I'm familiar with the spell, but Lissa isn't and I didn't want to meta it. As such the important information that she needs how it's casts (namely on an object) and the fact that by covering the object with something that can block light, you can block the darkness effect. Heck, if any other character has ideas from further info about the spell, I'd love for them to hop on them as well.

Honestly? at the moment, I'm grasping at straws, trying to find some way to recover from this situation. Like using a blanket to cover the section of the floor, in hopes that it'll block out the darkness. I don't want to run, but that's rapidly looking like the only option. Seriously, This darkness is practically "Do you have a dwarf/half-orc? Pass/Fail dungeon."

the blue radius is Volar's Obscuring Mist, I think it's close to fading away. We are out of rounds, right?
Lissa listens to Clara's quick rundown of the nature of darkness magic, as she pulls a healing wand out her bag, in hopes that the others can use it.

@Lissa: Yeah, this is one of those early season scenarios where the tactics are explicitly: "Spend the first round casting Darkness." Also, you are out of rounds, but I am still keeping a general track of time for the spell durations.
@Xarkyn: Obscuring Mist from Volar as Lissa stated.
Xarkyn creeps around the corner and stares at the Darkness unable to penetrate it with her eyes, but she hears scraping in the room, possibly the sound of metal scraping on rock, but it is very light and methodical.
Are you lot going to try and wait out the Darkness?

The group awaits for the Darkness to fade and it does so after a few minutes. The scraping and movement inside the area behind the yellow filaments remains out of sight due to the curtains, but the hallway in front of it clears of Darkness.
The mite and Torvic cannot be seen from where you believe their last locations to be and your current vantage point leaves much to be desired if you are looking to find the others.
Warning: You lot are knowingly going back into this situation, so I won't hold any punches if you decide to keep going.

Uhh.... s%*#.....adding the mite to this mess, there's no way that's not a TPK.
The mite is gone.....likely gathered by that blue thing.....Which means it'll be up most likely. Lissa goes pale at that thought. Gods damn this place.
"I don't think we can deal with that mess, guys." Lissa quietly says. "The mite alone was a challenge... add it to the others and we won't survive. I don't want to leave Boris and the others behind, but jumping in there will kill us. I vote we pull out."

"No, we bait the midget away with one person, and while he's out of the room, we save the others. Once we have them up, we collectively get the hell out of here, and call for backup. We're really not equipped for dealing with the midget." Lissa repeats.

Lissa points up the lost hallway. "That-a-way. The rest of us will hide in the forge until you get him past here, then we'll run for the others. Any other questions, before we begin?"
And as Xarkyn said she'd cover this use...

Before she reaches the yellow filaments, Xarkyn accidentally kicks a pebble and the thing skids and richochets off the floor, flinging itself under the hanging 'curtain'. The sound from the rock has likely given away her ploy, but perhaps she will risk it anyway.
There doesn't seem to be any reaction from inside the room however as Xarkyn freezes mid-sneak.

Metal and wood clatters to the ground near the engulfed Xarkyn as she slowly moves through the darkness, trying to retreat towards the entrance.
1d20 ⇒ 5
The creature appears to move quietly through the lightless room and Lissa listens intently, but can't seem to hear anything, but luckily G'Boar is paying more attention as he believes that he hears the derro following Xarkyn.
In the darkness, this is confirmed as another loud twang can be heard echoing through the complex.
