GM, I just wanted to let you know I'm right now playing this special in standard mode. It's in a very different tier (tier 7-8), and a very different character (paladin). I will hang back a little in decision making, other than trying to get the group to go different ways than I have already seen.

![]() |
Sounds good. Thanks for letting me know up front. I figured with a core table, it's an opportunity for replay for those who played normal mode the first time around. So I suspect you will not be the only one.
On the GM side, I'm in a similar situation. I ran this at GenCon in standard mode. This will be my second table running this. I actually will be overseer at a local event before we finish here as well.

![]() |

I too am on a 5-6 table (standard). Also good hanging back to let others have the spotlight.
Hey Ahmandé, this is one of Kord's aliases. Good to play with you again!

![]() |

I'm feeling like I overcommitted myself for the second part of gameday, so I'm going to have to bow out of this. There are several characters on the wait list who could take my spot, so I'm not inconveniencing anyone much. GM, can you please remove me so that my campaigns list doesn't have stragglers? Thanks.

Hey Ahmandé, this is one of Kord's aliases. Good to play with you again!
Hey Wraith! Good to see you here again too. I'm loving how you're playing Kord in our other game. :) As you may have seen in that game's discussion, I'd forgotten we were doing three parts over there, so Ahmande isn't available for this game after all. @GM, I'm dotting into gameplay with my Paladin, Ny'a, instead. Can you please delete/deactivate Ahmande from this game?
Thanks!

![]() |

Well, ninja dotting, as it were. :) Ny'a is now dotted into Gameplay.
Also, as @GM suspected, we might all have played this as standard. I'm on a 3-4 table right now. Let's make sure that we all don't take a back seat on decisions. ;)

Fromagalli, I've never played with an evil-leaning cleric, so I'm not sure what to expect from you in terms of party role. Are you able to do much healing? I'm wondering how much Deenha is going to end up in the healing role.

![]() |

I was going to be change to sorcerer but he will be a rogue who keeps his faith hidden mostly but will happily ace his umd to activate wands as required. He is most interested in Secrets precious little secrets. He is of the Moldris end justifies the means libertys edge type.

![]() |

actually I will withdraw. I am running this at PaizoConOz . In such circumstances forgetting what is in the scenario is too much effort to be enjoyable. Have fun guys and remove me from the players please GM

![]() |

Thrawn I'm dotting in here, the link you sent me was for a non-core table so I assume this is the correct one. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Passing aid token #1 to your team.
There are no boosts currently on it, however.
Core teams need to stick together :D

Aid Token
Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 1d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. Boosted: +1d8 points of damage. (to boost, attack roll vs average AC)
Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 1d6 points of damage. Boosted: +2d6 points of healing (to boost, expend 1 channel energy or cast a healing spell of level 2 or higher. Must be cast, not from item)
Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage (+1) bardic performance for 3 rounds. Boosted: increase bonus by 1 (to boost, expend 3 rounds of bardic performance)
Provide Knowledge (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a Knowledge skill check or Spellcraft skill check used to identify a magical item; the type and difficulty (Easy, Average, or Hard) depend on the table granting the benefit. (To Boost: Succeed at a Knowledge check of your choice, the result of the check (Easy, Average or Hard) should be noted on the Aid Token.)
Provide Spellcasting (must be boosted): Gain the benefits of a beneficial spell cast by an ally as listed on the Aid Token. To Boost: Cast one of the following spells and note your PC’s name and caster level on the Aid Token: lesser restoration, neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease.
As a team, you can invoke the aid token to provide one of the benefits, or you may boost it. Neither takes an action.
Strong GM encouragement: Use the token quickly, and pass it on. If you don't think you need the help, then pick something to boost.

We don't seem to need it at the moment. I vote we boost and pass. Here are the boosts we could give out:
. . Allied Offensive: Xugra - Greatsword +6
. . Timely Inspiration: Deenha - 3 rounds Bardic Performance
. . Provide Knowledge: Deenha - Knowledge +6
I vote for Allied Offensive or Provide Knowledge; they don't cost us expendable resources to give the boost.

![]() |

I agree that Deenha's inspire is too limited a resource to want to give up almost half of for the day. I'd be happy to roll for a knowledge check to boost. It sounds like it can be any knowledge, and Deenha's best knowledge skills are at +6.
boost token, knowledge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

![]() |

Can't get better than that!
Let's get that token over to another table, pronto!

![]() |

I'm going to be MIA from tomorrow night into Monday afternoon as I'm getting married this weekend. Feel free to bot Xugra, he's a pretty straight forward fighter.

Congratulations!

If we're not likely to finish the next encounter, I would rather wait. If we're likely to be able to finish, I'd like to head outside.
I'm of this mind as well, but I wonder if the recent Overseer Announcement makes the outside moot as well.

Deenha boosted the last one with a Knowledge check. Xugra's Greatsword attack would be just as a good of a bonus for the Allied Offensive boost; I vote we boost one token that way this time, and pass it on.
For the other token (the one we keep and use), I vote that we use it to gain Allied Offensive on the first hit anyone scores in this combat. Let's take out an archer if we can.

Deenha and I both voted to boost token #3 with Xugra's greatsword attack (best attack bonus in our party) for the Allied Offensive boost. Nobody else has voted or suggested anything, so let's go with that.
Xugra, can you make that roll here so we can pass the token on?

![]() |

Missed the above since I keep getting logged out.
Greatsword Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Not sure if I can toll again but...
Greatsword Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

The mix of goblins (with the sight down) and the automatic logouts have made these campaigns a lot more difficult to keep up on and respond to, so totally understand. Trying to get into a groove of continually logging back in to keep things moving (especially on the special with the time limits) but we'll see how I do.

I think your actions were great. I just got a lucky roll on the daze. With the special, cycling actions quickly is more important than getting things right. Usually you get to spend more time on character and such in PbP, but with the race against the clock, this becomes a bit more of seeing how many encounters can get knocked out in a time frame (hopefully while having fun and getting to show a little character at the same time.) Dice really haven't been with the good guys in this particular encounter.

Rules question: Does using a CLW wand to attack use up a charge each attempt, or a charge each successful hit, or something else? The first two attacks hit, which obviously used up a charge. Now Deenha missed with the touch attack. My guess would be that she used the charge, but it has not 'discharged' so she can still use in on her next round without using another wand charge.
