Does Diego have his lackey with him? Same question for everyone else :P
If you have an RP or scene idea that needs a lackey, absolutely!
Or I can always come up with something. (Although I haven't exactly figured out Marea's personality or anything. Open to suggestions here.)
;P
Let's say yes. I'll play with ideas and see what I figure out! :)

If I need the Lackeys around, I'll bring them in, don't worry. Otherwise, you have the option of having them with you for most things, except royal audiences and the like.
You gave me a lot about Marea in Diego's backstory; plenty to work with.
??? I think you might be confusing Marea with Cecila, his former betrothed. :)
Cuz I just re-read it and I didn't see anything about Marea. (It had been a while since I wrote it. I had to check!)
Actually, I pretty much dried out the well making up all that stuff about his family. Any help with Marea would be welcome! ;P

Oh yeah you've told me. (Multiple times) ;)
And I DO need to be careful and play him 'wisely'.
(He IS a cleric after all!) :P
But,... I also figure that a guy who chooses to serve & worships Cayden in the middle of a Cheliax-ruled city is also not (overly) concerned about being 'politically-correct'. ;P
But not stupid,........... Hmmm,....
(MAN this is gonna be a lot harder than I originally thought!) :/

What -- oh, crap -- seems I'd somehow hidden the gameplay thread. Ugh.
Will catch up and be sufficiently dashing tonight.
No problem. I was wndering because it's not like you to be silent. :) Not when there's swashing and buckling to be done, and derring-do to be, um, dood.

Welcome back! Hope you all had a great holiday (or are still having it, like my Jewish flatmate). Let's get back to it, shall we? :)
I hadn't planned on a particular schedule for this pbp. If you guys run out of gas while chatting, let me know and I can poke things along, but figured this would be a good scene for you to chat for a while and get acquainted with your characters. I'm hoping this will be a nice, organic, flowing pbp.

LOL,
My aunt (Who is VERY kind and does our taxes each year with her copy of Turbo tax) would die of shock if I ever got her my tax $#&* more than a week before it was due! ;P
You do what you gotta do Dahlin'!
I'm busy at work, school (University) starting back up, and started rehearsals for Sweeney Todd this week. AND getting ready to take my daughter to Salt Lake City to attend the premiere of the Documentary she is in called The Mars Generation. Look for it on Netflix in 3-4 months!
:)
So, yeah, busy. I get it. :P

Thing about freelancing is you have to take the work (and get it done in a timely fashion) when you get it, so between EOY for old clients and trying to impress (and keep) a new client, it's bogus.
That, plus taking 3 accounting courses, researching ACCA certifications, reading for and prepping my business site and blog, studying WordPress to improve my website, and starting a botanical art class in two weeks... geez.

Over-committed is more like. Or needs to be committed. But I've committed here, too, and need to be more diligent.
Anyhoo, doggo and I returned from a client who lives/works on a mini-ranch and crashed and burned. We slept from 6 to 9 pm (doggo kept sleeping from 9 to midnight). I'm awake now and putting up updates! Huzzah!
| Ragadolf |
Huzzah indeed!
I sometimes wish they WOULD commit me! Maybe then I could get some rest! ;P
Nice update! Now, Regarding Diego....
To snark or not to snark, that is the eternal question.
Aw who am I kidding?!? The musketeers were never worried about brawling with the Cardinals guards?! ;P
Snark incoming in 3,... 2,... ;)

The dandy may be cavalier in his relationships with women, but he doesn't abide ill-treatment of any woman. And seeing Suzie demonstrate such abject fear enough to send her scurrying for cover quite frankly ticks him off.
Just to clarify, there is no evidence the newcomers mistreated anyone, including Susanna, nor has anyone complained about abuse. And Susie just slipped away to the opposite side of the room.
| Ragadolf |
Oh don't mind Diego jumping to conclusions!
Thats one of the things he does best. Apparently. :)
Or I am the one with poor descriptive powers, since I obviously made it sound too much like Diego thought the party in the back room had already been mistreating the clientele. When in fact Diego just didn't like the way the party-ers were affecting his fun place! ;P

Yo, peeps! I mean, uh, hello victims friends.
I am inclined to try an experiment for battles. Let me know what you think about using this Google Drawing for our combat. You can move the icons.
Pros:
You can move things and zoom around and draw lines/text to indicate what you mean in your posts.
You don't have to wait for me to generate maps every time you move.
You will be looking at a current map without having to worry that you missed somebody else's movement post.
Oh hey, it looks like we can have discussions directly on the map, which might help keep the gameplay thread clean of "can I move here?" types of things.
Cons:
It is entirely dynamic, including the background. If you aren't careful to click on your icon, you could move the whole background.
The grid is on the edges of the background map, so if you need to reference coordinates, you have to zoom out and follow across.
There's no backup if something gets hosed.
This is set up for you to play with. Go ahead and move things around, see if you can mark up the area, etc. Let me know if you like! :D

As a head's up, I'm about to be out of town and without easy access to a computer for about 2 weeks -- basically, I'll be able to post Monday (13) and then not again 'til the 28th.
Vittorio will hopefully get in a first strike (with his dex-boosted controlled bloodrage) on the dear Captain, though he'll yield if he doesn't -- as he said, his beef was with the crumpled ball of pus at his feet (and, too, he'd want to try to stabilize him at first opportunity).
