The door opens up revealing a circular staircase. The way down is filled with rubble from the collapse and impassible. However, the way up seems to intact.

"Well, ascending the tower further will be easier once we're done on this floor."
Avasir then turns and approaches the final unopened door from this room.
"Should we sneak upstairs quietly or see what's in here and prevent it from becoming a problem at a later time? Maybe that sound is an ongoing bath and if there is another, it will smell less than these two."

"Lets clear each floor before we go up. I really don't want to face a fight from two fronts." Hob says in agreement with Avasir.
He then inspects the door leading to the last room on the current floor, as they have with every door thus far.

"Looks clear to me. I don't even hear the dripping you have all mentioned. Selfi, I know you heard things before when I didn't so how about you check...?"
If no one takes him up on the offer to look, Hob will open the door, his weapon still drawn and ready, and peer into the room.

The door opens up with revealing the room beyond. Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor. Turning its head at the sound, you see a giant lizard.

Since Arindel has no idea what is going on he airs on the side of caution. He puts away his preferred weapon and pulls out his bow to try to see how the lizard thing can handle an arrow.

Aridel's shaft skips off the creature's blue scales. The lizard races toward the door. As it gets next to Selfi, a small spark of lightning jumps through the air, briefly connecting the elf and reptile.

Dolgarth moves up and takes a swipe with his sword. "Here's another thing I've never met before. Pity it had to pick a fight." Unfortunately, his focus on defense combines with the bad terrain and an overall off strike, leading to a huge miss.

It's a potentially naive point of strategy coming from a wizard, but as always he works the problem in front of him.

Though the lizard avoids a second strike from the ax, it quickly succumbs to the onslaught of sword and bolt. It convulses once, the party waiting in anticipation of a final electric burst. However, as the seconds tick by, it becomes evident the creature holds no further danger.
Combat over!
A quick yet thorough search leads the team to believe that this room was used as a holding pen for the lizard. How or why it was brought here is not so evident.
Taking 10 on Perception is enough to learn that there is nothing of note in the chamber.

Avasir follows Hob up the stairs. Just before he leaves the stairwell and enters the next floor he pauses for a moment to look around for traps and scan for magic auras.

Climbing the stairs to the next landing, you see a single door on the west side. However, rubble has blocked the doorway here as well. The stairwell continues up to the next floor without obstruction. As you reach the landing the the fourth floor, you notice natural light coming from the floor above.
In the interest of finishing on time, treating the third floor as an optional encounter. Happy to hit it on the way back down if we have time and you guys really want to.
Taking 10 on Perception reveals... You hear hisses and grunts that you believe to be language coming from beyond the door.
Go ahead and place yourselves in the stairwell.
