Gobbo!

The melee heats up as Mugmuff stabs at the raging woman. The older man, standing to her side, quickly intercepts the attack, taking the stinging hit himself and sparing the woman from the wound. Gretcha, wound up and pissed off beyond belief, fires off a dazzling spray of colors into the faces of the raging woman and the old man. The waves of brilliant energy wash over the barbarian's face as she stares down the smaller goblin, a look of murder in her eyes, but they blast into the old man, stunning him and sending him reeling, his weapon and shield falling to the ground. Bart rushes forward, a dark energy in his hand as he lashes out at the armored woman, her weapon deflecting the attack just a second before it lands. Seeing the woman distracted, Torch drills her with one of his bombs, albeit a weak one that needs an upgrade. Kovak flings one of his disks at the stunned old man, bouncing the flying weapon off of his head with an accurate throw. Nurpus levels Purpus towards the rear of the building, ready to take out anyone showing their face.

I have a feeling this is going to be ugly...

The raging woman, seeing her companion out of the fight, screams at the top of her lungs as she steps forward and brings the impossibly big sword across in a sidelong swipe, all of her rage and power behind the terrible blow. With a vicious slash the woman separates Gretcha's head from her shoulders and sends it flying into Torch. The armored woman, finding the source of the evil, points her sword at Bart and calls out to her god, charging herself with divine power before slashing at the unholy goblin. The blow connects solidly with the armored goblin, dealing a serious wound. The man behind the barn creeps around the corner, only to take a shot to the face as Purpus goes off with a resounding boom, and quickly ducks back behind the cover.

And so we lose Gretcha, who gets obliterated for 29 points of big ass sword damage. I'll have to say that the saving throw luck on my side has been tough on the poor mesmerist. Bart takes 9 damage from the smiting paladin. The old man looks to be one coup de grace away from calling it a day, and is out of the fight for now.

Torch fumbles Gretcha's severed head and flees around the rear of the building, looking to stay out of the path of the raging barbarian. "Nurpus! Use purpuse! Bang-bang killy lady!"

Mugmuff and Kovak both land solid hits against the raging woman as Torch gets clear of the massive blade and its cleaving and chopping. Bart, undaunted by the paladin, uses dark forces of his own to lay a massive bite on the woman which channels the foul energy into her body, wracking her with pain. At the same moment a booming report signifies the working of Purpus, as the shot from the musket slams into the woman, spinning her like a top.

The paladin, barely managing to stay on her feet, calls out again to her deity and lays a hand upon her chest, some of her wounds mending at her touch, before stepping towards the other woman and taking another swing at the evil anti-paladin. Her blow strikes home and rocks Bart to his sneakers, as the divine-charged blade cleaves into his foul and sinister goblin flesh. The larger woman takes another powerful swipe at Kovak, but the agile goblin just manages to duck under the blade in time, avoiding another gruesome beheading. After the miss the woman takes a step back, putting herself against the paladin and giving her a nod. The two women, surrounded by goblins, ready themselves to make their final stand against the evil beasts.

Bart gets popped for 13 damage.

The gobs are up. Seelah is looking grim.

Bart reels in pain from the stupid paladin, and touches himself in a way that might make her feel just as uncomfortable.

Bart takes a step back and hops as high as he can for a downward smash on Seelah.

I'm shocked everyone is going after the paladin, its the barbarian I'd be worrying about right now! :)

The goblin forces focus their attacks on the armored woman, with Nurpus and Bart scoring deadly hits which drive the woman to her knees where she falls over, unconscious. Torch viciously mocks the goblins, oblivious to his own style of combat.

The barbarian, seeing her companion fall, charges at the nearest goblin, a wild rage in her eyes as she lashes out with her impossibly big sword. The weapon slams into Kovak with the force of an avalanche, as the woman regains her balance and prepares to finish the goblin off.

Kovak takes 17 damage.

Several of the goblins continue to press the attack as Bart takes a moment to chug down the contents of a vial at his belt. Torch misses wide with his bomb, the device shooting past the barbarian and exploding against the house, setting it on fire. Kigaar and Mugmuff both score hits against the woman, but the elusive ninja goblin leaves Kovak holding the bag as he dances away after his strike. Another shot rings out as Nurpus connects again with Purpus, wounding the woman severely as she slightly stumbles at the impact of the shot.

Gritting her teeth, her fallen friend at her feet, the raging woman levels another attack at Kovak as the sword comes slicing through the air. He manages to duck just in time as the massive blade splits the air above his head and causes his hair to shift and tumble in the breeze of the passing weapon.

Gobs are up! Folks didn't die this round!

I somehow brain farted my posting yesterday. I updated my other game and thought I had posted here with the next round, but either the boards ate the post or old age is starting to set in. I apologize.

