Making a double move north on the walkway - moving at 1/2 speed due to stealth. This should place me in square S3. You can move me, when you want. I know you may want to hold actions. I'll be a little busy later this afternoon, so I wanted to get this post in now.
Stealth + Invisibility: 1d20 + 10 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 20 = 44

GM Burglar |

I know right now is when Asuna is supposed to be getting home from work, pending OVERTIME. She's next to chime in, though, unless you want to get some more lying out on Baz' side of the game.
You make it to the double doors. They are closed with no visible lock. Nobody seems to notice you yet.

I have actions from everyone for this "time unit block", so sayeth the Master of Game. All interested parties may post.
Through his droning, you can hear a chair scrape backwards and a set of heavy boots carrying a lot of metal stand up (the telltale signs of someone in lots of armor or carrying pots and pans standing up from a desk.)

![]() |

Baz glances back at the party, thinking perhaps the time to act has come. Hey there sailor, you mind helping unload some of this stuff? It's a might heavy. Baz turns to head back to the boat, then stops short, turning toward Asuna's direction. Go ahead, I'll be right behind ya, I forgot the boss lady told me to hold sumpin' for her until we got here. Wouldn't do to be failing in my duties already, you know whatta mean?
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29

What should I do first next time I play? Dirk! No, no. Papyrus! Yes! Well, maybe Rock first, then Dirk. Yeah!

![]() |

I am a little confused on the plan at this point.
Hey, that's Súrë's shtick!
Honestly, I don't know what Súrë is supposed to be doing right now either. Luckily that fits his character. I assume Ilivan is flying somewhere above in case we need to call down his assistance.

Stealth + Invisibility: 1d20 + 10 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 20 = 47
(I know this is something that seems to rarely play a factor, but which way do the doors swing? Most doors in residences of course swing into the room or home. However, in many commercial buildings, they swing outwards. I don't know if it makes a difference here or not, just curious.)
As he takes a careful step into the room, he studies it.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 +2 if this is considered Urban terrain, which I doubt.
I spy with my little eye...

Wow! This is great, Burglar. Tense, just like it would be. The lack of a personal spoiler for me is NOT an issue at all. It just increases the tension.
I can’t see the map, and don’t know where the bell is.
Baz, no worries with the wrong spell. I suspect, this would happen in para-military/espionage operations all the time! lol
Luisila looks pointedly at the alarm bell. I think we need to shepherd our sentry away from the bell.
Luisila *smacks* her forehead. “Arrh, the prisoner I be forgetting all about him. He be a genuine paladin, the boss said to unload him with the other cargo. Let’s take him and put him just inside the house for when the bosses call for him to be interrogated.”
To the sentry, “Matey, can you give Twig and Mack a hand to shift the prisoner in his crate. He be big, heavy and potentially dangerous, so he’s not coming out of the crate.”
I’m envisaging a fully armed and armored Omrax inside a crate. Omrax if you want some other set-up, go for it and we’ll work something out/play along.
Luisila continues to study her treasure map. Des, will surely see what we’re up to and act as he sees fit.

![]() |

I had Omrax armored, but with or without weapon is fine. We did not discuss bindings. I assumed he was laying low under or within a crate and potentially could be escorted by one or two "guards". As far as legit goes, that depends on how serious his guards take their acting. Omrax is more than happy to start with the litany of vices the sailors have shown so far and teach them the perfection of the Inheritor.

Omrax is more than happy to start with the litany of vices the sailors have shown so far and teach them the perfection of the Inheritor.
Luisila thinks of ways of keeping the sentry distracted as they head into the house.
“Matey, have you evar come across a paladin afore? They be great fun to be around. Ahrr!”
She bangs on the site of the crate. “Hey, pally boy. Grog be just a way to relax after a long cruise. Mellows yar out and helps yar be more sociable. And being sociable’s good. T’ain’t that right?”

