Valandil Anwamanë |
Valandil quickly checks the area for magical auras, before stepping back and allowing those with the right skills to work.

He backs away from the door.

Pitbull |
Pitbull pushes along, wondering how long the true evil behind this place can keep hiding from them.
Pitbull |
Pitbull checks the door 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 then opens it...
GM Crash |
There are no traps on the door and it is not locked. The original purpose of this plain stone room has been lost to history, but numerous footprints have disturbed the dust covering the floor. Pitbull then sees a skeleton and a zombie standing in the room. The skeleton looks different than the previous four, tougher it seems. The zombie looks kind of similar to the skeleton, like they were created the same way.

Pitbull |
"Bah! I got hit...again!"
Pitbull grumbles, then helps searching the room.
Nesterok |
Nesterok looked at Pitbull amused and said My dear, don't you see the zombie not far from you ?
Then moved near the strange zombie at the left side of Garox and after calling for his luck swift action : Archeologist's Luck attack it

Round 1 (complete)
The skeleton advances on Pitbull and slashes her.
Garox easily bashes the skeleton.
Nesterok moves up and tries to slash the zombie but is unable to.
The zombie tries attacking Nesterok.
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Valandil disrupts the zombie's body.
Grigori delays.
Pitbull cuts the zombie in half.
Combat over!
Pitbull finds nothing in this room, it is just a plain stone room.
Grigori Yefimovich |
Grigori was about to hold up his symbol once more but, after merely getting out half a word, he stops. "You're really getting the hang of this now, hehehe."
The priest searches the bodies of the undead, paying particular heed to why they may be different from the regular breed of skellies and zombies.
Search the bodies, identify anything unusual:
Perception: 10 + 3 = 13
Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Profession(mortician): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
...or not! Should've taken 10 on all of them, lol.
Valandil Anwamanë |
"I would feel better if we finished looking down the corridor before we went through that door."
Suggests Valandil.
"Or do you think something that size may just be a hiding place? Bah, could you check it for traps?"
Garox Fang |
"Very well. I'll give it a once over."
Garox says as he checks the door.

Pitbull |
Pitbull smells the air for any new scents.
Scent ability
Then moves in to poke at the curtain with her sword and get it out of the way.
GM Crash |
Heavy red curtains drape the wall of this chamber, and a thick layer of dust carpets the floor. Two sets of stone double doors stand in the east and west walls. East would be the side you guys came in through. The party knows that the hallway they were in when they fought the four skeletons leads to the eastern double doors. The western door looks like one solid featureless piece except for a strangely shaped depression in the middle. The depression looks like the "key" that the party found in the library.
Pitbull |
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
After a brief surveil of the door...
"I'll do it"
Pitbull gets the party 10' back (at least) from the door, with their weapons ready, and then uses the 'key'.
GM Crash |
When the key is placed into the depression between the two doors, the
stone changes to a rippling mass of flesh. Moments later, a bloody wound opens in the middle of the fleshy mass as the doors pull themselves apart to allow egress into the neighboring room.
A large statue stands in the corner of this L-shaped room, depicting a tall feather emblazoned with a large open eye. Though apparently carved from stone, the statue gleams with a golden-green iridescence. A pair of stone doors stands in the east wall in the short leg of the L.
Carved into the floor between the western doors and the statue is the following inscription: “Though veiled behind the plumage of the soul, the Eye still sees, unblinking, through all the ages, from the beginning to the end of time. When the Three are One, and the spirit becomes flesh, the Seal may be opened and the Sleepers awakened. And the glorious apocalypse shall consume us all.”
Pitbull |
"Gross" Pitbull enters and pokes around the room with her sword.
Grigori Yefimovich |
The priest ponders the unsettling process while stroking his bearded chin. "Hmmm. This statue seems... familiar. But I cannot place it."
Grigori looks around the room for any other clues.
Per GM request:
Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Search the room:
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Valandil Anwamanë |
Valandil looks at the symbols, and with a touch of guidance from Grigori tells everyone of the peakcock god.
Takes ten with guidance for 20
He walks over to the feather with the 'eye' and examines it carefully.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 11
"Well, this at least solves one mystery for us - how to get out. It looks like we won't need to use all the charges after all."
Valandil Anwamanë |
Val is happy to take the time to fully examine the statue if he doens't learn anything from a quick glance.
Takes twenty :-)
Valandil Anwamanë |
Val inspects the feather with his magical vision.
And takes ten on spellcraft or other check as necessary, gives a 22 with guidance for spellcraft
Grigori Yefimovich |
Grigori is amused by Valandil's apparently morbid sense of humor. "Indeed, comrade Valandil. I suppose that is one way to go. Though, as much as I adore my Goddess, I do not wish to travel to the Bonesland just yet."
The priest begins to examine the double doors beyond the statue.
Examine the double doors
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
GM Crash |
Valandil identifies the feather as feather token (bird). Grigori realizes that these doors go back into the first room they were in, the room with graffiti on the wall. These doors can only be opened with the chime.
Valandil Anwamanë |
"This feather is magical.. notes Valandil.
"It will summon a bird to deliver a message."
He looks around. "Does anyone know anything else about the god, or the riddle?"
