Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Abomentolor draws a dagger out of his sleeve and tries to stab the fish you are trying to hold down.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
But the fish twitches out of harms way, and the deck gets attacked.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

As Jimmy hold down the fish Abomentolor manages at least to not hurt himself
1d20 ⇒ 5
And on second and third try brings him closer to his end.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Jimmy Fiddle |

As Jimmy stands up he from his catch he notices the sail is flapping loosely in the wind, and he can tell the boat is no longer pointed towards the landmark he was supposed to maintain course with. "We may have a problem Abomentolor." He says indicating the sails. "Let me go call the captain and tell him I made a mistake, but caught him dinner. Hopefully that quells any anger he may have." Jimmy walks inside and peeks into the kitchen, where he tells Gwen "Go see what's for dinner" with a smile indicating the deck. He then goes to knock on the captains door, "Sir, we, ummm, seem to have lost course somewhat, but we caught dinner" trying to exaggerate the second part of his sentence.

Foxy Quickpaw |

"What do ya mean we? I thought you were steering the ship!"
Unwillingly the Captain gets up from his chair walks past you and takes a look out of the door and around to assess the situation. He then turns back to you, pats you roughly on your shoulder telling you "Well boy, you messed that up, you go and fix it.".
Walking past you he chuckles and without facing you, he adds "I bet that hill is still there, isn't it?" and closes his cabin door.

Jimmy Fiddle |

Jimmy is left standing there like a bit of a fool. Not being a sailor he didn't know how big of an issue going of course here would cause. Jimmy reckons that if they can get the boat pointing in the right direction the wind should catch again and they should be fine.
"Abomentolor, the fishing was your idea so give me a hand getting us back on course" Jimmy says walking past. He grabs an oar and positions himself on the port side of the boat "Let's try get us pointed in the right direction, towards that hill over there". Jimmy waits for abomentolor before starting to row the boat, trying to turn it in the right direction.
Profession Sailor: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Also did Gwen respond to the Fish?

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Gwenhwyfar looks a bit irritated, as she already decided what to cook for dinner, preparations already started, but then remembered about Abolomentor beeing here a while ago and get curious.
Giving Jimmy an amused look, as he gets scolded by the Captain she walks out and up on the Quarterdeck. Encountering Abomentolor she states "Well, that's a catch worth to change dinner plans."
And before Abomentolor could mutilate the fish any more with his dagger, she grabs it and drags it into her kitchen.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Abomentolor protests "I held the rudder like you told me, and left it alone, as you asked me to kill tat fish. So don't blame me. It's your..., ok we both didn't add to our fame score here. But I don't think I'll be a big help here."
Profession Sailor: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
But I think our main problem is that we dont move.

Tauriell |

Tauriel listening in on the bickering on the quarterdeck and decides o give you a hand. Checking the wind she loosens the flying jib and ties it to the other side of the boat to have it back in the wind.
Profession Sailor: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Gwenhwyfar creates some delicious dinner, happening again at the Captains cabin, serving you tuna steaks, steamed carrots and cooked potatoes that were tossed in butter and rosemary.
All enjoy the meal and have a good time. Jimmy finds a slice of bacon under his tuna steak. After all is said and eaten, the captain sends you to bed, this time waiting for you to leave with the dishes, before readying himself for bed.
All but Jim Hawkins, who still has the night watch go to sleep.

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

After a good night's sleep Gwenhwyfar get up early trying not to wake anybody, has her prayer time and then prepares breakfast.
As the mornign get's bright all sleeping in the bunks, awake to the delicious smell of toasted bread and tea. As she hands you your plate with toasted bread with butter and honey she has a hard to construe smile on her face.
She then grabs some more plates and starts distributing them to the other members of the crew. As she comes back to fetch more plates she asks you "Are you enjoying your little perks, Mr. Navigator?" trying to supress a chuckle.
As Jimmy starts to eat, he will find half a slice of bacon under one of the bread slices.

