Corindus scoops up his dropped, magic handaxe, clenches the haft in his teeth, and scales the ladder.
Darion picks up the lighted pebble as he reluctantly begins to scale the nasty webbed stairs. He prepares to cast an acid splash upon seeing the giant spider again

This area is quite open with only 4 supports holding the roof and some railing between the supports.

Kinshara looks at the supports a bit dubiously, but rushes to the next ladder. There might still be time to save Mr. Summers!
After Darion examines the structure he announces that the supports are not incredibly strong and my be broken. Two supports broken on one side likely will cause it to collapse on that side. Corindus are you if a mind to try and collapse those supports
Quickly looking from Darion to the supports, Corindus plants one foot firmly and delivers a strong kick to snap the nearest support.
Given the support smashing, Kinshara declines to climb the ladder up to the next level.

Corindus then moves to grab the southeastern beam.
Planting his feet firmly for leverage, he attempts to rip the wooden support away.
The Roof falls to the South and falls in such a way that squishes the spider with out harming Mr Summers.
Corindus looks at the mangled spider and the splintered wood.
"Well, that's one more javelin I won't be getting back," he says sarcastically as he grabs Mr. Summers and helps him to more secure footing.
Vona:
Vona walks over to the new mess on the ground.
"Woah that's one way to kill a spider."
Mr Summers:
"Holy crap that was scary, ....."
As gruesome as it might be we should investigate this spiders lair there could be valuable items left by unfortunate victims
Darion attempts to look around and he prepares and casts Detect Magic
Kinshara goes back down the stairs to retrieve her missed javelin and gives it to Corindus before helping with the search.
Those checking the tower find supplies in most of the crates and barrels that have long since rotted away.
One small crate contains a masterwork shortsword wrapped in oilcloth.
And three cold iron javelins that need a bit of maintenance on the tip, but are otherwise good.
"Well I'll be darned," Corindus says, surprised as Kinshara and Darion discover the new javelins. "Those're certainly fancier than what I'm used to. That sword, too."
He turns his head back towards the old monastery's doors.
"I guess now we'll find out if the big bad wolf can be trusted to honor a deal."
I suppose we’ve wasted this much time we might as well kill the bats too! Did we see anywhere with rubble that is where the wolf said the bats were?
"Might be hard to find at night. Do you suppose these are normal bats or the kind that are overly large and talk?" he asks while scanning the yard.
You find ruins in the NE part of the old monastery.

"Nothing here," Corindus says, squinting through the darkness at the tumbled down stones and rotted timbers. "I don't think the wolf was terribly concerned with them anyway since they weren't competition or a threat."
He walks back to the crushed spider and pries one of its spindly, segmented legs off as proof of the victory.
When it catches his eye, he also jogs over and picks up his other dropped hatchet and holsters it.
"Let's go back inside and finish our dealings with this beast."
"Perhaps we should go examine the ruins where the bats lair while they are gone? It might come in handy if the wolf insists on their removal."
Might as well check out the bats roosting area in case the wolf is persistent about the bats like Kinshara said. Then let’s go back to the wolf.
Darion investigates the rubble area for large quantities of bat dropping’s hoping to find where the majority of the bats roost. He also looks for strategic locations or things that the party can use to defeat the bats upon their return. He holds up the glowing lit pebble to investigate
Yeah, you find Guano in the area
"I will haul darkmantle corpses and spider legs, but do not expect me to scoop up guano as proof for that fey-touched wolf," Corindus spits.
Corindus looks to Mr. Summers, Eve, and Vona, then back to the tower formerly haunted by the spider.
He wonders how safe of a stronghold it would be for their wards to wait while they completed this wolf's "tasks."
Mr Summers:

"I was a joint, Spider's are scary, I was a joint...."
Darion looks around for anything that could give the party some advantages over the bats upon the return. Anything flammable or useful to trap the creatures. Judging by his surroundings he also wants to try and determine if these are regular bats or something more vile.
After quickly looking around and thinking about the situation Darion isn’t enlightened any further Come on we might as well deal with the wolf. Corindus don’t forget your spider leg
"Forget it? If that wolf doesn't uphold his bargain, I'm going to forcefully feed this spider leg to him."
Corindus buckles the well-made dwarven shortsword to his crowded belt, and he tucks two of the cold iron javelins into his sheath.
He keeps his magic handaxe in his right hand and the spider leg in his left.
You all go back to the Wolf's lair.
Mr Wolf:
"So I take it your done?"
"We defeated the spider, yes," Kinshara states, gesturing for Corindus to show the spider leg.
Corindus throws the spider leg down before the wolf.
He lets his now-free left hand idly drift to the hilt of his new shortsword.
"The darkmantles. The spider. We've easily slain these beasts. Remember that as we ask you to honor our agreement."
He attempts to present a strong, unfazed front to the wolf while hiding any lingering, superstitious fear of this magic beast.
Mr Wolf:
"Didn't get the bats, eh.
Well they are out of here when the sun sets and it would of been nice to lower their numbers.
But a deal is a deal.
Go take the mushrooms, which I really recommend with cow meat, it's delicious."
Corindus sizes up the wolf, looking for any hint the beast will attack when his guard is down.
Even if he is reasonably convinced, Corindus carefully sidesteps towards the mushrooms - keeping his hatchet in hand and his body turned towards the wolf.
A lifetime of abuse from his old shipmates has left the sailor suspicious and superstitious.
Mr Wolf:
He starts sniffing the air as if he got whiff of something that requires his attention.
Darion holds his lit stone to take in the surroundings of the wolf den. He tries to get a good look of the talking wolf as well as the surroundings. He clenches a scroll in hand behind his back. Gauging the distance between the wolf and mushrooms and trying to see any other threat
Darion whispers to Corindus and then Kinshara the following

Before the cautiously, slowly moving Corindus can reach the mushrooms, Kinshara beats him to them.
He looks awkwardly between Kinshara, the mushrooms, Darion, the wolf, then back to Darion.
With a shrug, he lets his holy ally gather the last ingredient as he stands guard beside her, trying to hide his embarrassment.

With the end of their life-saving quest within sight, Corindus finds himself distracted by the relief he feels - even if it may be premature.
Darion shifts his eyes from the wolf to Corindus to Kinshara and back trying to see anything amiss
Mr Wolf:
Mr Wolf's head points to the doorway and looks past anyone at the doorway with concern, and only Darion notices it.
Darion is unsure of the wolf...Is it trying to get me to look that way? Or is there really something out there?...
Corindus turns to Kinshara, heedless of Darion and the wolf turning to the door.
"Did you want me to wrap up the mushrooms? I have the other one already swaddled in cheesecloth."
Kinshara reaches over to hand the mushroom to Corindus.