![]() |

Omrax stands up with the banging on the crate. His legs sore from waiting so long in the cramp space. He looks at Varg and Luisila.
"So is this the camp of your pirate friends? I am sure they could use some lessons on virtues and righteousness. "
Assuming Omrax is in his armor but has no weapons on him at this point.

GM Burglar |

This counts, Favored Terrain-wise, as Urban and Swamp, so sayeth the Master of Game.
Everyone outside goes to unbox the Paladin and otherwise keep the sentry interested! Meanwhile...

@Omrax: Picking up both (if you came packaged with ACTION-PACKED accessories) would be a move each. Note that you have to strap the shield to your arm, as well (which is a move action for a later round.)
I'll have Asuna move herself, since the requested doors are, like, 15 feet away and square placement may or may not be super relevant in a few moments. Pending we progress in init faster than I expect, of course.
Also, if you're moving yourself, say so, since I still try to have stuff happen in order of inits.

Desmond notices the sailor man to the south becomes a bit agitated. Not sure what is happening, he decides to keep sneaking and heads around the corner, though moving a little more quickly than before.
Stealth, moving at more than 1/2 but less than full: 1d20 + 10 + 20 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 20 - 5 = 34

I think I'm reading the map correctly, and am not moving myself.

GM Burglar |

A refresher for the map: Each "opening" in a wall is doorway. All doors, other than the two doors Asuna moved through (the doors in the room Baz is in now) are open. The Captain's Room's door is also open, but only Asuna really knows that for sure. The colours are for reference of "what room is what." If your confusion is about the table, it's because the table and its chairs are mostly in those squares and thus only affect those squares.

On his turn, Súrë will call BIG BIRD Ilivan down and cast a spell on him before pulling out his shield.
Bull's Strength

My Disguise Self spell lasts 60 minutes, so I’m thinking it is still active.
Luisila will basically follow Cleaver. 60’ double move to F7. Backpack stowed in the boat for this trip, GM.
As she passes the flat footed? sailor, she’ll *wink* at him.
“Sounds like a party! We like to party!”
She points at Súrë. “His name is Twig. He’s got a pet Parrot. Its name is Polly. Arrh!”
I have moved Baz and myself on the map.

GM Burglar |

@Luis & general public: Yeah, any spell that's not less than, probably, level/minutes is still good if they were precast. But, yeah, just note where they were if people move people, for my reference (just in case.) With Excels, I can move people around as needed; it was just Google Drive I can't hit from work.
@Des: Ha, so did I! I got what you meant, since I'm still hella unfamiliar with tricks myself.

Given the his friend's condition, S1 moves up to ring the bell loudly! S2, meanwhile, move around and shouts "Rragh! Thanks! That'd be killing me if you didn't do that first!" He double moves around the building on his regular patrol path!

---
Cleaver, Asuna, Omrax, and Desmond are up!

![]() |

Desmond hears the bell ring. Oh well, so much for sneaking around...
With the clamor coming from behind the door, Desmond figures that he doesn't have much time to act. He quickly draws his greatsword and wiggles the handle of the door, not really trying to open it. (Trying to draw them out)
He then takes a step to the side and readies an attack for the first rube that steps outside.
Damage: 2d6 + 6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 + 6 = 21 (+4 if Human)
So, free action to draw greatsword, move action to jiggle the door handle, free action to take a 5' step, standard to ready an action. Is this kosher?

![]() |

Also, I moved Des on the map.

![]() |

I think that's Sahrek.

GM Burglar |

@Varg: Sahrek, the Wolf, set to Guard Luisila from combat( which there is only the one going on.
@all: I just noticed that I mussed up the refresher; it says the doors that Asuna went through were closed, when I meant to say they were NOT closed. We can rewind some, if anyone wants, letting rolls sit if they're the same action or just play with the error for this combat (assuming it were true.) It largely only affects Asuna, but I wanted to pose the question in general and apologize. Only Asuna's (and maybe Baz') actions are largely affected, but still, principle of the thing.
