Kelkzar steps into the room as the brain pulsates once again. He then turns to the party and says, "My master, Zyrxog commands me to to stop you from progressing any farther into his domain."
Remember the ground is still difficult terrain outside the room

Odd...I don't remember that as being one of Ragathiel's honorifics.
Sense Motive check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

"He's been enchanted," Rowena calls out. "Kelkzar. Fight it!"
"I will fight you if you continue. Zyrxog commands it."
Knowledge (arcana) 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28
Here's hoping this works...
Rauno moves to L6 and casts defensively Protection from Evil on Kelkzar.
Concentrate 1d20 + 8 + 7 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 7 + 4 + 2 = 24
That will make it. Do I need to make a touch attack? This should give Kelkzar a reroll with a bonus of +2.
Yes as he is hostile make a touch attack. If successful he gets a nother save at a +2. Then you need to make a Will save after that.
Touch attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
And a will save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Rauno, You resist the mental control, but take 1 WIS damage. Kelkzar, you get another chance to make a Will Save and regain control.
AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1
"Rauno, is that brain statue the focus of the spell effect?"
ETA: GM B, how big is the carving?
It is the source and about a 10'x10' marble stone carving.
Something familiar stirs in Kelkzar's mind...
Will save 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 = 18
But probably not familiar enough to break the effect...
AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1
How long has it been since we fought the octopins?
A couple minutes since you last fought.
Kelkzar, the dominate person is no suppressed for the next few minutes while the spell is in effect. Also you are immune to any further control.
Kelkzar is no longer under control and he will be ok in the room, but what will everyone else do?
"Gah!" Rauno cries out as he recoils from the mental blow. "It is the statue. I'm not sure how; maybe its a focus?"
AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

"Can anyone suppress the enchantment?!"
Someone cast Dispel Magic?
AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1
Didn't prepare it today.
"With Sarenrae's grace, there might be something I can do. Rauno, do you think it would help if that carving were damaged?"
Knowledge (arcana) Rauno: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22
Rauno thinks if it is a focus or has a link somewhere, destroying it would prevent it from doing whatever it is doing now. Rauno can step out of the room and be safe, while Kelkzar has 8 minutes or so where he would be safe from any further influence before reverting back under control.
Destroying the item would most likely destroy that control as well he believes
AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1
"Kelkzar, do you want to hammer at it for a while?"
Assuming Kelkzar is ok with destroying it...
Kelkzar uses his strength to begin breaking apart the stone brain. After 5 or 6 swings the marble brain begins to crack and finally breaks apart. Rauno casts detect magic and it no longer radiates any kind of magic.
AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:
"Not that I really care, but how much treasure did we just smash into pieces?"

Trevor sighs in relief when his mentor escapes the clutches of possession, but also breaks the evil tool that spreads its dark influence.
"The trickery is getting worse. Part of me wants to move faster, but another says we need to be more cautious..."
"Caution would seem wise. With all of the noise I just made tearing that thing apart, whoever is deeper in this complex definitely knows we're here."
At the end of a long staircase to the west, an odd chamber reveals itself. A number of tall bookcases, a desk, and a large tank full of green liquid takes up half the room. A stone door stands closed on the opposite wall of the tank. (Northeast wall). Another staircase continues to the northwest.
Rauno will scan the book cases before he approaches the tank. Can the green liquid be seen through? He'll cast detect magic on it.
The bookcases and desk are past the tank. The green liquid is very murky and you cannot see through it at all. It does not detect as magic nor anything else in the room.
AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1
Do the tank contents look similar to liquids we might have seen worms in before?
HP 45/54; Per +11, Trap +1; AC 15, Touch 14, Flat 11; Fort +5, Ref +8, Will +6
Jirin peeks up the staircase while the others are looking around the room, hoping to spot any more traps in what appears to be constricted quarters.
Perception (traps): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
As you approach cautiously closer the tank suddenly rumbles and coming out of the top of the tank is a larger version of the ugly creatures you just fought in the other room.
Note I have to make the map with co-ordinates, but didn't get a chance to last night so make do with this one until then...
Everyone will need to make a will save DC 22 or be slowed for 1d6 ⇒ 1 rounds.

Able to move with ease, thanks to the potion he took earlier, Trevor steps forward to try and get the monstrosity's attention. He utters a quick prayer as he moves: "By Iomedae's grace, may you suffer the greatest of torment!"
His axe dances in his hands as it whirls in a deadly axis. With a twist of his hips, he changes the blade's trajectory to target its extended tentacles.

Feeling his mind and body grow unresponsive as the creature emerges, Kelkzar is only able to drag himself up next to the creature.

Kelkzar, you can 5 ft and take 1 stack if you wish
Ok, wasn't sure if that was possible under the slow.
Reaching the creature, Kelkzar manages to swing his falchion around at the monster. His blow isn't the most accurate he has ever struck, but still he manages to penetrate its flesh.

GM B, can you update the map? I'd like to see where Quintus is wrt Rowena.
Map updated. Sorry haven't been around much the last couple of days. The father of my my best friend of 35 years+ passed away so been busy with that as well as normal life.
