What is the time of day?

Slides/maps

It was dusk when you found the log.

"It is nice to meet you all. You seem nice. And if you can get rid of the walking dead, even batter. I will come back as quickly as I can. I have to fly pretty far, and still need to watch out for bad things in the woods. Do not wander too far from the log or I may not be able to find you when I get back. I wish I had some big people food to offer you. Well, not food made out of big people...no, that would not be good. But food for big people. Anyway, I best go if you want me back quickly. Stay here until I return. That would be best. Please be careful as the woods are not safe."

The little dragon buzzes off in a hurry, although not going in exactly a straight line before you lose sight of him.

Grand Lodge

Before Riddywipple leaves, Kyra will answer.

"I, too, love the Dawn, little one. My Lady is the goddess known as the Dawnflower, and I rise every morning to greet Her as the sun rises. Would you like to join me tomorrow?"

Kyra will work with Harsk to make a camp. She asks to take last watch so she will be awake when the Dawn comes.

Slides/maps

To Kyra..."I will look forward to seeing you at the dawn then good lady. "

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard 4

"So long...Ready-whipple." Ezren looks around in the fading light. "I suppose we should take shifts if we are to spend the night. I'll go first, unless there are any objections?"

Scarab Sages

Biter an meself will take the night watch

Grand Lodge

Toro will look around the area and try to fortify the log as much as possible. No need in getting ambushed by the undead in the middle of the night he mumbles as he sets up alarms and simple traps around the clearing. Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Slides/maps

You wait for an hour or two and no sign of the little dragon. The sun sets and darkness covers the forest. You take up watches as described. Other than a few loud growls in the distance, the night passes without incident.

At dawn, Riddywipple returns and wakes those not on watch by buzzing excitedly around your heads, chattering in his squeaky, singsong voice.

"Wake up...wake up sleepy heads. I have returned as quickly as I could. Pack up your things and make haste.

“In the night last night, I flew over to
my friendly pixie friend Pollinia, a trixie
youngster who lit out with me for a bit of a
fly-around, where we chatted about all the
happy happenings in the forest as well as some untidy tidings.
As it turns out, the carved cave near my pegasi friendlies has a
new body that everybody agrees is disagreeable. The old cold
cavern used to be used by humans long before long ago, but
it’s been empty as a log since then."

“Now it seems an unseemly creature has wandered in from
the bit of bog near Wartle and taken to torturing and terrifying
the forest. The monster’s name is Marigana, and trappers
chased her from her Wartle morass after she kidnapped some
napping kids from the town and turned them into deadly
undead. Now she’s taken up taking over Sanos, and wants to
spread her terrible territory. We can make a joint journey to
see the poisonous new occupant, but it will be doubtlessly
undeadly."

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard 4

Ezren struggles to follow what the fairy is saying. "So...this Marigana is the one behind Dijjit's abduction? I say we get to the bottom of this. Riddywhipple, please show us the way."

Ezren gathers his belongings and finishes off some rations.

Grand Lodge

Kyra smiles as her dawn meditation is interrupted by the return of the fairy dragon. "Give me a few more minutes of contemplation, until the sun has completely cleared those hills, and I will be ready."

Scarab Sages

We be ready
the dwarf is confirmed by his companions sound of agreement

Slides/maps

"It is about half a day at gnome speed to reach our destination. "

Once your questions have been answered, the dragon begins heading north. As you make your way deep into the forest, Riddywipple stops

"We are approaching the home of my longtime friends, pegasi who might be able to offer assistance in defeating the undead. "

The party follows an overgrown road until they reach a muddy, reedy lake surrounded by underbrush and large stones..

Grand Lodge

"Careful. There's always the possibility they might have been captured or killed themselves. We should scout first."

Grand Lodge

Fort +8, Ref +7, Will +10 AC 17, touch 15, flat-footed 15 // hp 50

Aye Kyra, a good idea
Toro will scout out ahead of the group.
Stealth of 10, will take a 10 or 20 as you allow, also, I'll roll in case that is necessary. Stealth Roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard 4

Ezren stumbles along. As the group stops, he bends over and rests his hands on his haunches. "These old bones...Yes, you two take a look ahead. I'll...wait here." He finds a boulder to set himself down on.

Slides/maps

As you approach the lake, you see the silhouettes
of a statuesque pegasus grazing in the glade.

However, as you move closer, you see the Pegasus is covered
in deep wounds and dried blood, and that it grazes not
upon grass, but upon the carcass of a fallen creature.

The blood-encrusted pegasus turns its attention toward your group clumsily lifts into the air.

Ezren and Harsk are up. You see Pegasus aloft about 90' away.

I am working on getting the map...but limited with ipad from hotel.

Scarab Sages

Harsk levels his HCB at the thing and fires

Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grand Lodge

On her turn, Kyra will cast Bless and get her sling out.

