My AC is at 23 right now, not 19, so I'm subtracting 23 from that total damage (unless the damage stands for some reason I can't see). And unless he has a bonus to confirming crits, I don't think the crit landed because aren't you supposed to use the same attack bonus as the one that crit threats?

There were two attacks there. The 19 missed. The nat 20 for a 27 however, did not. He does have bonuses to confirm crits: imp crit to name one. Moreover, Greataxe is a x3 multiplier, so yes, 64 damage stands + 16 for the fireball with a successfull save = 80 damage.

In case it hasn't been said we're (or I'm as necessary) taking all the magic items off the bodies.

He also makes a cursory search of the woman's body for intel.

Owen does his best to disengage, run/fly to the mage type's mangled corpse grab it and fly to Cecil's side with it.

Owen spring attack if that's relevenat here. Also he has a 60' fly speed. His AC is 28, or 32 when mobility is relevant.

Assuming he makes it Cecil will help him shove both bodies into the Bags of holding that Owen has as Saddlebags.

Owen disengages and scoops up the first commander's corpse. Cecil shoves both bodies into his bag, and the team retreats to heal and plan their next attack.

Edit: As we're withdrawing Cecil asks the group "Are we retreating anywhere particular?"
