Seeing a more formidable skeleton approachng, Kai raises his longspear and strikes at it.

Patros swing his blade at the skeleton, then readies his defenses for a retaliatory strike.

Eraith motions to both Patros and Laiasha "Get back! Let this cursed thing come to us instead!" He turns to the others "I don't suppose anyone has any holy water?"

Readied action to attack the undead should it come within striking distance
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
wakizashi: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Lin Kai's spear thrust goes just barely pass the strong skeleton as he dodges with ease. The strike from Patros stabs the enemy right in between the ribs, however it does not hurt it as it struck none of the actual skeleton, only the air in between the ribs!

Perhaps if someone aided Patros *hint hint*

Laiashi watches Patros's long blade go right through the creature. If he can't hurt the thing... Can I? She moves back, seeing the skeletons begin responding to Charna's commands and waiting for the big skeleton to emerge.

"No holy water... I have a healing wand, that hurts skeletons, right? But I can't use it..."

Charna moves around behind the big skeleton, flanking with patros.

Then she instructs her two skeletons to attack the other again.

Charna, It'll be hard to move around the big skeleton without getting a big chance of a hit. this is the last part so you can keep trying to control that badder skeleton! Also Lin Kai pointed out cover rules to me, so Patros would not have been hit. But the aid another would also be useless at this point. Laiashi, are you delaying? Or waiting for Charna to move first, the skeletons won't emerge until their turn though.

Was going to wait until the big baddie comes out, but I guess I can't move back in this turn anyway.

Well if that won't work on these things anyway... She drops her poisoned blade and pulls her last clean dagger from her bodice. (Standard action.) Looks like I'm going to need to retrieve the other one when this is over.

Ok I will attempt to Command Undead again then. DC 14 Will save

The strong skeleton continues to resist the oracles words. The weaker skeletons continue to lash their blades, but nothing good comes out of it as the instead hit each others swords. Must be the lack of brain.
weak skeleton scimitar: 2d20 ⇒ (15, 8) = 23
The formidable opponent steps out from the crypt and continues slashing away at Patros. And without the walls blocking his path, he strikes at Patros dealing him significant amount of hurt.
scimitar: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
dmg: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

As a readied action, Eraith gets an attack agaisnt the skeleton as it comes out right? Which would put me near the bottom of the initiative count and is separate from round 4 actions.

Eraith, upon seeing the skeleton emerge from the crypt, strikes at the skeleton with his blade.

Patros cuts at the creature with his blade, desperately trying to bring it down.

Kai drops his longspear and whips out his morningstar, figuring its blunt head would be more effective against the bony structure of the skeleton. With two hands wielding it, he takes a mighty swing at it, connecting across its collar bone.

morningstar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 dmg: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

crit?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Nope

Charna is frustrated that the big skeleton continues to resist her. She rolls up her sleeves, grimaces, and tries again.

Let's give it another shot. DC 14 Will save.

Eraith and Patros strike at the beast distracting it but not making any successful hits, meanwhile, Lin Kai's move to switch weapons pays off as the collar bone shatters making the rest of the skeleton to crumble.
End Combat

The two other skeletons wait in response to Charna's orders, the pathfinders scratch their hands as to figure out what to do with the remaining brainless bones. Aaqir on the other hand, waits patiently for the pathfinder's report back at the mansion.

What shall you do? Please also decide what to do with the skeletons!

Lai sheaths one dagger down her dress and reloads the other back into her wrist sheath. "Well done. Charna, are these two still following orders? Can they just hack each other apart and be done with it? Wouldn't want them to turn on us later."

Charna is a little bit sad to lose her new bony friends. She commands them to descend back into the crypt and rest there forever. "No need for you to stand and fight anymore little ones. Go sleep the sleep of the peaceful."

I'm assuming we don't need to go into the crypts ourselves? If so then when we leave she will command them to stay there.

Eraith mutters "We should let the bones of our host's ancestor's rest in peace. Half-Orc, can you release the magics that animate their bones still? I don't imagine our host taking kindly to the remains of his ancestors still up and about."

Eraith also retrieves the scimitar and sheathes it "We will also need to return this back to our host as well."

You need not to enter the crypt. The ability last a day but does not stop them from not being undead if i'm not mistaken, but surely Umut has a cleric to undo that.

The two skeletons confused go back to the crypt and take their rest. As you approach back to the manor, it is clear that everyone is anxious with your arrival. Aaqir, Jakti, Metella, and Temel stand at the door watching you arrive. Aaqir speaks up. "What has happened? Where is Umut?"

Umut was part of the conspiracy. She tried to pretend she was hurt, but I saw some of her supposed injuries were fake. She turned and summoned some skeltal warriors to kill us...luckily Charna here was able to stop them. Go and examine her if you like....the false wounds were laughable at best.

Before the party leaves the mausoleum, Kai searches through Ummut's belongings to see if there's anything incriminating in her possession.

Kai finds an unholy symbol of Urgathoa, two scrolls of animate undead, a fake wound kit, and a bunch if other useless items on Umut's person.

Good point. No big deal leaving them undead either.

"And we found these on her. She is a secret worshipper of Urgothoa, the evil goddess of disease and the undead. Likely biding her time for when all of you illustrious merchants are gathered together to strike you down with one blow."

Eraith quietly muses while Lin Kai and Patros speak to the merchants This doesnt explain the assassin though, who was hiding a symbol of Saraenre He shrugs, and doesnt say anything. Aaqir was safe after all, and the mission parameters didn't say anything about uncovering conspiracies.

"Well, this is definitely incriminating evidence, but I don't understand her motivation, although let's all rejoice that we can be save now. Although I will have my guards on extra duty tonight."

The pathfinder's recent discoveries that Umut was the reason for the undead party somewhat lifts the mood of the household as they now feel comfort that the threat has been eliminated. However many questions were left unanswered. However uncertain, something is yet to remain, burying the dead. And so, the funeral proceedings continue with the other clerics while guards maintain the highest standard of security with the help of the Pathfinder society.

Temel and Metella maintain a wary regard for each other as the prepare to depart from the Bahjari household, but maybe there is a future for friendship yet. Only time can tell. As the day end's Aaqir personally thanks each one of you for your efforts. "Thank you my dear friends, I had never a moment of doubt that the pathfinders could not solve this problem. Although today was tragic the outcomes here, it was not in vain. The traders, shaken, have agreed that it is in their best interest they align with my company and the pathfinder society. You will be glad to know I will write a report regarding the recent account with the highest praise to the Grand Lodge to recognize your efforts here today. Again, you have my sincerest thanks."

This officially concludes the adventure! You are still free to interact with the NPCs in case you're not satisfied with the conclusion, although this final post shall officially conclude your journey, I shall close the thread a day or two along with messaging each of you your chronicles. :)
