One more check, as requested:

It's good to be a ranger... Sometimes.

Not in use

I managed to leave my USB stick with all my PDFs at work so won't be able to update until Monday.

So it is you and Dryn on horses and the rest on foot?

Not in use

I think Tobar would be slung up behind Dryn and riding as a second.

HP 44/70; AC 23 (FF 20, T 13); F+7, R+5, W+9

Anala will/can walk... movement of 30ft.

Female Dwarf Witch/10 - (HP: 64/92; AC 16; FF 14; Touch 16; Fort +7/+9; Ref +6/+8; Will +9/+11; Init +2; Per +13/+17

Aarakess can walk - 30'. I can always fly if something comes up.

Kilthan also moves 30 -- I keep debating taking longstrider (which I love, don't get me wrong), but we keep ending up places where Feather Step seems the better deal. ;)

Sounds good to me, Tobar. And thanks, Justin for use of the horse!

Wouldn't that be Mobile Artillery?

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

That sounds like a much needed Alchemist archetype. Somehow giving it a Cavalier's mount, though not sure what to give up for it. Hmm.......

Vitals (Kilthan):
(HP: 119[139]/119[139]; AC: 24[22](26[24])/14/22[20](24[22]); CMD: 26 [28]; Fort +11, Ref: +8, Will: +4 [+6]; Perception: +17; Rage: 8/8)

Discovery: Mount Mutagen. ;)

I think it'd be feasible -- take away the posion use, resistance and immunity and maybe swift alchemy, and I think you start approaching a mount. Maybe pull a ranger/druid and make it so that you don't get a properly (alchemically) bonded mount 'til 4th.

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

There's an episode of family guy where Stewie entered a pig into some kind of contest, one where it had fists instead of hooves. It inspired a discovery of my own.

Discovery: Modified Hands
Prerequisite: Alchemist Level 4, Alchemical Mount class feature
Benefit: With this discovery, an alchemist alters a a mounts forward hooves/paws to give it the ability to climb ladders
Normal: Normally a mount can't climb ladders

Vitals (Kilthan):
(HP: 119[139]/119[139]; AC: 24[22](26[24])/14/22[20](24[22]); CMD: 26 [28]; Fort +11, Ref: +8, Will: +4 [+6]; Perception: +17; Rage: 8/8)

You don't want it to just pull itself up with a tentacle? Could be fun, and there's already a discovery for that.

But seriously, this could be a feasible archetype -- could be worth building it for RPG SuperStar

Female Dwarf Witch/10 - (HP: 64/92; AC 16; FF 14; Touch 16; Fort +7/+9; Ref +6/+8; Will +9/+11; Init +2; Per +13/+17

You guys are making by brain hurt - or perhaps it is just mutating into a more evolved brain.

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

I always get this confused. Is it save first, then resistance, or resistance first, then save? In other words, do I take 2 damage or none?

Vitals (Kilthan):
(HP: 119[139]/119[139]; AC: 24[22](26[24])/14/22[20](24[22]); CMD: 26 [28]; Fort +11, Ref: +8, Will: +4 [+6]; Perception: +17; Rage: 8/8)
Male Half-Elven Ranger (Infiltrator): 9/Bloodrager (Spelleater): 1
Vitals (Jagdbach):
(HP: 91/91 (118/118); AC: 25(23)/13(11)/22(20); CMD: 23 (25) {27 (29) trip}; Fort +9(+11), Ref: +10, Will: +3(+5); {+4 v. enchant}; Percep: +7)

Save first, then resist. The save indicates that you get out of the way and thereby reduce the exposure. The resistance is how your body copes with that exposure.

save then resistance ( edit, Kilthan ninja'd me!)

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure first. No damage!

Vitals (Kilthan):
(HP: 119[139]/119[139]; AC: 24[22](26[24])/14/22[20](24[22]); CMD: 26 [28]; Fort +11, Ref: +8, Will: +4 [+6]; Perception: +17; Rage: 8/8)

On the plus side, I imagine as everyone (save Justin) is in light armour, we're all sleeping armoured on the road.

HP 44/70; AC 23 (FF 20, T 13); F+7, R+5, W+9

Wow... 6 ghouls, that could easily be a TPK if everyone fails their save vs the paralysis, which can happen with each attack. Nasty!

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

Hey, we've got one ace in the hole at least. Looks at Aarakess.

Sadly, not part of the eleven immunities passed on to half bloods -- at least I don't think so, anyway.

{HP 74/74 | AC18/FF14/T14/CMD21 | F+9/R+11/W+3 | Inish +4, Per +11}

Hmm, if I recall, it's not listed under the elf race anymore but under the ghoul description. But not 100% on that, and rather not look myself until after this combat is done.

Kilthan, half-elves do get the immunity (and I did not ask for a Fort save when you got hit!)

So far Tobar has joined the group and got panicked and paralyzed! Welcome to the group! ;)

Just as long as you don't get the dead status condition. I don't think we can fix that one.....yet.

According to the conditions page the Alphabetical order is Panicked, Paralyzed, then Petrified!

Ok, I'm a little confused based on Justin's posted actions (beyond the fact that I'm pretty sure we have to power attack with all or attacks and none) -- in that he seems to have 5' stepped way more than 5 feet -- unless I'm getting a cached version of the map -- and so I'm not quite sure who's up and who's where.

However, since there's only (at most) 2 of them left, Kilthan and Jagdbach will step in and attack (each attacking one, if there are still two).

I'm just posting this because I'm about to head out for my RL game (well, I have to print some stuff and get some figs ready and all that) so I can't be sure I'll be able to post again tonight and don't want to hold things up.

Jadbach's raging for a +9 bite at d6+5, Kilthan will likely Power Attack at +8 for d10+8. If possible, each of them would flank for the +2 to hit... and they're both at +4 to hit and damage, unless those ghoul-like things *aren't* undead.

I noticed the same thing. Power Attack is on or off. The map error was mine, he had a legit 5' step, even if they were dead before he could go.

Combat is over, we'll sort it out!

When your base attack bonus reaches +4, and every 4 points thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2.

You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll, and its effects last until your next turn.

Kilthan is right. And I think it applies to ALL attacks. So you can't choose to power attack with a primary weapon and not power attack with a secondary natural. As it lasts until next turn, I assume all AoOs would use the power attack setting too.

I think that Dryn is a blast. Heck, some would even call her the bomb. You have to watch her explosive personality though.

Kilthan rolls high when the chips are on the line :-)

Reminds me of when Justin went head to head with a water ghoul and almost died.

Friendly Informational Post

I'll be attending Gencon next week from the 14th to the 18th. During this time I'll pretty much be not checking the forums with any sort of regularity. I apologize in advance for this! Please feel free to bot me as necessary during that time to allow the game to continue.

Good thing the harpy's got you then. :)

Is anyone else going to be gone for Gen Con? If we get this fight wrapped up we could do a break until after my vacation (22-26th) otherwise we can soldier on at a slightly slower summer pace!

I am driving across the country for the next few days with my family. My posting rate is likely to be slow, so I have no problem if we slow down some. I should have phone access and some access in the morning and evening, so if we keep going, I will keep posting.
