Belcher hits twice while Thunderstealer removes one of the images. Faeros kills Slaagh with an arrow to the thigh and another in the forehead, slaying the troglodyte interpreter instantly.
Nilfyr and Artemus are up!
Nilfyr Starshadow |
Nilfyr swings his fauchard at the priestess again, beginning to feel the frustration that comes with constantly missing his intended target.

Sorry about my delay - Was off yesterday and not year a computer much if at all. Also, is Art still sickened?
The elemental slams at Savisk and her remaining images, power attacking.

Artemus 5' steps north and attempts to splash the caster with acid, hoping to remove an image or do some small amount of damage.

Earth Glide (Ex)
A burrowing earth elemental can pass through stone, dirt, or almost any other sort of earth except metal as easily as a fish swims through water. If protected against fire damage, it can even glide through lava. Its burrowing leaves behind no tunnel or hole, nor does it create any ripple or other sign of its presence. A move earth spell cast on an area containing a burrowing earth elemental flings the elemental back 30 feet, stunning the creature for 1 round unless it succeeds on a DC 15 Fortitude save.
Earth Mastery (Ex)
An earth elemental gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls if both it and its foe are touching the ground. If an opponent is airborne or waterborne, the elemental takes a –4 penalty on attack and damage rolls. These modifiers apply to bull rush and overrun maneuvers, whether the elemental is initiating or resisting these kinds of attacks. (These modifiers are not included in the statistics block.)
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
Thanks for the reminder Faeros.
Thunderstealer's assault removes three of the images.
Nilfyr mirror image, 3 = hit: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Nilfyr's powerful blow only fells another illusion.
Elemental mirror image, 2 = hit: 1d2 ⇒ 1
The elemental in the back removes the last image, the troglodyte priestess now clearly visible for Artemus' glob of acid that sizzles some scales.

The fire only singes Thunderstealer's thick scales, although Nilfyr takes the weak gout head-on.
"Get help, save the Godbox!", Savisk calls out in Draconic as she prepares to fight tooth and nail now. The troglodyte on Belcher seemingly nods and flees the scene heading north. Due to the smell, Belcher can easily follow the troglodyte.

@Belcher: A withdraw action, so you would be correct :)
Thunderstealer rips into Savisk and Nilfyr ends the priestess with his blade chopping down on the troglodyte leader.
Belcher runs up and tries to rake the fleeing troglodyte, but fails. Faeros follows behind, seeing Belcher snarling at something in front of him.
Artemus up!
Artemus Jarm |
The arcanist casts Detect Magic and moves next to the caster studying her. We need to form up and assault this godbox. I suspect we will need at least one of the metal doors from this area too.
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
@Artemus: There is a vial on her that is magical as well as her boots. Near her body on the floor in some nesting is a backpack that is also magical. 2 more rounds before you can identify one of them.

Artemus finishes his magical looting and runs towards the party!
Nilfyr and Thunder/Belcher!
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
Belcher finishes off the other two troglodytes!
There is a short bit of respite as you know the troglodytes approach, but haven't made it yet.
Two turns to rest up before more enemies approach. Anything you wish to do?
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
@Faeros: Definitely from the south direction your right on the map, but I'll need a Perception check to get anything more specific.
Artemus Jarm |
Can we find one of the doors of strange metal and try to take it off the hinge? ]Art becomes unsickened. :) He also tries to identify the boots.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
Yes you can; from what you have seen, there's one of the doors from each entrance to the Godbox's room as well as the door near the entrance and the door near the supposed exit.
Artemus will identify the boots as boots of elvenkind, which will occur at the first round of the next combat.
@Faeros: It sounds like the snarls are coming from two directions, perhaps that the troglodytes are going to try and flank the party.
Faeros89 |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Faeros cracks a quick joke in appreciation of Thunderstealer's spell.
Well done, friend! I never expected you to make a room smell better
GM BPChocobo TK2 |
Round 2.... fight!
The sounds of draconic roars echoes from the pool room as a trio of footsteps approach from that chamber. Their stench is notable, but now bearable thanks to Thunderstealer's magic. Still more snarls come from the southwest, although no troglodytes are visible.
Map updated!
Party up!
Note, although I used the Savisk icon, that troglodye is not Savisk but an exceptionally large troglodyte warrior.
GM BPChocobo TK2 |

Nilfyr is up, waiting until after lunch, then botting and moving on.
Nilfyr Starshadow |
Nilfyr sees the others setting themselves up to receive the troglodytes and does the same, moving a bit north and readying his fauchard.
