Meanwhile, back in the game thread...

Halls' House:

Moving through the house, it's obvious no one's in the building, and judging from dust, Deidre guesses it's been a few days since they were there--matching up with what you've heard of events.

There are no traps in the house that you find, and not much good wealth either. In the kitchen, there's a fridge with a couple of brahmin steaks and half a mole-rat pie from the Cavern Inn, along with 5 bottles of dirty water and 3 bottles of beer. Also in the kitchen is an oven with a range top and a sink. In the cabinets you find 6 cans of Cram. It looks like the Halls were going to make a grocery run soon.

Moving through the rest of the house, there's nothing of note--three bedrooms, each with one bed, the master bedroom with a queen-size. Some toys are in one of the other bedrooms--a homemade doll, a toy car, and a teddy bear. However, as Deidre spends her extra time moving through every room, exploring every nook and cranny, she finds a small compartment built into the headboard of the bed in the plainest bedroom. Opening this compartment, she discovers a .38 revolver and 12 rounds of ammunition... Looks like Gunar Halls was packing.

Camper, your dog comes running back to you, panting, obviously wanting you to follow him. He leads you to the master bedroom and begins pawing at a piece of floorboard in the corner of the room, whining...

Everyone else: sorry that it's taking a bit, I hadn't counted on the party splitting so soon. Haven't you guys played before? Don't you know it's a bad idea? (Kidding, I'm kidding!)

Ah dang. My post seems to have been deleted by the cyber-gods. There was a glitch in the matrix.

"Hey guys, I honestly don't think anyone is...-Oh cool! Hey! Look what I found!" She waves the gun in the air like a pom-pom with an excited cheer, though she soon remembered no one was around to see (though could probably hear). "Well, I'm sure Mr. Hall got this to protect his family, so I'll see that it does just that." She smiles to herself and takes the gun with the ammo, then makes her way back to where the rest of the party is. "Ooooo! What'd you find, Camper? Sorry. I 'ooo-ed' there..."

In response to your comment Darius: "Yeah right? You'd think you'd bring protection if you were to leave home for an extended period of time. I'm willing to bet they didn't leave willingly. The door was locked too, probably to prevent people from entering and realizing the Hall's are missing. Well looks like these b&##*es weren't expecting experts in B&E."

Hey Arma, my equipment is not finalized yet. Sorry it's been taking so long. School and such. I'll quickly fix that today.

Vault two-five-two.

He couldn't care less who they sent, the more the merrier and the more successful the assignment. The more likely he wouldn't be dumped into the fire.

"Talk and walk, we've a long road ahead. Kirion, Junior Paladin Repo Squad from Delta bunker and you?"
He kept both hands on his laser rifle, ready for action, in his short time in the patrols he had learned that damn near anything could jump up and attack out in the wastes. Hell even towns weren't safe...

Knight Apprentice (KA) Morrow comes jogging up to Junior Paladin (JP) Kirion with his Wattz 2000 Laser Rifle at port arms or readied position. As soon as he reaches the JP, he stops briskly to report but is interrupted by the hurried actions of JP Kirion and starts to walk briskly next to him. He slings his laser rifle to take out his orders and in a winded voice...

"Junior Paladin Kora Kirion, I am Knight Apprentice Sagittarii Morrow. Thanks to my squad leader, I am the soul survivor of Fang Squad from Gamma Bunker." ... he shows you the picture below ... "HQ has temporarily reassigned me to Repo Squad under your command."

Sagittarii hands Kora his orders...

"Sir, Command stated they did not have a position for me in the other Knight squads and that it would be good for me to join Repo squad, Sir."

Sagittarii takes his Laser Rifle off his shoulder and back to port arms or the readied position like everyone should in the Wasteland and begins to scan left and right for enemy contact(s).

Fitz & Winter:

Curious, Winter turns to Fitz as the two walk back to town.

"I don't mean to be rude, brother, but why do you talk like that? It sounds..."

He stops for a moment, looking alarmed, and seems to be surreptitiously trying to grab hold of his Tommy gun Not a euphemism ;)

"Hey - you're not Chinese, are you?!"

Male Human (Wasteland Mutie Killer) Ranger (Trophy Hunter, Trapper)

Fitz & Winter:

He seems unphased by Winters scramble for his tommy gun. He gives a bit of a chuckle at being accused of being Chinese. "Oh goodness me no man. I'm not Chinese. I'm British, and bloody well proud of it!" He strikes a pose, hand resting on his saber as he seems to stare of into the heavens, the British flag seeming to backdrop behind him.

Male Human Paladin 1

Brotherhood:

He gave the picture a brief glance and felt sickened by what caused such a massacre. An entire patrol lost... Our defenses are fracturing and Gamma Bunker is now all the weaker for someones reckless pride. He sighed and handed the picture back without breaking stride. "I feel for your loss Knight Morrow and I promise you I won't make such a mistake. I'm here to win but we have to win smart. Now, Repo Squad isn't as glorious as being part of a combat patrol but we are just as important. Have you been briefed on our current objective?" His power armor distorted his voice, which may or may not make him sound insincere.

He eyed the Knight's W2K-Series Laser Rifle and took some comfort in knowing he wasn't the only one carrying heavy arms. That was when he noticed the Knights other armaments and couldn't help but think of them as more of a Fireteam then a scouting party...

