We won the fight, but besides the goblin boss no one was really dead. As we have no clerics around channelling it's no big issue. I will just assume they died. With 1st level goblins lying around in the woods they would anyway.
But it might get more interesting later, when some 3rd level whatever gets knocked out in a rather safe place with -2HP.
Some gaming tables are like 'I check all enemies and coup de grace them until they are really dead!'. I don't see that with our group happening, but as of yet, I'm not sure how to handle that.
I normally run it that if there is no reasonable chance they get healed within a day, they die, whether from blood loss or animal attack or some such.
Well, sure. I wouldn't care for some moster in the woods. But if you cut down the evil mayor of a city in his living room and then leave his house where he lives alone again, and lock the door so from the outside everything looks ok until you are far enough away. He gets back 3 HP for resting on his living room floor overnight, and is conscious again.
What I mean is, depending on the encounter it might become neccessary to ensure someone is really dead. Just wanted to bring that up, because until now no one cared. And also this would cause interesting discussions because of moral dilemma.
It would indeed, a situation like the living room mayor would be a fantastic learning curve for the party as well. I tend to not focus too much on those mechanics unless i can add to the story with them.
So have the mayor stand up and send the guard after them. But the goblins, meh, unless you want one of them to warn an encampment. But doing that too often can be irritating.

Also I think I will let Tauriell and Gwen finish their conversation before replying to Abomentolor, just so you don't have to keep 2 going at the same time

Some additional thoughts on Gwen.

She decides to find out about her heritage. Together with Jimmy she starts to search and following the voice in her head finally manages to find her mother.
Fascinated and overwhelmed by all this and not able to resist her inner compulsion she finally leaves childhood behind her, and grows up to become a full-fledged Annis-Hag.
Now no longer a child, she settles down with Jimmy and they live happily ever after.

The difference between me doing it, and everyone doing it on their own is not that big. But if in doubt, it is better to know for oneself when to retreat from combat.