The next two days are rather uneventful. Jimmy and Tauriel are more involved in the sailing of the boat as Jim Hawkins takes himself back a bit to also enjoy some of the easy going, everyone else seems to have. Abomentolor hangs out with the Captain and they entertain each other.
Also all of Jimmy's meals turn up to contain some hidden bacon. It becomes a running gag and a game of hide and seek bacon between Gwenhwyfar and Jimmy.
At the evening of th 4th day of your journey, the city of Riddleport comes into sight, the sun shining from the west at it's skyline. As you close in on the harbor you approach one of the most intriguing and well-preserved Thassilonian monuments - the cryptic Cyphergate, a ring of stone that arches gracefully over the entrance to the city’s harbor.
Passing through the gate, you arrive at the docks, and tie the boat to them. Collecting your belongings you say your goodbye to the Captan and Jim Hawkins.
"Don't get lost, and don't forget to come back. I look forward to have another four days of travel with you." and sighing as he watches you leave adds "I'll miss the good meals. We are back to cooked fish now."
All of you, who took part in the various tasks on board of the Pequod are now trained in doing so and get a bonus skill rank. Gwenhwyfar gets one rank in Profession (Cook) and Tauriel and Jimmy get one rank in Profession (Sailor). Abomentolor managed to avoid most of the work, by being sea sick or otherwise being unavailable but spent quite some time with the captain spinning yarn and therefore get one rank in Perform (Oratory)

As you leave the pier and enter the city's harbour district, called Windward District, it is bustling with life. Ships are loaded, or unloaded. Ships quite a bit more impressive than the Pequod are tied up here. The most often handled wares can be bought right from the ships, or at the promenade along the waterline.
Fresh fish and other sea fruits, all kinds of farm animals, vegetables, spices, almost everything comes via the sea into the city, and can be bought here. Also trade goods like carpets, jewelery, tobacco and the kind are handled as one could guess from the writings on the crates. With guards protecting the process of loading them to carts, and carrying them off.
But you also notice some shady figures, loitering in the shadows, maybe offering different kind of things or waiting for an unsuspecting victim.
Beyond the promenade you are greeted by a sight of bars, inns, taverns, and other establishments offering different kinds of entertainment. Also some regular homes, but you notice the unusual sturdy doors for that kind of houses.

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Being the first time in another town than Sandpoint in her life Gwenhwyfar has a serious case of overexcitement.
It started as the Cypher-Gate came into sight and it's dimensions became obvious and hasn't ceased since then. She is all "Have you seen that, look at this, ooooh is this beautiful, this ship, look how big it is" and so on without taking a breath.
She jumps from here to there and back to look what this endless market has to offer, completely oblivious of the shady figures.

Jimmy Fiddle |

"Gwen! Calm down, we don't want to get separated in a town like this." Jimmy shouts after her as she flits through the crowds... "I have a suggestion, I don't know what you guys think, but I would like us to pool our gold and maybe buy some potions?" he says to the group once they group up again

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Gwen stops, looks around where her companions are, and comes back.
"What potions do you need? I have a potion of cure light wounds with me and could create more if we buy some ingredients. Or a mage armor for what it's worth."
"If it helps, I have 8 gold and some change."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Abomentolor holds tight to his belt pouch, but as he hears mage armor he responds "In a mage armor potion I would be interested, but I only have 10 gold to share"

Tauriell |

"I'm not sure what you expect we will face in the woods, so you want to invest more in the preparation as we are going to earn from the job. But as Gwen can produce them at cost and we could sell them without loss I'm willing to lend you my 17 gold." Tauriel replies.
Her posture and the look on her face showing she doesn't care one way or the other.

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

As Gwenhwyfar comes back from her thoughts and hearing Tauriel offering her money she remembers Jimmy askin about the costs. "I'm not sure, as Hannah always bought the ingredients. But I think she mentioned once selling it at double of the costs, that would make it 25 gp per potion I create."

