I made a mistake - Atua has the chaotic subtype, and thus, "A creature with the chaotic subtype overcomes damage reduction as if its natural weapons and any weapons it wields were chaotic-aligned." I suspect that the Kolyarut isn't regenerating at all...

Observation of the scene includes the creation of an iron golem shield guardian, and reveals Xin placing that shield guardian’s amulet in the secret safe in the southern pillar.

Since the trap should be clear, Grergof sends everyone a bit back and then opens the door.


If we are following Spugnoirs suggestion (lead with your chin), let's take a couple of steps...

Before Brother Grergof steps into the room, Atua says "Hold up for a second, here.."

She sends him the Sihedron, suggested setting- Generosity = +4 AC, Then wait to the next round, so it can be passed between them if needed...

and continues "I will come with you, to cover your back", and surges into the room with by his side...

Not sure if the trap has a many attacks that it spreads over the group, or if it just attacks everyone in reach twice. If it's the first, splitting the attacks is a good idea.

As Grergof starts bashing the crystal blocking the door, the sliver traps go off as expected. But also a large hand emerges from the crystal walls and grabs Grergof.

Yep thanks for the suggestion, I'll use Generosity which gives me a 34 AC.
The slivers shatter on Grergof armor
Then a hand reaches out and can't seem to grab Grergof.
Ring of Freedom of movement makes that Grapple check auto fail thank you.
