Selected characters, please check in here.
What you will need to do:
1 - Go to The area map and send me a request to be able to see it.
2 - Please edit your Classes/Levels area in your profile to include data I might want to know. Here is an example line but you can change it up if it meets the needs of your character better. You will need to close the bold tags where appropriate to not have the formatting show up in your profile.
Fighter 1 [b]HP[b] 13/13; [b]AC[b] 16, T 10, FF 16; [b]CMD[b] 14; F +4, R +0, W +0 (+2 v Enchantment); [b]Init[b] +2, [b]Per[b]+5
3 - Go to the gameplay thread and start your adventure.
4 - If you have questions, comments, want to tell off color jokes, or do non-game related things, this is the place to do it.

Follow up items:
I think I need a character portrait for Thorn. If you could pick one for our character, I will use it when I build maps.

Thorn Slivertip |

Alias is up.

GM Deuce |

I updated the map with access for 3 people that made requests. Please let me know if it doesn't work for you.
Nice to see you, Urga.

Thorn Slivertip |

It works for me.
Hey everybody. Does anybody wish to discuss tactics here? I'm mostly a ranged combatant though I can mixed it up in melee.

Rikael Ashenstone |

I'm pretty much a melee beast, and a spell caster guardian. I'll specialize in holding the enemy down so we can move around. I'll dual path champion and guardian when we go mythic.

Sildur Farwind |

Thank you Deuce for the selection!
Request sent and profile updated.
Sildur is a fair mix of melee and summoning support. Dru should make a solid flanking buddy for anyone, especially at this level.

Rikael Ashenstone |

GM, since I post mostly from my phone, placing my own token doesn't work. Do you move us, or do we move ourselves?

GM Deuce |

My goal was to give everybody edit privs on the drawing, but I can also move people's tokens if need be during the summary at the end of each combat round.
As long as your posts are sufficiently descriptive, I don't see that as being a problem.

Agatha's tatics are simple enough at the moment. Mage armor, before combat if possible, then hex on opponents, evil eye, guidance on allies. Web bolt if neede. She will try to stay out of direct combat by staying behind the fighter wall.

Urga the Ogre Prophet |

My request was sent.
Urga will be front-line melee with healing support. Where possible he will use his spells to self buff for max attack and damage.

GM Deuce |

LOL, Agatha. Don't worry too much. There are, by design, some low hanging plot hooks that you can grab onto.

Thorn Slivertip |

Happy Birthday Sildur.

Izumi Hitomi |

Party too hard? Why would he do such a thing? Lmao. Happy birthday man

Sildur Farwind |

Party too hard? Why would he do such a thing? Lmao. Happy birthday man
The better question is how would I do such a thing? :P
But really, it was tuesday. Rather tame, just a fun evening with friends.
Thanks you all for the birthday wishes!

GM Deuce |

OK, all. Here is something I forgot to ask until Rikael was talking with the bartender.
How do you want to handle social interactions? You can have each person get an attempt at talking to an NPC or you can nominate a party member to do it. If one person gets the job, I'm OK with them taking 2 or 3 rolls if need be to reflect their higher skill at interacting with people.
I can go either way, but want to know what you prefer. It's the trade-off between having everybody get to role play but things taking longer -vs- one person getting to find things out in bulk and (hopefully) go faster.
I hope nobody minds that I rolled for Rikael. The results were better than expected but they all might not work that well.

Rikael Ashenstone |

I usually give everyone a single roll in a "round" for skill challenges, and then tally up successes and failures and see if the party won or not, but that's in my home games, that might take way too long in pbp. Any way you want to do it is fine with me.

Izumi Hitomi |

I'm fine with however you want to work it as well. As long as it doesn't become a madhouse free for all in combat, then I won't mind much.

Sildur Farwind |

There you are my lady. I do believe that the question at hand is actually about social rolls outside of combat however.
As for myself I'm also cool with however you choose to do it.
The best suggestion I can come up with that won't bog things down might be to simply have the most diplomacy capable person in any given conversation roll and have the others who speak attempt to assist.
I'd also suggest that we all grant you permission to make rolls like that on our behalf where appropriate. It should greatly help to speed things along that way.

GM Deuce |

Agreed, Sildir, the issue mostly comes about in non-combat situations where there is far less structure.
I'm hearing a weak preference for one person talks/the rest assist. I'll point it out next time the topic will have a game effect.

Rikael Ashenstone |

Also, I don't mind if you roll some things for Rikael to speed the game along. I would actually prefer it. Let's just hope you keep rolling that high. Haha.

Izumi Hitomi |

Sorry, guys, busy plate today. I spent the rest of my week getting other things done and haven't been able to get any prep done for my IRL game. And that needs to be done considering they went much faster than I thought they would and I've only got one encounter prepped for them. They're going through encounters pretty quickly for low level characters right now, so I'm gonna be a little busy prepping.

Urga the Ogre Prophet |

Quote from Yul Brynner in the Ten Commandments. Also, lyrics from the Metallica song "Creeping Death".
I prefer individual rolls, but I'm ok with a rep if that is what the group decides.

Izumi Hitomi |

How do you want to handle GP tracking by the way?

GM Deuce |

I'd hope that you guys could tell me how you want to handle tracking gold/loot. You've spent a very small amount of gold so far, which I have figured comes out of everybody's pocket change.
I've seen groups do it in the discussion thread, via a doc/spreadsheet, or outside the message board altogether. It's a group game so we should have a group consensus around that.
Preferences everybody?

Izumi Hitomi |

Don't matter to me. Individual we can keep track of, but I've been used to party loot on a sheet.

Thorn Slivertip |

I suggest a loot sheet. Easier to keep track on.

Sildur Farwind |

Yeah, it's probably best handled outside of gameplay. Other than that I'm cool with whatever method you prefer.
On a side note, I think the group has thus far paid almost double what was asked :P

GM Deuce |

I'll fire up a loot sheet.
Apparently you all are good tippers :). Expect good service next time you arrive at the stoat.

GM Deuce |

Loot sheet up. I'll try to give people access based on the map, but you may need to request it.