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

"I know what they look like, and Hannah gets them from a merchant from Magnimar that sends a few every month. But I've never been in Riddleport before, I don't have a clue where to buy that here."
Looking a bit confused at Jimmy's question.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Abomentolor steps in with his knowledge. "Usually you have some magical supply shop, where you can buy assorted material components for spells and oher minor magical gimmicks. They have the ingredients it takes.
"As no one of us seems to be familiar with this town we might need to ask around"
Walking to a group of customers at one of the more exotic mercants that doesn't sell groceries he asks "Dear sirs and Madams, would on eof you be able to tell me where I could find some magical supplies in this wonderful town?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
He get's the desired information and with a "Thank you very much, you saved my day. May the blessing of the Dawnflower be with you." he returns to you with a big smile and mighty proud of himself.
"Well, now I kow where to get it."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Just behind the first row of houses starts the area, where most of the academic folks and wizards reside, that moved here to study the Cipher Gate. There are several shops that seem to serve the needs of magic users with wands, potions, scrolls books and te like advertised, but Abomentolor leads you to an alchemists shop called 'Bottled Solutions'
He stops before the shop and suggests "We should talk now how much of these ingredients we want, to spare the owner our pondering"

Foxy Quickpaw |

As you stay there you can see the goods offered behind a large window. It's all kinds of alchemical brews, some alchemical remedies and some extracts, everything nicely labeled. As the name suggests, everything that can be put in a bottle.
There is even a bottle high in alcohol content labeled 'Temporary Problem Solution'
It's evening, but sun won't go down before a stay for the nightis found

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Gwenhwyfar answeres the Gnome "It takes me two hours to create one. I cound still make one potion this evening, and another one in the morning. But then I wouldn't have all my spells for tomorrow. It's best you decide which and how many potions I should create."
With that she looks around in search of the one of the group making that decision.

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

Gwenhwyfar seems a bit uncomfortable, as there is obviously need for more than she can provide so she tries to explain what she can do and what not.
"Jimmy you seem concerned about having enough healing at hand. So let me explain what I can offer. I have this gift to be able to heal every person once per day. This is a very powerful gift as it is invaluable when many are wounded. Beyond that I have two spells that I can prepare. I also have one potion of cure light wounds, and if it comes to the worst, I can also magically stabilize the dying."
"Without cutting in my daily spells for tomorrow, I could make one potion of your choice today, either cure light wounds or mage armor."
"I don't know what you expect, but from my experience in Sandpoint, I would say if that is not enough, then we are preparing for war here. Should I become afraid?" she asks with anxiety in her voice, searching in Jimmy's eyes for reassurance.
As of yet she is not afraid, as only Jimmy seems concerned and the others are not, but she is starting to loose her cool.

Jimmy Fiddle |

"Well I didn't realize you could heal each of us once per day. That doesn't sound like something I've ever seen a cleric of any deity do." Jimmy says curious as to how this can be. "But if that is the case then I highly doubt we are going to need any more healing"
Jimmy smiles at her encouragingly, he is impressed by her abilities, as they are beyond what he imagined them to be. Never played or read on witches

Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |

"When we found a place to stay, I would then brew the desired potion for you Mr. Goblinburner, if we getthe ingredients here. And tomorrow I would prepare my usual Mage Armor for me and a cure light wounds, if someone needs more than on healing. Would that be ok?" she asks, adressing the group, but then looks at Jimmy.

Jimmy Fiddle |

"Well you can heal any one of us 3 times, stop us from bleeding to death, and heal everyone else once. I like the sound of that. I suggest making a potion of mage armor tonight for Abomentolor the, if he cant get hit, you don't need to heal him." Jimmy says smiling at her. "Lets go inside and grab the ingredients. I'll get this one" he says indicating he will pay

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I'll take you up on that offer." Then he disappears into the shop. A few moments later he is back with a something wrapped up in a cloth and hands it to Gwenhwyfar.
And with a "Off to find an inn then" he starts leading you to find one.
