I'm not sure if it'll be Eldritch Claw or Rending Claw, but otherwise all good.
Probably go with Rending and look for an amulet of mighty fists for the Fuzzsaw.
Ok, decision made.

If anyone is up for another game, I'm in a fun, well-run Skull and Shackles that is just getting to the cool pirate part. I play Astein. We're looking for a melee type to compliment the crew. If you're interested pop into the Discussion thread as my recommendation.

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess is planning on dropping a few annoying area of effect debuffers, and then hopefully hitting them with misfortune and evil eye hexes.
Since Fortune is Su, she will drop one on Justin so that he has an escape option if he makes a critical failure.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

I'm assuming they're packing adamantine weapons, to allow them to bypass hardness of our items. ;) If not, damage is reduced by hardness.
Waraxes are officially one-handed weapons (hafted) -- per the table (Common Armor, Weapon, and Shield Hardness and Hit Points), it's 5hp if it's a wooden haft or 10 if it's metal -- and then +10 hp for the enchantment. While I've always imagined a metal haft with leather wrapping, it doesn't specify that... anywhere...
So it's either 15hp or 20. Either way, it's a good sunder with some damage that gets through, and there's a need for some make whole.
Unless he's going after the Klar, which would also be 20hp (10 for light steel shield, +10hp for the magic).

GM Blood |

It is adamantine weapons. You can determine if Kilthan would have a wood or metal haft. Looking at the chart here it appear that a one handed weapon with a metal haft would have 20hps, so a +1 would have 30hps? This stuff makes my head hurt...someone, somewhere, should just have a chart with all the weapons listed!

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Because it would mean the sunder failed if it were metal (rather that just reducing the "flowthrough" damage, and we'd never specified, I'll say it's wooden, and when Kilthan's upset about this and getting it fixed, he'll have a metal shaft installed then.
So, 20hp to the axe, sad Kilthan, 9hp hits him, and he's rather expecting he's about to have his Klar sundered.

GM Blood |

No rush here. Hoping things begin to settle down in my life....probably some wishful thinking.
Thank Kilthan for clearing that up, I was ok with either, but a good chance for a progression in your weapon after this fight.
In my home game of Age of Worms, the dwarf paladin after this fight made it his #1 purpose to never have his armor and weapon sundered again and spent all of his wealth for awhile getting both his armor and weapon made of adamantine.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Impervious enchantment is cheaper. ;)

Tilnar |

Also... I may regret doing this, but wouldn't the Pitch Blade dwarf that Jagdbach and I struck be trying to fell us? I mean, if he's distracted and just wants to stand there and get hit, I'm good with that, but just in general..

Kilthan Hammerstone |

So - mechanical question. If Rohara hands Kilthan a weapon, is it a free or swift action to accept it, such that he can full attack?

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Then no gain over pulling the battle axe off Kilthan's belt... I'm literally better off keeping with the shield bashing.

Aarakess Halcorn |

I considered turning Kilthan into a large Lion. Figured the increase in strength + size + grab ability would negate the breaking ability of the adamantine. Really should have done it in round one. Just say so, and Aarakess will switch from debuffing to polymorphing for a round.
It would seem like playing a character whose 1st, 2nd and 3rd options are usually debuffing would be really boring, but there are so many debuff options and fun ways to do it with Aarakess, that it is a lot of fun.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan's armed, so I'm not sure it's so much an issue (especially since it basically takes away the whole flurry of two-weapon-fighting) -- but, that said, depending on how the round goes (and, for that matter, how future fights might go) I believe the Dire Tiger's claws and teeth are sharper than the Dire Lion's.
[Also, I'm all good with Aara debuffing things. Evil Eye is *nasty* after level 8.]

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Justin took that already. Rohara was offering her own personal weapon.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

They took magical beasts out of Polymorph (to be fair, even though the original text said magical beast, it still went to Beast Shape II, which doesn't do magical beasts..) -- which means the best you can get in terms of a large-size flying animal would be Dire Bat or Pteranodon (the former is a better flier)

Ironically, all the games I play in have slowed to a crawl but this one.
Two have had the DM quit. My sixth level druid in the temple of elemental evil, my second highest character, is now stranded.\
Thanks once again for getting the band back together David. This game is so awesome. And thanks Skorhald for joining us. Like Neil Peart of Rush, we almost forgot you weren't on the first album. The bard with awesome fighting skills and buff skills has been an amazing addition.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

I'm a bit luckier in terms of still having a few active games -- but this is certainly the most established and generally spiffiest -- so thank you all.

