisible creature has a reach greater than 5 feet. In this case, the struck character knows the general location of the creature but has not pinpointed the exact location.
If a character tries to attack an invisible creature whose location he has pinpointed, he attacks normally, but the invisible creature still benefits from full concealment (and thus a 50% miss chance). A particularly large and slow invisible creature might get a smaller miss chance.
Now that you have determined the square the imp is in, you can attack that square with either AoE's (splash weapons) or standard attacks with the appropriate miss chance of 50%. Also, here's a freebie ;)
Neseth spots the nearby sheets and comforter upon the bed and realizes that they could be used like a net...
Syllyn |
Still waiting for group1 to finish and for the imp to go. Faelyn as soon as you say the word I have a couple of things I could do. I was planning on doing a lullaby and seeing if he would just drop the box, but I could also do the sheet thing.
GM Faelyn |
Group 1 - Golangar & Sune. Group 2 - Juhnavi, Imp, Rerois, Neseth, & Syllyn.
Just in case folks forgot. Group 1 is up in Round 2!
Syllyn |
If you are looking for something to do, grab a broom. As they told me when I worked at McDonald's - if you got time to lean, you got time to clean. :)
Golangar |
Golangar, now knowing where the creature is, will fire off a binding darkness at its square.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
miss chance, high hits: 1d100 ⇒ 71
But he probably misses with his ray.
Sune Wanderlust |
Not one to wait patiently, Sune steps into the room and moves to the last known location of the imp.
"Show yourself! We don't have time for games!" she exclaims, exasperated by the waiting.
naginata: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 151d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
concealment (high good): 1d100 ⇒ 77
