    These men seem like they're trying to perform for some invisible (or imaginary) audience. They may be insane, though it's FAR more likely they are gladiators, trained in Tymon.

    You manage to put a nice-sized scratch down the outside of the door, but are mere centimetes from actually breaking through. Hardness reduced your damage to only Almost 100% HP loss. Likely, the result of cutting through with a GS will be a "The Shining, Heeeere's Johnny! effect (and arm-sized access to inside.)

    @Des:
    A regular Strength check (which the Crowbar counts as a Masterwork Tool for, meaning +2 to the check) would more likely mean a "I rip it off its hinges, no door anymore", which is within the realm of possibility for your level of might. The attacks are more of a "Chopping my way through making a space I could squeeze through here or put my arm through and unlock it" kind of deal, though you're likely to wrap damage around on it that I'd give you a space you (or any medium-sized humanoid) could squeeze through, as per squeezing terrain. Whichever result, if you wrap damage around, I'll allow (options being "still good cover and line-of-sight", or "no more door anymore"

    The preparations, you could guess, are more likely the fact many of them were sleeping and (despite the fact that you CAN), not everyone is going to want to sleep in their light armor. It's not like you hear a ton of syncronized drinking of potions or casting of spells or anything...

    Cool, I haven't done the door smashing/breaking before, so I'm not the clearest on the mechanics of it all. But that all makes sense. Des will likely just smash the door again and force his way in, squeezing through as needed.

    Also, I can't help but think of this whenever I read the Captain's outrageous French accent.

    I can’t see the map right now, but I think J4 describes this pretty well, GM Burglar.

    Once she gets in position she will place a light, friendly hand on Varg’s shoulder imparting a Bit of her goddess’ Luck to him.

    I wonder if the Besmaran knows what it feels like to be hit by a Mack tr…avelling fast!

    She will then look pointedly at Sahrek, then the enemy leader, lift her buckler arm to her face and cower away from the Besmaran, shaking a little and whimpering.

    GM Burglar:
    The way I read the BoL ability, Cleaver would also get the BoL applied to any saving throws as well, GM?

    Bit of Luck (Sp): You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

    @GM - it scares me to play in a party with a high DPR fighter with a will save THAT low. Been in more than one game where we barely escaped a TPK when our low-will fighter was easily charmed/dominated.

    For the benefit of those rushing through, here's some descriptions of the rooms.

    Common Room:
    The walls of this room barely keep out the elements yet somehow retain the smell of musk and sweat. A fireplace along the northern wall keeps some of the damp chill at bay, though vines riddle the mantel stones in a years-long endeavor to pry apart the structure. A table occupies the center of the room, its surface in need of a good cleaning and polish.

    Hallways & Besmara Shrine:
    This stretch of hall is bare except for remains of moldering carpet along the baseboards. The door to the shrine has been removed from its hinges and currently leans against a wall.

    By removing the door to this small room and widening the opening, someone has created a crude arch that frames a small shrine. Cobalt light spills from a dark blue glass lantern that hangs above a crude altar improvised from domestic furnishings. Candles on the altar flank a pewter mug and a bottle of rum, and behind the altar stands the wooden female figurehead of a ship. A black tricorn perched on her head at an angle partially shields her face from the lantern’s light.

    Leader's Retreat:
    Wall hangings, paintings, and rugs futilely endeavor to cover up this room’s mildewed surfaces, making it resemble a plague victim slathered with makeup for a funeral. A large bed in good condition sits in the room’s northwest corner, and a writing desk, chair, and small bookcase of damp wood round out the furnishings. The room is heavy with the smell of incense, which masks the omnipresent dank odor.

So, you still have your move from where you were at in case you do or do not want to enter this fray. Though, yes, you are visible.

    I had to laugh when I was checking Omrax's sheet today for his next purchase. I totally forgot he uses a +1 quickdraw shield since I never knew if lay hands was legal with a heavy shield. So he spent an extra round (or half round strapping on a heavy shield he does not even have). Doh!

    Súrë sends Ilivan back outside to fly above the building and make sure no one escapes. Súrë takes a step back to G6 to guard the door and then readies an attack against any enemy who tries to push past him.
