The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

The three continue to batter the wyrm, carving or searing large chunks out of it. But it's undead, so flesh is of little concern.

Spoiler:
=perception DC 20]One of the chunks falls into the small grove the Wyrm is guarding and it almost immediately dissolves into mist and ash!

Sorry folks, that was a wild week...

Last Turn:
"Rawwwrrrrrr!!" Mar roars, bellowing out an unholy and unnatural noise as the dragon's energy overtakes him. Furious, but accepting, Mar let's the energy wash over him, choosing life over death and making the negative energy heal his wounds instead of exacerbating them.
Activating 'Light & Dark' as an immediate action: for one minute negative and positive energy treat me as undead. So that breath weapon should heal some of the damage from his initial attack vs me.

Knowing he's energized by the negative energy infuriates him, but Mar channels the rage into his attack, keeping up the offensive.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Mar, as a guardian of the forest, you notice something peculiar: there are no dead trees or leaves in the glade. In fact, There is no evidence of death in the glade at all!

Unicorn | HP: 57/57 | AC 23(25 vs evil), T: 12(14), FF: 20(22) | CMD 27 (31 vs trip) | Fort +10, Ref +7, Will +7 (+2 vs Evil) | Init: + 3, Percp: +11 | Immune charm, compulsion, poison, paralysis, sleep, negative energy, STR drain | Spd: 60, Fly 120

It took Mar more time than he'd have expected before he realized the normal Doom and gloom found outside the dome wasn't present here, and the forest was beautifully normal...This must be it! he thought.

"You end here, Abomination!" he called out, reinvigorated.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Everyone but escpecially Mar, does tremendous damage to the thing. Bones break, flesh is rent, and the monster takes a step back! A small part of it's body crosses into the glade and it screams as that part dissolves like cotton held to a flame!

It summons it's magic again!
1d20 ⇒ 5
And again Mar and Ard are there to shut it down!

Party up!

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Frist drives down and back as the two before cut into the monster's back line they're felling a massive tree. It resists at first, but its strength gives out and it is inevitably pushed toward the pure glade. The moment it crosses the barrier Its skin starts to smoke and bubble. The monster screeches and roars, but it cannot stop the inevitable. Its head is driven into the purity zone and, after a moment's writhing in pain, its head explodes in a shower of filth and rot!

With the monster defeated, Abrasax comes forward and collects a few samples from the pure glade.
This should di the trick! she announces.

The trip back is uneventful, and you find it surprisingly more easy to sneak in then it was to sneak out. The Alchemists go to work immediately as soon as you get back. That takes a couple weeks but eventually a potion is made that can heal your stricken Dragon friend.

The fate of the other distraction teams is less than positive. Each and everyone besides your own was captured and slaughtered. However, this points to a high place Centaur in the administration of the sanctuary. The dots quickly fall into place and it is discovered that he has turned to the cabal. He is quickly arrested and executed.

Your each highly honored for your contribution to the recovery of one of the few remaining young dragons. And, though the future of the sanctuary is still uncertain, you have guarantee that it will survive at least a little while longer.

--------------------------

And that's where I'm going to have to end it. Thank you all for coming on this journey with me, but I cannot continue this forward anymore in light of my life and my work reducing my ability to update games that I run. You might have noticed this was the case from my reduced posting rate in this game. However, you can say that you have played a game to its natural conclusion. That is something that can rarely be said on these boards.
Thank you all for playing with me and I hope to see you out and about!
