Posting my actions before bed, modify as needed if purple manages to hit me.
Kamishah stands over the fallen Ylania and swings his axe at the unquiet dead.

Ylania slips closer to death.
The purple undead decides to feast on Kamish rather than on the fallen Meux at its feet. It turns out to be a poor choice.
attack Kamish: 1d20 ⇒ 10
The red ghost meanwhile floats up to Sek, but without luck.
attack Sek: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Kamish's return stroke seems pretty effective at disrupting the creature, which dissipates.
The green figure continues its attack on Edwin, who manages to deflect the attack.. just.
attack Edwin: 1d20 ⇒ 13

Kioshi directs a stream of acid onto the red creature, burning it badly, while Tlania slips closer to death..
Sek draws a wand and stabs at the red dead with it. It yelps in surprise from the positive energy and appears almost done in. Even more so as a Twinhorn spear finishes it off.
Edwin, fighting the green dead, finds its body strangely resistant to his thrusting sword. He scores a light wound, but thinks it should have been more telling than it was.
DR effective against the weapon
What it was not effective against was a pair of well aimed arrows that finish it off.
Twinhorn allies for the rescue!
Kamishah quickly calls on divine aid to stop Ylania dying.

I'm guessing you want to heal up a bit

Sek will start by healing everyone a wake with his wand. Everyone can roll their own healing.
Does anyone else have healing resources?
If not roll until you are full and tell me the charges.

GM Bret |

Does anyone else have healing resources?
The group has three potions which have not been used yet.
You have several characters at second level, so I would expect them to have wands that provide some sort of healing.

![]() |

Kioshi is quite happy that he was able to get out of this unharmed.
"Who is carrying the three potions we found? We have to give them to the fallen heroes!"

GM Bret |

Since she is not conscious she can't talk, lol
If you have a wand of CLWs, just roll it. Sek has already said he will use it on you. I am perfectly fine with the character’s using other character’s resources provided the player has no objections.
If you carefully read his post, he has been even more generous than that. If you don’t have your own healing resources he has offered his own.
Please do not delay the game any further because you were knocked unconscious.

The thick hide walls of this large tent muffle the sounds of battle outside. Iron spikes pin down an enormous map in the center of the tent. Wooden carvings of warriors and monsters lie strewn about the map, marking the location of fighting warriors and the encroaching undead.
The three leaders of the Twinhorns are gathered around the map discussing the situation. Medda is trying to convince the other two that they should continue fighting.
This uses a simplified version of the influence subsystem.
You can use Sense Motive to get an idea of what skills are most effective influencing a particular NPC. Each NPC has one other skill that can be used to discover what skills are most useful for influencing the NPCs.
Medda Spiritbearer is the leader who is the guardian of Ivorra’s hilt and went to retrieve the relic after it was stolen. You met her in the museum and have been traveling with her.
Kragr Bloodhand is a middle-aged warrior. This massive Kellid stands a head taller than most humans and wears a dire polar bear cloak from a bear he personally wrestled, pinned, and strangled during a year he spent traveling the Crown of the World. The many scars on his body suggest a life of physical conflict and perseverance. You hear him loudly proclaim that the tribe would be better off it it abandoned this ritual. There are better places to hunt!
Jala the Patient is a venerable warrior. Jala's age may have wrinkled her skin and clouded her vision, but she still wears her leather armor and longbow proudly. Regular exercise has kept her body strong, despite her old age. She chooses her words carefully and is very direct and to the point.

Edwin goes to Medda. "Medda they must continue to fight on our side in the name of gods. What we need to do to convince them?"

Kioshi steps to Medda after talking to Edwin about his discussion and his hunch with regards to Medda

Wow. Just wow

![]() |

So with that roll do I get to know what skill I get to use to try to influence people since I wasn't included in your last, non condescending post?

GM Bret |

@Ylania, I feel you cut the important part of my statements with regards to the use of the healing. To put it in context, you were out of battle and another PC capable of operating the wand had already volunteered to operate wands. Under those circumstances I really would prefer people just roll the healing since it cuts down on the back and forth communication otherwise needed.
As for the current encounter, please specify which NPC you wanted the Sense Motive roll to apply to. Yes, everyone gets three actions in this influence encounter. The Sense Motive check is one action, but helps the group know what skills work best.
I am sorry if you feel my attitude was condescending. I will try to be more respectful in the future but would very much appreciate it if you could do the same.

Sek address Java, "wise warrior with your experience and my keen eyes we can surely devise tactics that will bring swift victory. I see breaks in the enemies lines and fear on their face. Their resolve will break if we cause the right group to fall."
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29

“We have no problems seeing the enemy. Come up with a good plan for my people battling them and that may sway my stance.”

"So let us talk about how lucky we can get in this dire situation!"

GM Bret |

With Kioshi's encouragement, Medda becomes even more fervent in her stance. The other two seem to be reconsidering their positions.

Sek more accustomed to being a solo hunter is just going to study the leaders and see if he can devise any insights.

You can use Sense Motive to get an idea of what skills are most effective influencing a particular NPC. Each NPC has one other skill that can be used to discover what skills are most useful for influencing the NPCs.
I believe that within the system guessing based on the description is a valid tactic to try and save attempts.

GM Bret |

Sek is correct, you can try to guess what skills are used for influence or discovery to try and save attempts.
@Sek, I will allow the use of Studied Target.
Neither Sek nor Kamishah have a good idea how best to influence Kragr. He does seem to take pride in his bravery and hunting skills, but Kamishah's attempts were not quite what he was looking for.
Sek does get a better read on Jala. He thinks that an Easy Knowledge (nature) or Profession (soldier); Average Knowledge (religion) would work. She seems to prefer facts over impassioned pleas.
@Edwin: Since you already have the information for Jala, I will have you use Knowledge: Religion to try to influence her. You have Knowledge Religion, so the total would be 24.
Using what Sek discovered, Edwin approaches Jala to speak of the spiritual reasons to continue the fight. He makes good progress, but she isn't quite ready to change her vote.
Medda: Fully won over. Makes others easier to convince. No additional successes needed.
Kragr: 0 successes. Survival skill doesn't work.
Jala: 2 successes. Easy Knowledge (nature) or Profession (soldier); Average Knowledge (religion)
Kioshi: 2 of 3 actions
Edwin: 3 of 3 actions
Kamishah: 2 of 3 actions
Sek: 3 of 3 actions

GM Bret |

Since you have the information for the other two, I'll have Ylania's Sense Motive be for Kragr. He is the only one you haven't got the information on.
Ylania watches Kragr's responses and figures out what motivates the man. She suggests using Easy Intimidate; Average Diplomacy or Bluff in order to influence him.
Medda: Fully won over. Makes others easier to convince. No additional successes needed.
Kragr: 0 successes. Survival skill doesn't work. Easy Intimidate; Average Diplomacy or Bluff
Jala: 2 successes. Easy Knowledge (nature) or Profession (soldier); Average Knowledge (religion)

Edwin: 3 of 3 actions
Kamishah: 2 of 3 actions
