Teric walks towards the rift and motions to the ball of flame. It flies towards the second shadow though, doesn't quite get there yet. "Shall we perform the ritual now or when he can destroyed this undead?"

@Teric, simple answer is yes.. it just takes one round as long as enough skill checks have been passed.

As Alexander and Brunhilde move close to the rift, they discover a nasty effect as the rift causes negative energy to unleash itself unto them.

The fire burns through the rift and slowly emerging from it, is a skeleton warrior, in full plate, wearing tien armor, similar to what you read in the tome, in fact, it looks eerily distinct to one of the female paladins, even with holy symbols of shizuru tainted.
Adjacent on either side, are two armors, you see a faint outline of a skeleton inside them but as they emerge from the rift, the outlines slowly disappear leaving only a floating armor.

The creatures are burnt but as they emerge from the rift, they are also effected by the negative energy which subsequently increases their power slightly.

Creatures emerged at the end of round 2, so at this time it's better to attempt to defeat them than to close the rift. I missed out on updating the map but michiko is standing in center of rift with phantom armor on each side of the rift. Also remember if you at any point during your turn are next to the rift, 1d6 negative energy dmg.

Sorry for the earlier confusion, I've updated the map now!

The moving armors are what is known to be phantom armors, although undead in nature, they hold shape as if the armor itself is the undead creature (not incorperal) and have no real special abilities or powers.

Teric steps up and fans his hands out, cold flames shooting from his fingers,. The spell envelops all three of the newly arrived creatures. Nearly simultaneously, the blue ball of cold fire zips to the remaining shadow and begins to freeze it.

I'm not clear on the rules here, michiko is immune to cold, but not slow. So i'm assuming she is still slowed but takes no damage...Am I right in this?

Teric once again attempts a display of arcane prowess, firing a blast of cold air in attempt to hurt and slow the creatures down, two of them look visibly slower after the spell, but one thing is sure, is that undead warrior paladin of sorts did no flinch from the cold.

The sphere also proves it's worth as it constantly hurts in attempt to eliminate the shadow in the corner.

However with Teric's heroic feat, he steps a little too close to the rift and causes a backlash on himself.

The big hitters Brunhilde and Navoreal though are unable to land a good blow on the enemy. The dungeon's affect might be wearing them down.

Zaroslav again proves his magic to be effective as he cast fear into the mind of the undead, surprising as the dead don't think, and this one none-the-less has no head!

In the meantime, Alexander cast a spell of blessing for the party in hopes it would aid them a swifter victory against the forces of evil.

Fighting next to the rift! So brave, so dangerous! You know, as the undeads are constantly healing next to it.

Under most circumstances if immune to the damage you are also immune to anything tacked on with the damage.

I know I can draw for free, but can I sheath for free also? I'm not sure how that works. I'm thinking I can sheath them during a move.

No, you can't sheath for free (and anyway it always provoke an AoO). And yes, you can sheath during a move (not a 5ft. step).

Xavians dagger strikes right in between the joints of the phantom armor, this proves very effective as the suit collapses on the floor. The other suit alongside collapses also from the cold burns of Teric's flames. Missed out that the hp was 13 only.

The shadow continues to cause itself panic as it forces itself into a corner.

The undead Paladin uses all it's force with her katana to strike Navoreal.

The shadow attempts to resist the cold pains that Teric's sphere has cast upon him, but whatever feeble attempt, the shadow looks to be on the brink of extinction.

The undead paladin though, looks to be a very worthy foe as she is able to deflect Navoreal's attack with her sword and block both Xavian's daggers with her armor.

As this looks to be a tough fight Brunhilde's Hedgehog will start to use his bodyguard feat to boost her AC by 2. Aid another 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 so AC is now 21 for this turn. Then move and shield slam.

Brunhilde rushes forward and slams into her foe with her shield but the Battle maids determination has apparently faltered.

Just a little bit of info, She is a 7HD creature. So it'd be wise to start moving her away from the rift! Just a word of advice, don't want anyone dying in a tier 3-4 game!

The undead paladin seeing that she is fully surrounded decides to not use her weapon this wround, but instead releases a devastating blast from within herself. A cold wind engulfs you.

Teric steps farther from the rift, coaxing the flaming sphere to fly towards the undead warrior again. He points at the warrior and a trio of missile fly from his hand striking her.

Most of the pathfinders fail to avoid the cold, causing a small deal of pain to them. However, the cold seems to be the little bit of push the pathfinders needed to reorganize their attack against the undead.

Xavian's dagger pinpoints an accurate spot in her armor and hurts her while Teric fires a magic missile which also causes some pain. Right then, Brunhilde is able to push the paladin slightly away from the rift while dealing a good amount of damage to her. But even after all the attacks, the paladin looks barely hurt.

If Navoreal doesn't provide opportunity for flank, i'll execute Zaroslav's attack as is

Navoreal is not adjacent to the rift, shouldn't take neg damage.. That would leave him at 1 hp I beleive.. Not something I'm looking forward to but I think thats right..

With the damage total he has me at yes, I think it should be 3 less though as he is not adjacanet to the rift and shouldn't have taken th 3 neg damage.. Unfortunately this leaves him dying to another hit.. Thing hits like a truck, especailly for level 3-4 guys..

Ah you're right, Navoreal is not adjacent hence not down, should be up with 1hp. Yeah, I had do a double take on the creatures to make sure but all the boss monsters are surprisingly very difficult, the Dragon one is a lot harder with multiple natural attacks. You guys do have that elemental gem though which sometimes a very strong creature...

The Undead proves again to be a master of the mind as she does not fall prey to Zaroslav's spell.

A large elemental earth creature rises from the ground next to the undead. The elementals first attempt to attack the creature, learning from it's mistakes though, it manages to pick up the undead and cause a huge amount of hurt. The paladin maintains a stand, but you can tell she is close to her end.
