Heya all. Perhaps a little heads up next time? I knew that there was a plan to restart, but no one said exactly when and I see that I am now a week behind. A little irksome, but moving onward.

Just a heads up for my current work schedule moving forward. I work 10-6 Tuesday to Friday and 7:30-6 Saturday (do not expect much that day). Weekends are Sundays and Mondays.

Does anyone have a recap on why we are down here. I have sort of forgotten what we are searching for. I know we were fighting in the tournament, but do not recall exactly why we were searching under the tournament.

During the evening, as you are recovering from your battle and talking some strategy, Ekaym pays you a visit, looking quite a bit like a cat who's found the cream. He happily presents you with your trophy and your prize money. (As well as the money you wagered) "Don't spend it all in one place, he grins." Ekaym is happy to shop for you if you need to supplement your equipment.

Then he grows serious and takes you aside to your chambers and in a low voice he admits that he has a confession to make.

“While it’s nice that you turned out to be pretty good gladiators, I must admit that I had a hidden motive for entering you in the games. You see… my sister Lahaka disappeared here last year, not long after the previous Champion’s Games.

"I’ve been looking for her for months now, but I’ve hit a dead end. She was a traveling entertainer, a bright joy that brought happiness to cities throughout the world. It seems that her travels eventually brought her here, and more to the point, she caught Loris Raknian’s eye.

"What I do know is that she vanished the day after the Champion’s Games ended. I’ve paid for divination spells to learn more, but alas have learned little. And so I decided to come to the games themselves. I hoped that by entering some gladiators in the competition, I’d have a chance to explore the area, talk with Raknian, and maybe find out what happened to Lahaka. But so far, I’ve found nothing.

"Raknian’s nearly impossible to get to, and I’ve uncovered no clues in the outlying buildings. There’s two places I’ve not been able to reach - his palace and the arena understructure. This is where you come in, my friends. The guards are heavy tonight, but if things go as normal, they become much more lax after this day. If you can slip away from the Coenoby and search the surrounding rooms for clues as to what happened to my sister, I’ll turn over my share of the winnings from the games to you. What do you say?”

Sorry, I should have gotten back sooner Tirion.

I wanted to work you into Savage Tide--I made mention I might shake up the starting lineup, but I started up again before you got your character finished. Once again, though, the barbarian hasn't posted for two days.

Anyway, I enjoy playing with you Tirion, so I was hoping you would help get GM Bloods Savage Tide going again. If there is a problem, I will work you into my Savage Tide.

By the way, better start on your random background now. It will take a while but it is quite worth it.

Yeh, my nasty spell is Suffocation. Unfortunately it does not work against creatures that do not need to breath, like undead.

Just an FYI, Aarakess would know that Rohara also has teleportation magics. Rohara has used Dimension Door several times and level 5 brought Teleport. Travel domain is a nice domain.

Sorry, been super busy the last couple days including having a sick kid. Hopefully have the update tonight.

Just to clarify. Creature is in the room through the west doors, but is trying to burst the ceiling and move up to the arena which is above you.

As ideas you can Dim Door inside the room to fight the creature (and if you stop it then this area is still a secret), dim door or telelport up to the arena and wait for the creature, or I suppose dim door/teleport back to your room and move to the arena with the other fighters if you think they would help/not hinder.

Hey all I want to apologize for not posting the last few days. I have hardly been in a mood to be on my computer let alone write/post. I got laid off from my job Monday so I am no dealing with that (the hurt, anger, panic, etc.) and attempting to find a new job as fast as I can knowing that it does not work as fast I as I would like it too.

So if I am not all with it the next few weeks, that's why. I will try to post more as I am feeling it.

Rohara will go along with the prevailing idea... teleporting out and grabbing help sounds nice... ("I wonder what is happening at the area, lets check it out...") but if folks want to go this alone, I'm in too.

I kind of go with... what would Malificent do. Then take Ice Tomb. Damage and save or be out of the combat entirely? Wow.

Then I like Retribution for cool points.

Hoarfrost is pretty damn scary, but not combat effective.


Great tactics in that last battle guys! Even though Justin made the kill, its was everyone else that got him the chance. That thing can be a difficult fight even though it may bot seem like it was.

As for hexes, I played a witch up to about 12, the first thing I grabbed was Agony because almost everything else I had was a Will save and Agony was Fort save which gave me a different option, plus nauseated is a sucky condition to have.

The other hex I took was the healing one because that translated into 8 spells in the party I was playing in (5 players, my familiar, and two animal companions) plus anyone else that tagged along.

Retribution is nice for those creatures that deal tons of damage in melee.

Didn't update my status lines because the battery on the laptop is dying -- also, need a feat for the Fuzzsaw. (Boon Companion being +4 levels means he's still at level, so that's pretty useful)

I could take Extra Rage again, I suppose, but not sure. I'll think on it.

I think I will go with Agony. Gives Aarakess a little debuff to go with her buffs. Also works with Cackle, although hitting a BBEG with misfortune and evil eye (saves) first is beneficial.

I'm looking to take mirror image, Heroic Finale, and wall of sound. I would jump on dimension door but we seem to have an abundance of that already.

@GM - Ruling on Translucent in Wall of Sound - does that provide any concealment? I'm guessing not, but want to make sure before I go throwing walls around.

Thoughts?


I wouldn't think it would grant any concealment. So we'll say it doesn't


Has everyone finished leveling yet? Any more questions or quandaries?