The goblins steel themselves in the face of the mighty foe, continuing to press the attack as best as possible. Mugmuff takes a moment to down a potion, mending some of his wounds in a matter of seconds. Bart and Kovak both land heavy blows against the woman, working against her in tandem. Nurpus and Torch both connect with ranged attacks, sending the woman stumbling as she clings to life, her skin blistered and burnt and covered with countless wounds.

The woman, massive sword in hand, musters up the last remaining strength in her arms for a final defiant swing. Still engaged with the singing and crowing goblin, the barbarian lashes out with her blade, but loses her grip on the weapon as the blood covering her hands and arms makes her grasp simply too precarious. As the giant sword flies from her hands and into a wall ten feet away, the goblins pounce, raining blows down upon the woman and tearing the life from her.

End Combat. She was at 1hp and it was obvious that this was her final chance to get an attack in, which was the second natural 1 in a row for her. Amiri, beaten by bad dice!

The old man is still stunned for 1 more round, so I'm assuming someone is going to finish him off?

MUgmuff walks over and does a quick coup de grace on the old man with a soft grunt... "One less longshanks to worry about, even an old feeble one can be tricksy."

"Hee hee hee!" Torch dances about, adding to the flames that threaten to consume the building. "To defeat gobbos, longshanks try, but in the end, longshanks die!" He sings gleefully.

As the building burns, and Torch throws even more fuel upon the quickly spreading flames, a loud squeal can be heard from inside the burning building. It almost sounds like a squealy nord!

perfectly willing to discuss/negotiate final disposition of either item if there are objections of course... Mugmuff may not want to give either of them up, but I'm easier to deal with than he is, lol


Gobbo!

Boards have been craptastic today and ate both of my updates. We hates them precious, hates them.

Bart heads headlong into the burning building, his mighty noggin leading the way. Inside, not yet a burning mess, he finds a table and several chairs, a pair of bunks, and cooking utensils next to a lit fireplace, a poker sitting in the flame and glowing red hot. Lashed to one of the chairs is a rather abused looking goblin that has been gagged with a dirty sock. The bruises and cuts on his face and the burns on his skin are telltale signs that he was in the process of being tortured for information when you arrived on scene.

Bart turns to leave, hesitates for a moment an finally decides to rescue his fellow goblin.

Why doesn't this numhead just eat the sock? Bart thinks to himself as he carries the goblin out.

Torch lifts one of the amulets of natural armor +1 and eyes it greedily. "Torch takes this," he says, not expecting a reply.

Sorry, I wasn't COMPLETELY sure that it was Burnclaw that was being rescued ;)

Still tied securely to the chair, Burnclaw is carried out of the burning building by Bart in a fairly humiliating spectacle. He's able to work the sock out of his mouth by biting off and swallowing part of it.

"YOU'S STOP CARRYINGS ME! CUTS ME FREE, I WALKS ON MY OWN!!!"

Once outside the building, Burnclaw notices that the ropes tying him to the chair were loosened just enough by his rescue that he is able to start worrying at them with his claws and teeth. After a few moments, he breaks free.

"BURNCLAW KILLS ALL THE LONGSHANKS! BASTARDS WAS HURTING HIM! Oh... is longshanks all gone?"

Burnclaw looks around, noticing the goblin rejoicing happening around him. "Dids I miss it? BASTARDS!!!"

Burnclaw is a feral-looking goblin, with very sharp teeth and claws on both hands. His armor looks to be made from very dirty but well-made metal scales, and it has a magical look to it. He also has a belt on which the humans didn't feel the need to disturb... because attached to the belt by their probisci are several still-buzzing stirges, seemingly overfilled with blood.

Burnclaw absently grabs one of the stirges from the belt and starts chomping on it happily, the dark blood running down his chin. "MMM!! This one was troll! Makes me strong!!!"

Mugmuff looks Burnclaw over while he starts putting on his new armor... which miraculously seems to fit him even though it came off a longshanks...

"Nice." he says to Burnclaw when he munches on the troll-blood-filled stirge.

"Who is you? WHy you let longshanks tie yous up?"

"LET? Ha! Me fight five of them at once, and four died! Last one, that half-nudie longshank b$*ch with huge sword, she get good swing off on Burnclaw. Next thing he remember, he tied up, and those longshanks using knives and alchy fires to try make him talk. But me no talk! Don't know what would have said anyway... but me no talk, DAMMIT!!"

Burnclaw notices Amiri's body on the ground and gives a huge hoot of laughter.
"Ha! You gobs killed big stupid longshank b*%ch! You gobs okay. I goes with you, kill more longshanks, yeah?"

Nurpus looks at the new goblin, snorts, and says "You kill four longshanks? Purpus, he kill more longshanks than that without Nurpus even using him! At least FOUR FOURS!"[/b] and he pats his trusty gun.

Bart does his best to defile the full plate, previously worn by the paladin by taking bits and pieces and attaching them to his breastplate.

Finally he will take the now comically over-sized bastard sword from Amiri.
