DM Feral |
Feral: Ralph will ascend to a height of 25ft or as high as the ceiling will allow. What weapons are the giants using and what other weapons can I see on their persons?
Sorry, I missed this. They are wielding greatswords. They look to have longswords sheathed on their hips.
Attacks vs Exiel: 3d20 ⇒ (20, 17, 20) = 57
Wow.

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 5 - hits on the miss chance but I don't think that hits Rhon's AC.
Will vs Illusion: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
Despite his numerous magical defenses, Exiel is brutally pummeled by the giant's unerring blade.
Ralph's distraction seems to save Rhon from a similar fate though the giant quickly pierces the weak illusion.
The party is up.
Ralph Cauthorn |
Ralph waits for Rhon to act, then conjures an illusory bank of fog over Exiel and Rhon to cover Exiel's retreat. He includes illusions of Rhon and Exiel, standing where they were when he cast his spell, but partially obscured by mist. His illusory Exiel appears to take a full defence. He does not speak to avoid giving away his location, but he trusts that his team mates can work it out.
Silver Crusader Rhon Delver |
Knowing that he has to act to save Exiel after witnessing the savage thrashing he just took Rhon breaks from his Defensive Stance. Rhon grumbles an oath out while washing away his own fatigue and moves to Exiel.
"Blessed of Torag, Father of creation, by his grace are you repaired in the forge." Rhon will lay hands on Exiel.
Lay on Hands: 7d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 2, 2, 4, 5) = 21
Ralph Cauthorn |
Ralph continues to concentrate on his illusion and alters the illusion of Rhon to match his movements.
Nevermind. I was acting after Rhon anyway.
Exiel |
Exiel uses the concealment from Ralph's illusion to pull back and then launches a barrage of force blasts into the yellow giant to get it further away from Rhon. His movement also puts him far back enough that Purs is able to see him and reach him this round for the healing spell.

DM Feral |
Protected by his culturally appropriated headgear and with a little healing from his companions, Exiel comes away from the brutal assault in one piece before he flees the melee.
The sorcerer's blasts of magical force bloody the giant looming over Rhon and push him back a few feet but do little to stop his target's advance. Both giants, now wary of illusions, force their way into the fog bank to surround Rhon. Rhon can take an AoO as the northern giant moves past him.

Ralph manipulates his illusion so that the fake Rhon takes a 5ft step to the side and gives the finger to the giant who failed to see through the illusion. Meanwhile, the real Rhon is obscured by the illusion of an empty space of fog.
Exiel |
Exiel sheathes his rapier and casts magic missile on the giant Rhon attacked.
