At this point, though we're not quite to his entrance yet, I'd like our ninja to introduce himself. You guys can figure out what role he can fill and what his ideas are for build.

Hi everyone! Thanks for letting me sneak into this game!

Shinami is fighting mostly as an unarmed damage dealer, based around a grappling ninja. He should be able to keep one opponent tied up in combat/strangled while everyone else is doing their thing.

He IS a skill monkey, can use magical devices, disable devices, etc.

I did equip him with one cure light wounds wand, but will gladly toss it over to Kayla if she needs it.

I did bring along some poisons for various occasions, and I grabbed a rope of climbing in case we ever needed to get the heavier armored folks up a ledge.

I should also mention this is my first time playing Pathfinder so I'm very excited!

Example, when Maedoc asks Shinami what I can do, do I just reply with I can climb things and use magical devices and disarm traps? Or is what I did ok?

Personally I think you should have said you can one-shot things and then made it happen. Oh, and that you were level capped so we get all the XP.

You have the ability to write to the King. maybe he'll answer. The law says that the prince can act as the king in most things through the right of succession.

Hey Shinami, you are doing just fine, and do continue to ask here if you are not sure about anything. You'll get into the rhythm of PBP pretty quickly I am sure.

Nah, I do without maps in some of my other PBPs.

All of you should be able to move your characters. just click the picture, then drag the fram to the desired location. You need to be signed in to gmail to do it though.

Brynn did most of the work getting the map set up for us. Thanks to him!

Is each square 5 ft?

And now that the assassins have gone, do we continue in initiative order as rolled previously? Or does that change every round? Sorry for the noob questions!

Each square is 5 feet unless otherwise stated.

We go on "Team Initiative" each "side" roles individual initiatives and i average the two teams. Then, the teams go one at a time. this way you can post whenver you can on your team's turn and it keeps things moving a bit better.

Osslend, if you'd like to change the images for your dogs, I just chose a couple for placeholders. Dunno if you'd wanna do just a simple R and V or something like that, too, or what. Up to you! Anyway, click the image, click the dropdown arrow on the frame, and "Edit image", from there you can upload one of your own, or just link straight to a URL.

^ Same goes for anyone that wants to use a different image, but your avatar makes the most sense, imo :P

Good work on the map guys. I can't seem to move Bryce's image, but have posted his movement if someone else can do it for me :)

I had the same issue. To move the characters, click on it and hover at the top to show the pull up menu, click and drag that part, not the picture itself. You'll see the little hand icon pop up. I went ahead and moved him for you though!

You also must be signed into gmail to edit. Again, thanks to Brynn for getting us set up.

DSP, I took the feat strangler which allows me to do my sneak attack damage as a swift action after I maintain a grapple. Is that what you mean by choking out or maintain one more grapple, and the guy passes out?

When grappling, you do it in three stages.

1. Grapple opponent
2. Maintain the grapple
3. Inflict damage, move, or choke.

At any point during those steps, if the opponent breaks the grapple, you start over.

So, next round, you maintain your grapple and, thanks to your feat, you do sneak damage.

The round after that, you do unarmed damage and sneak. Normally, you'd have to wait until the 3rd round to do any damage.

I agree. Decent grappler builds are nothing to sneeze at. Nice job.

Thank you Ed, I don't know too much about the game but the idea of a grappling martial art ninja was just fantastic in my head.

So I was giving some thought to what we can do to piss off the Prince's team more since they are clearly not annoyed enough with us. Clearly Brynn (since he's the one that felled the halfling) needs to go and romance their enchantress. I'd bet that the human fighter is smitten with her which guarantees a great reaction.
