Assuming that you don't wear your armor and have a climb skill of 8 you could beat Gwen in the race with one hand tied behind your back. And as you now know the way, you will get down safe on taking ten.
Climb isn't a bonus skill for paladins, so without armor my climb skill only seems to be 5. From what I can tell at least. So are you happy with me taking 10 and succeeding?
