Through the mist, Clara and Volar try to stay hidden as they can't see any change in the darkness' position, but it is another story for Xarkyn and G'Boar as the darkness follows the man and engulfs the pair in the darkness once more, though no crossbow bolt greets him.
In the darkness, you hear a cry in Dwarven.
Torvic bellows and you can hear the dwarf man move loudly and take a swing with his battleaxe, but you hear it clang off the stone floor.
Perception check to find the derro in the darkness will be easier now.

If this works, and my calculations are correct, G'boar should have an open shot to the freaky little thing.

The group moves about as Lissa runs into the Darkness with her new torch, but it seems the forge does not impart any magical nature to items lit ablaze.
Clara and Volar blindly stumble about in the black void as Lissa becomes enveloped by it. Xarkyn retreats to the magical forges in hopes that everyone will join her under the protection of the flames.

@Xarkyn- I actually just tried the lesser version of that. the problem is that we need magical light that's more potent then the darkness effect that the freaky little thing is outputting, and lighting something from the forge doesn't cut it. We need to get it near the forge and the hopefully that'll counter the bloody darkness.
"Damnit!" Lissa curses as the makeshift torch fails to work as she hoped. "We need to pull it farther back still!" And with that Lissa slides back into the forge room and heads toward the lighted center section of the room.

Volar's body quickly clots and prevents further blood loss as Dariusz continues to bleed out, staining the floor a deep crimson, though light would be needed to see that.
Lissa yells to the party to retreat as Clara follows that order, but she finds something lashing out at her as she stumbles through the darkness.

Clara, still enveloped by the Darkness, hears a twang as a quarrel flies, unbeknownst to her, through the air at her chest.
Crossbow @ Clara-10 FFAC w/ Penalties: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Fortitude Save against Poison
The quarrel flies off center and pierce her shoulder instead, only slightly wounding her as the shot was clean and the bolt went through her instead of lodging and causing issues.
Torvic, unhindered by the Darkness continues to wildly bellow and swing his hammer, but is still just more of a pain in the ass, rather than an actual threat.
The darkness doesn't seem to encroach into the room, but you can't tell if the Derro has tried to do so, so the theory about the forges is still untested.

Keep calm, Lissa, keep calm....we can do this..... please, Mother Moon, let us do this! Lissa takes a deep breath and bellows toward the hallway. "Torvic! Get in here!" And with that, the sounds of surf crashing against a cliff side echo around Lissa as motes of water gather around Lissa before collasping to her hand(Gather power, move action). With some effort, she watches and waits.....

The derro moves forward but finds that the darkness does not move into the room with him, he quickly retreats back into the darkness which doesn't seem to extend beyond the doorway.
As soon as he shows himself, Lissa launches a volley of coalesced water at the creature, but it ends up splattering against the wall of the pit near the derro.
From the darkness, a quarrel flies through the air, unexpectedly.

Okay, if he fired from the doorway, he doesn't get sneak attack damage. That's more then 30 feet away. So, assuming the 6 damage, that means I should be at 5/11 with 1 non-lethal

Lissa gasps in pain as the bolt strikes. "I tried mine, G'boar. The darkness was too potent for that," she replies, using the question as something to focus on that isn't the pain from the shot. "The forge is more powerful then the darkness, though. We NEED to get the bastard in this room!" And with that, She slips back a little past Clara, then summons a mass of water with another surf crash, and hurls it toward the door, using the noise that Torvic is making and the fact the gods-forsaken bastard stepped into the room then back out to guess where to aim.

There is no 'retreating blackness'. You just heard the derro move back further into the darkness. He likely left whatever was enchanted with the Darkness at that entrance before retreating back towards his lab.
Unless you plan on boldly striding into the darkness, combat is essentially over and the unconscious/bleeding out group could potentially perish. There is at least two more minutes of existing darkness.

If the conscious characters carry on this fight they risk their lives and a full on TPK. I just want to say that whatever choice you guys make is fine by me. I know my character can't decide anything but as a player i wanted to at least let you know that whatever the outcome we can certainly say we tried our best.

I agree. It seems like you could wait out the darkness, so don't go and get yourselves killed. Also, I don't know if this has any bearing on PbP but I have the feeling we would be well over the 4 hour limit these scenarios usually have.

I stated before Xarkyn would go and see if the tunnel to the right offered more visibility before the GM ended the combat phases, will you allow her to move all the way forward to where she sees the darkness and then go back to the others?
