"Let's get in there and mess some **** up!" Glubby recommends, preferring to take the straight-forward path.
He leaps into the water with his net and rapier at the ready to snare some shark meat!

Shoallana |

Shoallana begins an inspiring, bubbly sea song, then marks the eastern adaro with her bane, then moves five feet up the water column, snapping her wrist to produce a wand.
+1 attk/damg vs all, +2 attk/damg vs eastern adaro.

Harold shakes off the effects of the poison! He then tries to stab at the shark-thing that stabbed him! I'm not taking any penalties for being underwater on these rolls if we have any so adjust if need be please.

Patches Sarsaparilla Whitepaw |

Knowing that there was trouble in the water Parches would have drank his potion of touch of the sea and cast a shield spell from one of his scrolls before jumping in.
Also, not that it would have made a difference here, but Patches took improved initiative at the level up. He has a +8 bonus now..
Faced with many teeth trying to chew him to pieces Patches decides to deal with one of the adaro first. Using his unusual fighting form, he stabs at the creature that just paralyzed Glub, then tries to call on his magic for another attack, but loses his concentration.
Eldritch Point to add +1 to weapon.

Yes, FF since they acted first and assuming you would still be recovering from your dives.

Ursion is up!

Ursion Crispin |

Ursion manages to keep his equilibrium and stabs the red adaro after studying it for a moment to find its weaknesses.
BTW, how do you want to represent movement out of the plane of the map? Ursion would eventually like to try to flank one of the adaro, going up and over it (or under it).

Yes, it's unfortunate there are not grids beyond the ship (and the module even suggests using this map for some reason!) so just estimate it to the best of your ability. I thought about superimposing a grid but that gets messy.

Glub Glub, The Drowned Frog |

Is Shoal dead :O? 17+1+19+19 = 56 > 41+14 (Con)
Glubby floats back down to the bottom of the sea. Goodbye cruel world...

Glub Glub, The Drowned Frog |

Wait! You are submerged in water! Hydrated Vitality should have activated your fast healing. So, +4 HP and the bleed stops, I think. Don't know if it stops before it deals damage or after.

Shoallana |

Ah, I forgot about that, thanks! I thought about it before the fight started, then promptly forgot it.
So I think, either way, she is at -52 hp with another 6 hp of fast healing.

Harold Henry Howard Higgins IV |

Assuming I can take a 5' step and that Hydrated Vitality saved our fallen, Harold will move back and cast Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4.
If we haven't had any time for a rest, I'm out of spells.

EndlessForms |

Oh s&@+, I didn't even realize Shoallana was that hurt. I thought the first round attack missed for some reason.
Unfortunately hydrated vitality doesn't say anything about stopping bleeding, nor does fast healing. So I think you'd still be bleeding every turn but your vitality can counter some/most of it at least. Unless you can show me what I'm missing about it stopping the bleeding somehow.

Glub Glub, The Drowned Frog |

Looking it over, it appears that bleeds aren't stopped by Fast Healing, but it is stopped by 4H's CLW!

Patches Sarsaparilla Whitepaw |

"Should we retreat!?"
Patches stabs at the adaro again, and this time manages to get a spell off, which causes him to vanish. Once invisible, he swims around the shark, leaving a blood trail in the water.

Actually, Glubby floats to the top of the water as he is wearing a Besmara's Bicorne! :D Six more rounds of paralysis!
Hmm... Bobbing here like food ready to be eaten... Glubby wonders as he stares at the open sky, his weapons clenched in his paralyzed hands.

Harold Henry Howard Higgins IV |

Oh no! The healing wasn't enough!
Harold will take a 5' step and then go after his sinking friend!

Ursion Crispin |

Aaaaand I think there goes Ursion....
This sure is turning into a literal bloodbath, not sure how to remedy it....
Initiative:
1. Sharks
2. Glubby, Shoallana, Ursion, Harold, and Patches

Ursion Crispin |

Two questions: first, how far could Ursion get in retreating after taking down the adaro; and second, if the sharks have animal intelligence is there a reason they aren't going for the easy meals (i.e., the downed adaros)?

Harold Henry Howard Higgins IV |

Was I able to reach the wand of CLW that Shoallana had? I can grab that while rescuing her I'd think.

EndlessForms |

Yes, Harold could get the wand.
Ursion could have used his move action after killing it if he wished.
Well, the adaros were telepathically commanding the sharks to attack but I guess once the adaros fall unconscious they would go for them. But in the same line of reasoning, the sharks should be going after Glubby and the others who are also floating unconscious nearby....
It is not said that the crew helps since you are underwater now and they are not. They could fire crossbows and whatnot but with the penalties for shooting in to water I honestly don't know that it will/would have made a huge difference.

Harold Henry Howard Higgins IV |

Harold will tap Ursion with the wand then.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
He'll then continue to move Shaol out of harm's way if that brings him back to positive, if not I'll try to drag him up also until next turn.

Glub Glub, The Drowned Frog |

He hears splashing behind his head as Glubby wonders what is going on. They better reel me in... Just letting me float here like this is embarassing.

EndlessForms |

They do have a bard with CLW!
Jaspin, one of the crew, runs up to Patches and casts a curing spell:
clw: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Let's see, they also have an alchemist but not with the infusion discovery. Luckily:
Vancid, the ship ballistae expert, also runs up to Patches and hands over a potion.
cmw: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 4) + 3 = 14
Captain Lanteri herself comes to the side of the boat and curses at the large amount of blood in the water and the swarming sharks. She drops her pistol on the deck and casts a spell to turn invisible. A large splash is heard in the water nearby....
@Ursion: the wreck would probably be too far away but you could try like Patches to climb back up to the ship. Without a climb speed it will be harder but not impossible; there are ropes and things to grab.

Patches Sarsaparilla Whitepaw |

Healing magic from the crew quickly gets Patches back on his feet. "Quick! Throw ropes to them!" He points to his struggling companions. Vaulting the rail, he scrambles down and grabs Glub, trying to haul him out of the water.

Shoallana |

I believe that last heal takes Shoal to around +1
Coming to, Shoal quickly scans the area and sees the dire straits the party is in, as she grabs the wand from H, and begins looking to heal people.
Can't tell how close Shoal is to the sharks.
Seeing the adaro down, Shoallana tries to draw upon her aquatic heritage and urge the sharks to go elsewhere for their dinner.
Wild empathy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crosses fingers.

EndlessForms |

In their bloodlust the sharks don't seem ready to listen to Shollana. Instead they both go after Harold!

bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

and 1d6 bleed
Captain Lanteri then appears behind one of the sharks, her rapier jabbing at it from behind!
mwk rapier: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 + 2 = 19

mwk rapier: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
damage: 1d6 + 4d6 ⇒ (1) + (6, 5, 2, 2) = 16
The Captain nearly takes one of the sharks down but is now vulnerable out in the water! The bard Jaspin casts a spell and reaches down to Ursion. "Touch my hand!"
clw: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Vancid, meanwhile, takes out his wand and keeps working on Patches.
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Some of the other crew throw ropes over the side of the ship to make it easier to climb back in.
