If you want some results, you should do some rolls.
Perception to find something, or knowledge history or maybe linguistics to understand some of the writings. If you get a result depends also on what I find in the adventure. Have not checked yet.

Ok actually it's a know(arcana) DC 15 to recognize the runes as thassilonian.
I am not the guy to look for things, but did Gwen ever actually have a look for anything or did she just draw the top of the foundation?
You could give up satisfied with what you found, because there was nothing to find at all.
Only thing to gain, would have been a joke from tauriell, that you managed to confirm we had the right ruins, by identifying the thassilonian runes.

Yes I do. Obviously I forgot to put it on, as I was undecisive about the material. And irritated at the pricing. The golden holy symbol has a material value of 50gp (1 lb of gold) and the making can't be harder than with silver or iron. So it makes no sense for that thing to cost 100gp >:#
