In another guise, I'm going to be running Thornkeep Level 1 (Tier 1-2) for PbP Game Day IV, and there are currently only five people in the party. Anyone interested in playing?
I am leaving for vacation to North Carolina tomorrow evening and I will be gone until the 4th of October. I should still be able to update every day, but some days might prove inconsistent.
There's some diplomacy and discovery to be done and one more combat left to finish off Part 2. So we are actually very close. And Part 3 is mostly a dungeon crawl, although not a particularly dense dungeon. I count 8 combats in my quick flip through, with a few other things to deal with along the way.
I don't have a map. It is basically open water so you shouldn't have too much trouble moving into flank. I can put up a map if you want but I'm being limited to my lab computer and posting during work at the moment.

Wait, what? We're done? OK, so this is 4 levels worth of chronicles. Hmm, Joesef is 4th level so I can get him to 8th. Let's do that so he can be 2nd level in all four of his classes. It makes sense since that's what I did with Harold. :)

That was a pretty scary end fight.
Also, I'm a little lost on the greater story of the module. So the players are basically hired to help out, but are betrayed before the big payout, which leads to tracking down Captain Lanteri for vengeance and/or treasure? What was the point of the horn? Were we supposed to use it somehow?
No, the horn's abilities are on the chronicle sheet and you can see they don't really do anything special for you. I have to agree with you though that the story is a little haphazard and loosely put together.

Apply all the chronicles to Vanyel, #67750-4. Thanks for running! There were definitely some cool individual vignettes, but you're right--the scenario didn't really gel as a whole. Incidentally, will Vanyel have to pay to clear Ursion's DEX drain?