Aarakess Halcorn |

I am down to 11 games, a few of which are straggling along at best. Really I am probably in 6 or 7 active games. I probably have 3 or 4 with active players who interact and get along as friends, not just posting.

Aarakess Halcorn |

I have been shanghaied into starting a local game. Have not started yet, but the plan is to get 1-2 games a month going at a local gaming store. We will see how fast I can scare the other players away.
Supposedly I am going to be an official Paizo Venture Agent. Not sure what it is, but I am guessing that if I put it on my resume it will confuse the heck out of everyone.

Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth |

So far I have been busy saving the world in XCOM 2 on my computer. And we will see how many picks the Heisman Trophy winner goes after Ezekial Elliot in the draft.
I watched the Critical Role One Shot where they did We Be Goblins about a week ago. I found it quite amusing, especially the goblin barbarian.
I first learned about the site when a friend had me watch the game the same group ran for Vin Diesel, and like the DM's style for face to face gaming. His descriptions can be quite good.
Much more interesting than the massive campaign, which I found a lot less exciting.

Skorhald Warsong |

The fact that Elliot wasn't a Heisman finalist was an open snub at the Big 10. The fact that an entirely inferior running back won the award was insult beyond injury.
He's the best RB prospect since Adrian Peterson and possibly before. He reminds me of Marshall Faulk with his size, speed, agility, hands, blocking, route running, etc. I'm hoping my Browns take him at 8.

GM Blood |

I have a late night install tonight starting at 7pm Central. This is the last of a 10 week every Thursday night project I've been doing since Feb 25th (and we finished a week early). So I will most likely miss the pick tongight for the Packers, but I will be sneaking a peek at my phone every once in awhile and if my wife is able to stay up late enough she should text me.
Of course I will be recording both ESPN and NFL Network so I can check it out late night tonight.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

The campaign I was running ended, world saved, yay, so I'm playing with many of the same folk on the other side of the screen in an Iron Gods campaign. Party's a little big and I rather feel like I'm holding their hands to come up with good plans, which can be annoying, but at the same time, I'm playing an inty-think-things-through type, so at least it fits.

GM Blood |

OK, since you guys killed the big bad guy down below a little bit ahead of schedule, I have decided to "fast forward" to the end of this chapter and start the new one. I'll still give you the credit for defeating the monster fight and then the championship fight. With Raknian out of the picture due to his legal concerns, he is no longer running the games and stacking the deck against you so the fights shouldn't be an issue.
Here is the treasure from the remaining fights so you can work out shares before I start the next chapter. Remember you cannot keep the items of your opponents in the fights, they get returned.
From Winning the monster fight: A gold trophy depicting a human gladiator (worth 1,000 gp) and a cash payout of 10,000gp.
From Winning the Championship: Champion's Belt worth 2,000 gp (and the right to wear it for a year) as well as a cash payout of 20,000gp.
Where you fought the demon below there is the curtain of spidersilk worth 250gp and two emeralds for eyes in the mosaic each worth 1,000 gp.
The creepy chest was trapped, but since you were cautious and didn't open it right away, you were able to disable it and inside was: Bag of 300gp, four deep green spinels worth 100gp each, three aquamarines worth 500gp each, potion of cure moderate wounds, scroll of death ward, two scrolls of ethereal jaunt, three doses of dust of tracelesness, seven blocks of incense worth 200gp each, two blocks of incense of meditation, a wand of restoration with 36 charges, a sustaining spoon.
Lastly there are three vials containing a little kyuss worm in suspension inside oil of repose. They are currently in stasis.
There is also the Apostolic Scrolls used to summon the Ulgurstasta written in Abyssal which none of you can read (I believe) but you can take back to Eligos to read for you. (I'll add that to the wrap up coming up)
Let me know if I have missed any of the other treasure or you need me to go back and repost the treasure for you.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Snazzy. That works for me.
I don't think we've missed anything in the list, though I'd still like to find and beat up the cheating dwarves and strip them of their gear. ;)

Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth |

Not to be greedy, but we were betting the maximum we could on ourselves, not using any metagaming knowledge that PCs and heros in stories have an innate advantage ;-)
I forgot the amount. nice summation, I have my needed closure.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan was raised by dwarves. He was being greedy. Especially because he wants to get a nice, new, metal shaft for his waraxe. And add impervious. (Or maybe just find a nice magical adamantine one.)

Skorhald Warsong |

Agreed, nice summation. I think we should do a bit of shopping and gear up before moving on.
BTW - is that a wand of full restoration with 36 charges? Wow. Part of me is scared that they put it in there because we're gonna need it...
