"Why? asks the elf.
"They are dead, leave the bodies to the birds and beasts. Let the circle of life continue uninterrupted."
He looks at the figures.
"It is as if someone was trying to make art of out them."
He shakes his head. "They failed."

Turning back to the door, the party sees another rune above the door.
Looking outside the door you see the statue in front of this crypt. It looks like a voluptuous, nude woman wielding a two-headed guisarme.
Runelord of Lust.

"A bit perverted fof my sake. But I can imagine someones motivation behind the arrangements. " Garox says.

"Well, at least it is topical. I didn't realise the runelords were worshipped as gods though."
He peers in.
"Shall we explore further?"

"Lets..." PItbull agrees, sword in hand - "Dont reckon we found what we was down here lookin' for yet"

GM Crash |

The next statue looks like a beautiful woman with wild hair, holding a ranseur.
Opening the door, you see what looks like more of the same type of crypt, but with one difference. In the middle of the crypt stands a tall skeleton wearing armor engraved with runes holding a ranseur. There is a cold blue light that glows in his empty eye sockets. He points at Garox and motions him to bring it on.

He casts his eyes around - "Ready for a rest yet? We seem to have been in here for hours."
And if we use that wand now, we won't have it when we really need it.

![]() |

Yeah lets rest up and heal

![]() |

"Do we rest here, or back in the more.. ahh salubrious library. It is a very minutes walk away, but I think I for one would rest better there than here."

![]() |

I'm still ok for continuing our exploration.
But, I suggest - if we decide to stop here - to be more prepared against the undead foe we meet with regularity here and the fact we are dealing with language we don't understand.
I've no idea where we can rest more safely. I'm ok for the library.

![]() |

Valandil turns around and leads the way back towards the library for a rest.

GM Crash |

The party heads back to the library and rests for the night.
Everyone who does not have full hp, gains 1 hp back. Valandil can reset his spell list for the next day and Nesterok's Archeologist's Luck is back at full. That necklace you found previously can possibly be identified today...unless the rolls are bad again.

"Hah! That's my job!", Pitbull looks genuinely happy at the thought of sitting about watching for enemies.

GM Crash |

After the night passes uneventfully, Grigori and Valandil changed their spells around and Valandil identifies the necklace as an ancient Thassilonian magic item called a Sihedron Medallion.
While worn, a Sihedron medallion grants its wearer a +1
resistance bonus on all saving throws. Once per day, it
may be commanded to bestow the effects of false life on
the wearer—these effects end if the medallion is removed.
Placed on the neck of a dead body, the Sihedron medallion
preserves the body indefinitely with gentle repose.

![]() |

Valandil looks impressed with the amulet, and passes on the details of it to the group.
"Perhaps this would be best for one of our front liners?"
He turns to the 'shatter' tablet, and tries to figure out whether it can be transcribed to a more portable medium

Pitbull sniffs at it suspiciously. "Garox can wear it, as long as he doesn't chuck it to some roaming strumpet for a nights pleasures" she barks, it seems like she's joking...

Valandil stretches "Shall we return to those crypts? With the magic I have memorised, we should be able to kill those cold mold"
