Lessien Nenmacil |

Lessien thanks Taggin for his time, and browses his shop for a few minutes after asking where to find Banazel.
She then tries to find Banazel's shop, to let him know that she is in the area, and since there are only so many hours in a day, she will be happy to help him fill orders any time he needs someone skilled to supplement what he can produce.
When she returns to the inn, Lessien asks the rest of the party if anyone has approached the miner yet.

GM Blood |

Taggin tells you he works at the Smelting House on the east end of town. Banazel is involved int he town's smelting process that is run by Vulgan Durtch. Banazel has an office there where he sells potions. He has exclusive rights to supply it in town.
Banazel thanks you for the offer but says he has the town's needs at this time taken care of. If things change he will find you.

Kelkzar Redjaw |

"Nice to meet you Fester. I'm Kelkzar. I was headed to a temple in the Sanos Forest, but met up with a few new companions in my travels. I've heard tell that there are old mines or tombs or something outside of town. Is that what the Pathfinders are looking for?"

Trevor the Yellow |

The still vivid memory of Rowena's sensuous but pointy knee is still too fresh in Trevor's memory to risk a tumble...

Kelkzar Redjaw |

"Interesting. Well, they say the Pathfinders have ways of finding things that other do not. Never been into their silly little books myself, but they certainly have a reputation for uncovering lost treasure. Thank you for your time Fester. It was good to make your acquaintance. This town is lucky to have one such as yourself watching its borders."

Quintus of Taldor |

Quintus keeps quiet for the most part, nodding wordlessly to Kelkzar and smiling a bit in response to his comment. After breakfast he'll pay the innkeeper in advance for the next night. "We'll be b-back tonight, so I'm going to leave most of my gear in the room."

GM Blood |

You head out for the Whispering Cairn when you are ready. You follow The Vein back to the square and head up the road north like when you were going to Allustan's. This time you continue straight until you get to the Greysmere Covenant, a building housing the representatives of a nearby dwarven settlement that assists the town in mining and trade.
Turning left on to Company Road you see on top of a hill the Mayor's Complex. This walled off complex draws stark contrast to most of the run down dirty buildings in town and looks luxurious in contrast. Following the winding road around this hill you soon leave town.
Soon after you leave the town proper, you see the Dourstone Mine to your right. The entrance to the mine has a wooden stockade surrounding it and you see a couple guards walking the tops of it.
After about ten minutes you are pretty sure you are close to where the map indicated you should be. The brush and rocks in the area are pretty thick, making you all move carefully to avoid tripping or twisting an ankle. The area is difficult terrain

Kelkzar Redjaw |

"I haven't spent much time around mines, but that does seem unusual."
As we arrive where the entrance is supposed to be, Kelkzar looks around to see if he can see an entrance or anything else unusual in the area.
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Quintus of Taldor |

With an odd expression on his face, Quintus says, "Allow me." He draws his scimitar and chants a brief orison; as he finishes his spell his sword begins to glow. Casting light. His eyes are glistening in the radiance shed by the spell, and he wipes them with one sleeve.

Trevor the Yellow |

Trevor looks at Rowena: "The Poacher? Who's that?"
He'll then turn towards the darkness ahead, take a deep breath, wait, take an even deeper breath, then start forward. Oh! Goddess help me!
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 1
"Hey, that's not so much light here in front..."

GM Blood |

Natural light dimly illuminates a long hallway extending north into darkness. A faint breeze brings with it sibilant whispers that sound almost like sighing breath. It must be a trick of the wind, but the effect is almost lifelike.
The walls bear horizontal bands of deceptively simple geometric patterns at (human) waist level. In places the bands reveal startling detail, but in others the walls look as though they have been hacked apart with weapons or eroded by the rigors of time. Flakes of ancient paint, brilliant purple and a dull mustard hue, still cling to the walls in places, hinting at what must once have been a riot of color. A thin coat of dust coats the floor.
Just inside the darkened tomb, the hallway branches into shallow alcoves to the east and west. Here the walls bear the most significant damage. Dozens of clumsy etchings mar the beautiful ancient masonry like graffiti on a city wall. A clump of soiled cloth about the size of a halfling rests in the rounded terminus of the western alcove.
Outside, the wind picks up and a chorus of almost human sounds rises from the darkened hall.

You see a faint green flickering light to the north

Kelkzar Redjaw |

Kelkzar draws his falchion and raises one fist whispering, "A green light ahead. Might be flames since it appears to be flames. I think we should continue, but I'd rather check these alcoves before going to that light."

Lessien Nenmacil |

"I see no threats here in these alcoves, a light might be something that would hear us working and come ambush us. I'd say let me attempt to scout ahead towards the light with my mutagen making me stealthier, and if there's a threat, let's deal with it first before we deal with things that won't jump us."

Trevor the Yellow |

Trevor nods his approval, looking uneasily at the mound of clothes.

Lessien Nenmacil |

Oh good, I love stealth monks :)
Amazed at how Rowena slips into the shadows, Lessien takes her mutagen, and attempts to do the same.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

I tend to roll 18s or higher for all Stealth checks, until it's a crucial moment, and then it's 3 or less!
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Usually the opposite with Perception checks. My motto for Stealth characters is usually "I see nothing, but nothing sees me."

GM Blood |

Forgive me but I forgot to mention to scroll down to see where you are on the map and that the yellowy squares were for difficult terrain from debris and plant growth.
OK, so Trevor and Kelkzar move towards the halfling when Kelkzar sees movement coming at them.

Rauno Redpath |
Startled by how quickly the wolves were able to close on his new friends, Rauno nonetheless is quick to act. He sprints forward, shifting his crossbow to one hand while the other slips into his pouch. Without hesitation, a stream of colored sand trails from his pinched fingers as he closes the distance to Kelkzar. His fingers blur in intricate arcane passes and the sand blurs and spreads, finally lashing out in a brilliant flash of color, engulfing three of the wolves!
Move to S84 and cast Color Spray. Will DC 16 save. He will target squares S83, R-T82, R-T81. That should hit the wolves in R82, S82 and T82.