Brotherhood:

With the same power armor distorted voice, Sagittarii responds ... "Thank you Paladin Kirion for your condolences and promise. I also promise you to kick ass and take names, I have your back! Although I prefer Combat Patrol, Repo squad and its mission is for the Brotherhood and that is all that matters to me." ... Sagittarii scans the area once more, notices Kora's Ripper, then continues ... "Command gave me a brief mission statement besides reporting to you and that was to recover technology from v232 (Vault 232) and purge any raiders in the area. And of course, safe guard all Brotherhood assets and recovered technology from all enemies of the Wasteland ... Sagittarii scans the area, then looks at Kora ... "I hope we find another Ripper during our mission that I can either keep or file a requisition form for the recovered Ripper to add to my inventory. For now, I have to put up with this low tech poorly maintained machete that I aquired from a Super Muttie I fragged." ... Sagittarii returns to scanning the area for enemies.

"I guess that means they didn't go out completely unarmed," Gergg says as he pockets the 10mm ammo. "If they had a box of this caliber ammo, I would think they've got the gun to go with it. I still don't get the logic in leaving that other gun in the headboard if nobody's home to use it. Be prepared, I always say."

"Anyway, back to collect our caps from Ian and Mia and then up to the Vault?"

"Yeah, I think we did good here. They'll be happy to know we checked on the place for them to make sure no one broke in or any- oooooooh.... uuuhhhh... well gents. Let's grab the upfront caps and head to the vault." En route to the door, she gives Darius a friendly slap on the shoulder as a sort of 'giddy-up'.

Brotherhood:
Lol whoops for some reason 252 was stuck in my head. Thats a Derp moment! Sorry GM and thanks Morrow for the reminder lol! :)

Kora nods as Sagittarii relays the mission perimeters to him correctly and that made things way easier. He smiled behind his power helm when Sagi made a comment about the Ripper, he smiled not out of smuggness but because he too sought one out the moment he laid hands on one in the barracks. He wasn't allowed one until he gained JP rank but after he joined the ranks of active combatants it was the first thing he requested and at heavy personal cost...

"If we find a Ripper I will file a summary report to support your requisition as well."

P-Scribe 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

He though for a moment about the best way the pair could work together, thinking back on old pre-war holotapes on military units. "We will act as a Fireteam, focusing ourselves on fire and movement. If we run into resistance it'll be important for us to stay mobile and pin the enemy down as best we can before determining whether we pull back or push forward. Now, the report I received cited a possible Super Mutant presence, if this proves true we were ordered to pull back and report to Delta bunker for support in clearing out the threats. Lets discuss tactics and skills. I am skilled at firing rapidly but it slows me down and isn't the most accurate attack, However it makes it easier to pin enemies down. I also excel at healing arts and was once a scribe and excelled at energy weapons and armor repairs."

Brotherhood:
Underneath the Power Armor Helm, Sagittarii has an ear to ear grin, however all that Kora sees him doing is nodding his head. "Thank you Sir for going to bat for me and I will not let you down, regardless. Acting as a fireteam works for me and if we do meet up with Super Mutants, can we at least kill one before a tactical retreat? I despise those creatures for obvious reasons!" ... Sagittarii gnashes his teeth under his helm, scans the area, and continues to talk ... "As you know, Knights are trained for front line battle, I can snipe targets up to 200 meters with the Wattz, hit anything hard from 5 to 20 meters with the Multiplas, I can keep heads down with rapid fire, and I am OK in a close and personal fight but as you know I would be better once my melee weapon is replaced." ... Sagittarii continues to scan far and wide.

Kora saw a reflection of himself in this Knight, except his hatred was aimed at the SM's that they encountered in the wastes. "Hold that picture close and remember what happened always. We will put up a token resistance, if it came alone we will put it down. We will focus on fire and movement, I trust your ability to use that W2K fully. If we are lucky enough to down them we will assess the situation and proceed from there."

He continued his scan's, looking at the odd bleep every now and again and grimacing as he realized his suit wasn't up to par. Three days without adjusting it would cost him dearly, he was sure of it...

Brotherhood:
Since I forgot to mention this in my last post, Sagittarii did take back the Investigation Photo of Fang Squad from Kora since that is something he will not purposely discard.

Sagittarii nods and places the Investigation photo of Fang Squad's demise in a safe place ... "I will remember always! I will remember my brethren serving the Brotherhood faithfully! I will remember they died for the Brotherhood! I will remember my Squad Leader who obviously respected me, saved my life! And I will remember who is responsible! However, I will not take uncalculated risks and I will comply with orders" ... Sagittarii pauses to scan the area and then continues ... "I agree with your fireteam tactics, dealing with Super Mutants, and I will comply. I almost forgot, I have been known to stretch the 200 meter range to 2000 meters with the W2K. However without a scope, or a spotter, and perhaps an amplifier depending on the environment, I may be hard press to hit my targets at the 2000 meter range." ... Sagittarii scans the area once more for enemy contact.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

I have not been paying attention except for the surrounding area for enemy contact."

I just had enough time to meet with your, I mean, our CO, find a locker, a bunk, and jog out to catch up with you. However I do prefer the Corvega of "After the Bomb" military operations, a nice Vertibird with Midwestern BoS stickers. I have seen some Enclave units flying around Chicago and a few crashed ones here and there. Maybe one day we can salvage enough parts to make one operational or "borrow" one from the Enclave? Of course, we will have convert it to B100 Biofuel since MWBoS does not have any large fuel reserves to speak of. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.' All of this we have in the Brotherhood and more, too long have I lived by someone else's misconceptions as a scribe. Not anymore though, I follow orders but live by own terms outside of the Bunker let them squander their lives on what they believe is truth."

He crested another hill, Sagi right alongside him and pointed out some notable land marks. "We're making good progress at least, That towering rock over their, noted 'Finger of God' by the locals means were at the halfway point.
