"You want me to look like Harry Potter? No way!" Abomentolor declines "I want cool stuff. Not this nerdy s#@+. How about I get this wand of divine weapon?"
Tauriell smiles at the gnomes ranting and pus the glasses on. Taking out the small mirror from her grooming kit she checks how it looks on her. Then she looks around the room.
"I think the purple glasses match my hair colour quite well. And we should dust the house. There is a small spider weaving a net. Tauriell says pointing to the opposite corner of the room.
"You can't use that wand just like me. What would you want with it?" Gwenhwyfar replies.
"Who cares if you can't I can! See!" Abomentolor claims while grabbing the wand from the table and activates it.
"Useless thing will you work!" he curses waving the thing around.
And as the spiritual weapon appears beside him he proudly points to it and says "Tadaa!"
Tauriell pulls the glasses down a bit on her nose and looks over them at Abomentolor. "You don't want Harry's glasses but you have no problems using Harry's magic wand?" she mocks the gnome.
"You're wasting divine spells just to show off!?!" Gwenhwyfar says appalled.
"Harry uses divine spells?" Niamh straddles in.
"It's not like your god is stored in a stick." Abomentolor rebuts the accusation. "If the gods would care it wouldn't work. And all the holy people wouldn't sell these sticks for money."
"Probably not." Tauriell replies to Niamh "But he can't cast a single spell without a stick in hand."
"Really? Then he would need many sticks, right? How many sticks does he have? Do you think someone can put more than one spell on a stick?" Niamh asks.
"I don't think Harry is from our world. The magic from these books is strange." Tauriell tries to end this topic.
"Do you think we could visit other worlds? That would be exiting, wouldn't it?"
"As we're talking about who gets what let's discuss who gets the shard." Gwenhwyfar says glaring at Abomentolor.
"That depends on how you define world. You could travel to other planes." Tauriell tells Niamh.
"Who has the shard now?" Tauriell asks. "And I would really like to hold the first shard for a moment. I'm curious if I get a vision of Heidmarch manor then."
Abomentolor looks grumpy as he thought he could simply keep both of the shards.
"Well what do these things do?" Jimmy asks
"Easiest thing would be to hold it in your hands. Then you'll know. Or I could explain it in thousand words or less. Whatever you prefer." Tauriell says half joking.
"You just want to tear them out of my hands. Admit it!" Abomentolor complains.
"No way! I want Jimmy to do that. And then pass it on to me." Tauriell jokes.
"Just tell us what they do Abomentolor. Or give them to me." Jimmy says putting his hand out for one
Abomentolor holds the shards so anyone can see them but doesn't hand them over. "This one can cast a really great illusion once per day and makes everything you do much easier." he explains about the shard of pride.
And about the shard of greed he explains "This one makes you faster in combat once per day and helps you hit easier."
"And it makes you stronger. It's an effect of the ioun stone. But I assumed you'd notice. I expected the improvement to be even more impressive on a pushover like you." Tauriell adds.
"And the stones within?" Jimmy esquires further
"How should I know? Ask the book worm over there." Abomentolor replies pointing at Tauriell.
"I would. If you give it to me." Tauriell says holding her hand out.
Abomentolor reluctantly hands over the shard of pride.
Tauriells eyes start shining with joy as she concentrates on the shard. She then ges an absent minded expression on her face. As she returns after a few moments she smiles. "You really see the Manor from an elevated point. And I feel the strong urge to do a full body search on Abomentolor." Tauriell exaggerates a bit.
"As for the abilities. I'd say it's a casting of major image. And the enhancement is like a constant inspire competence. The ioun stone works much like the headband of vast intelligence we have here."
"It should also give you some special competence in one skill but I can't tell which one."
"Then we actually have two things increasing intelligence. If I take both of them we could find out if I cast with intelligence." Gwenhwyfar says excitedly.
"I doubt that would work my dear." Jimmy says thinking
"Mph! Why not?!" Gwenhwyfar pouts.
"It's probably the same kind of enchantment. And then they don't add up." Tauriell explains. "But with all those tremendously valuable things on the table no one has even thought aloud what everyone wants. Besides Abomentolor who wants to have it all but the glasses."
"I would like something for my intelligence. But I have no preference about which one of these two items I take for that." Gwenhwyfar states.
"I don't need anything of that." Niamh says and walks to her room to put off her armor. She then comes back and sits down again.
"What does the stone in the other shard do?"
"Well. Then it is more for the rest of us. You don't even want the money?" Tauriell asks.
"The ioun stone in the shard of greed gives you more strength." she answers to Jimmy.
"If there's something left I would take it. Probably I find something in Lini's shop if I have enough money." Niamh replies.
"Well I am the best at hitting things, so perhaps we should make me better at that?" Jimmy suggests, "Niamh, Gwen and I are going down to Lini's when we are done here, you could join us."
"Please don't speak in riddles. You want the shard of greed?" Tauriell asks.
"If nobody else wants it I will gladly take it."
"If you want we can give you your own weight in coins." Gwenhwyfar offers to Niamh.
"I thought we already agreed that I want all the shards?" Abomentolor states his words dripping with irony as it is clear he wont get them all.
Niamh's eyes grow wide. "Then I couldn't walk anymore!" She replies. "I would have to hide everything in my, I mean our, room." Niamh adds with a look and a smirk at Daya.
"I'm not really fond of getting the shard of greed. I made some bad experiences with it. But there is one thing you should consider. It's greatest power is probably the spell like ability. We would all wait for you to cast it first in a fight."
"Not that I knew someone who could fill that role better." Tauriell tells her thoughts. "Niamh maybe. She's doing support casting all the time."
"You could ask Brutus to help you carry it." Gwenhwyfar suggests.
"He isn't here yet. But that's a great idea." Niamh answers. "I'm fine with Jimmy carrying that shard around, thank you."
