"It cast a spell of invisibility on itself; it's still near where you last saw it!" she called out loudly in warning to the others.
"What's'a matter, little snake - afraid you might actually have been outclassed the whole time?" Jirin mutters under her breath. "Don't worry, I don't believe in unnecessary cruelty to animals..." she smiled wickedly.
She then cast her Web spell centered on passage floor in the area where the snake-person-thing had just vanished from sight. centered on (6,C)

End Combat
The naga's pool glow due to a phosphorescent fungus that grows at its bottom. Scattered around the bottom of the pool is 8 pp, 200 gp, and a small crystal jug that detects as magic. Rauno looks at it and knows it as an eversmoking bottle
Rauno auto makes the check
Nothing else of value is found in this area. The only exit is to the west.
Trevor the Yellow
"I'm good to go. We should press on." says Trevor as he retrieves his bow and wipes his hammer.
Jirin Tupel
"I'm unhurt," says Jirin as she settles onto the ground after the naga was destroyed, "but you should be aware I used two of my most powerful spells against that thing; if we meet another one like it I won't be able to help as much."
Quintus of Taldor
Quintus takes the CLW wand and uses it on Rowena and Rauno, curing them both completely.
CLW wand, 6 charges remaining: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
CLW wand, 5 charges remaining: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW wand, 4 charges remaining: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW wand, 3 charges remaining: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
ETA: Hey, Quintus is pretty beat-up, too. Let's redo this; first he'll channel:
Channel energy to heal: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 3) = 15
That fixes up Rauno and Rowena, and takes Quintus to 64/72. The first CLW charge will be on Quintus, bringing him to full HP. How's everyone else doing? If they're OK at this point Quintus will save the other wand charges.

The cavern opens up to a vast chamber, over forty feet in height with a shelf twenty feet above the floor off to one side. A short cage containing pent-up livestock has been constructed on the opposite side of the cave. A barred-off passageway is set into the south wall. Faint patches of glowing moss light this chamber.
Ahead of you, you see three dark skinned male elves standing ready with rapiers and steel shields. Behind them is a dark skinned female elf wearing breastplate armor and wielding a morningstar and shield. As you enter she says something to the other drow. As she speaks the drow attack.

Round 1
Prescience 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
With the memory of his last encounter with drow still quite fresh, Rauno calls on one of his most powerful spells to deal with them.
Black Tentacles, centered on I/J 16/17. I think that's the right coordinates. I am looking to have engulfed I-J20, G-L19, and working back. That should hit all four drow, but leave open F19, F20, G20, and H20 for our warriors to get adjacent to them safely.
Grapple attempt vs. drow 1d20 + 8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 4 + 1 = 17
Damage if grappled 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Edit: I'll substitute the prescience roll for the grapple roll, making the result 19 instead of 17.
Trevor the Yellow
Am I still enlarged?
Kelkzar Redjaw
Can Kelkzar (air walk) stand in G16 (5-feet above the tentacles)? If so, he will move forward to there, drawing his falchion.
EDIT: Never mind, I'm going to mess up Rauno's plan. Instead, he will...
Kelkzar moves forward to assault the first drow, slashing at it with his falchion.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm going to mess up Rauno's plan. Instead, he will...
I would say I had a plan, per se, I just wanted to give the others a chance to attack the drow while the spell was running. If Kelkzar can get to the one in the middle of the tentacles, that would certainly be useful.
Trevor the Yellow
Trevor is happy to see the drow get to him. He's been weary of these rough caverns with impossible floors. His boots still feel a little too small: "I'm surprised there is no ambush... Someone keep an eye on that ledge?"
Drawing quickly and willing the blade to freeze, he swings his axe around, but weary to make every hit count, he concentrates his efforts in one powerful precise strike. He settles his left foot and pushes forth with his right hip, sending the axe blade upward in an impossible angle.
Drow 1

Rauno Redpath
That is to say, "I wouldn't say I had a plan." And if I wanted other players to do something in particular, I would have said it in character. I was just trying to make sure the GM understood where I was trying to lay down the area of effect in case I was reading the map wrong; with the coordinates way off to the left, I wasn't 100% confident in my callouts. :)
GM Blood
I hopefully placed the Black Tentacles right, and even though the template shows it up on the ramp, it does not reach up there
Drow #1 looks in serious trouble, but still on its feet.
Quintus and Jirin up last!

The female drow casts a spell, she curses under her breath, annoyed it did not work.