Scarab Sages

bless = +1 to attack and damage for 40rounds. Just incase people don't know

Grand Lodge

Not damage, just attack. Also +1 against fear if that happens to matter.

Kyra also tries to recognize what sort of undead these may have been turned into: Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Scarab Sages

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard 4

Ezren marks the distance between him and the Pegasus, "Sad to see a beautiful creature in such a state..." He reaches into his pouch and removes a bit of saltpeter, rubbing it between his thumb and forefinger. He then lets out a cry, "Hai-duken!" and unleashes a firebolt at the creature. Move into range and Cast Scorching Ray.

Scorching Ray (Ranged Touch Attack): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 6) = 16

Slides/maps

Ezren unleashes a bolt of fire, hitting the flying creature and causing burning of flesh and feathers.

Harsk shoots hit crossbow and hits, but t bolt appears to pass through flesh without much impact.

After his shot, Harsk looks to the lake...

Harsk:
DC 16 will save please.

Harsk:
You hear the sound of a woman calling for help from the lake and feel strongly compelled to help her....you can take no other actions but to walk into the lake on your turn.
ks: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22

As the creature lifts slowly into the air, Kyra can tell from the wounds this appears to be the staggered movement of a zombie-like creature about 20' up and 90' away.

Kyra and Toro are up.

Grand Lodge

Would Kyra know that zombies have DR/Slashing? Also is it apparent how Harsk is affected?

Slides/maps

Krya would know about the slashing. So far, no reason to think Harsk is affected (nothing obvious or visible happened to him).

Grand Lodge

"It's a zombie! Piercing and bludgeoning it don't work well-we need to slice it up!"

Grand Lodge

Kyra calls down a blessing upon the party while grabbing a sling.

The snake and druid move forward along the round.

The winged horse sees the pair and charges (partial) Toro, diving as it attacks.

"Nahhhahhaheeeeeee!"

Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Slides/maps

The bolt of force strikes the flying horse, tearing into its rotten flesh.

Meanwhile Harsk walks silently towards the lake edge, about to step into the water.

Kyra and Toro are up....

Grand Lodge

I am going to assume Kyra realizes something is wrong with Harsk.

"Harsk? What are you... بذاءة!" She swears in Kelish as she realizes some spell has bewitched her friend. "Riddywhipple, can you bring my scimitar to Toro? Grab it from my hand as I run?" Kyra moves quickly to Harsk, drawing her scimitar in one hand as she prepares her holy symbol in the other. Speaking words of devotion, she touches the dwarf on the shoulder with the dawnflower's sigil, casting Protection from Evil to help him shrug off the mind-affecting spell.

Kyra hands her blade to the small dragon and rushes to her dwarf friend to cast a spell on him.

The druid punches at the winged horse, hitting it square on the nose, but appears ignore most of it.

Meanwhile, the large snake moves up and bites a horse leg, then wraps itself around the undead creature.

The horse attacks the large snake...but cannot make contact with the coiling snake.

Ezren now notices the dwarf walking towards the lake and the cleric chasing after him. "Curse my slow wits!" He then brings his wooden cane up as he reaches into his component pouch with his other hand and removes a small bit of fine sand. He chants in abyssal, "ставио овај патуљак спавати."

Casting sleep using my arcane bonded item to cast the unprepared spell. The idea is to cast it to catch Harsk but not Kyra. DC 15 Will save.

Slides/maps

Does it still take a full round to cast via bonded item?

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard 4

I think so. Can I aim it at the end of casting so I don't get some empty square?

Grand Lodge

Fort +8, Ref +7, Will +10 AC 17, touch 15, flat-footed 15 // hp 50

Toro continues to assault the undead pegasus, wondering where the rest of the calvary is.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Meanwhile the snake continues to try to strangle the monster.
CMB vs Grapple: 1d20 + 15 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 15 + 5 = 26 Constrict Damage: 1d4 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16

Grand Lodge

Same casting time as a normall spell, which is 1 round in the case of sleep I think. Shouldn't Toro have the scimitar by now, or was the dragon unable to carry it?

Slides/maps

With a protective spell from Kyra, Harsk tries to shake off the affects drawing him to the water. His willpower is still insufficient and he proceeds to walk into the lake.

The small dragon delivers the scimitar to Toro near the undead menace.
"Here you go, snake master man!"

Ezren begins casting a long spell.

What appears to be a female humanoid creature (elf or human?) appears in the water next to Harsk and proceeds to batter the poor dwarf with a pair of green fists....

"Ah yes, come closer to me so I can get a better look at my dinner!"

slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 for dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 for dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The first fist is deflected by the protective magics...but the second hits the dwarf in the jaw.

Slides/maps

While Toro swings wildly at the undead, the snake continues to crush the winged horse, and breaks its bones sending feathers flying everywhere.

Kyra is up (Toro you can pick up the blade if you'd like)
