Fighting a dragon, I'll likely be stuck healing once we reach our destination. Also, in combat, as a swift action you can request healing from me. Anyone can, and I can respond 11 times/day. Each power point I expend in this way is equal to 4 hp, and I can spend up to 10 pp per use, although I likely won't, as natural healing would be more effective for the group, but as a bit of emergency healing, it's nice.

If the dragons are only a CR 10 I won't be too worried. It will be a standard encounter for our level.
I do have dimension door, and I have a spell that allows me to see another person's memories so if we(nay party member) can somehow see the dragon before he sees us I can teleport us to the area so he can't have time to set up.
PS:I will be adding my background story to my profile later. I forgot to do it yesterday. Right now the wifi is down, and I am at a library so I am using a desktop to post.

Skender will, at least temporarily, add Orielle to the collective. If she resists, I'll ask Mune to explain it to her, and hopefully she won't resist again.
Great. Nice move keeping a low profile there, Skender. :) I was hoping to avoid any anti-magic feelings that people in this town might have. If Orielle doesn't panic, now I'll have to explain the whole concept of mind-power people to her and Nathan and Khazak. If we have to do a small demonstration of power, KEEP IT SMALL, guys! We're inside somebody's house here.
Well, nothing to do but see how she reacts. At least we don't have to have a "battle of the wizards" with Nathan, he can feel secure being the only arcane caster.
What's the plan - get the details on the dragon, go shopping in the town for cold weather gear, spend the night at the local inn, and go out the next morning?

Just like a dwarf - just because I refused payment up front, doesn't mean you have to! :)
I just thought it too much at one time - a 10,000 gp platinum bar each: where are you going to spend that without a lot of questions being asked in this town? Much better for us to take it at the end of the module and look for a large city to spend that reward at.

When one is playing a dwarf, a minor amount of greed should go with the territory. :-) However, Khazak also realized that there might not be much opportunity to spend the money on the sort of specialty items he'd really want way out here in the boonies. Besides, he also thought it might be better to save voicing any disagreements he might have for various tactical and strategic issues that might arise which could be more important.

Actually, Nathan, the reason I did knowledge rolls was because some GMs prefer to tell you what a DC 15, 20, 25, 30, etc will do, while others don't care. I use the roll to determine how much my character would be able to look up a PRD or Bestiary check.
I rolled pretty low for white dragons (11), but adequate for Rods of Rulership (23). I was trying to guess what breath weapon a white dragon had, as well as any spell-like abilities. All I think I can say is "cold". On the Rod of Rulership, I don't believe it is metagaming to tell the others it makes the wielder be seen as sovereign unless you do a Will save or are told orders you would not obey.
If Hinterbite has one of those, it means not only does it have a draconic aura of fear or somesuch, but it has a major magic item that can make others obey it. Not good for the heroes.
Nathan Lovecraft-NPC |
(catman, Nathan dropped out - is he going to vanish after this meal, or turn into an NPC? I ask because I was going to let the arcane magic-user try my "emergency wands" like Endure Elements, rather than roll for Use Magic Device.)
You can Npc him. If you like.
Well! I think I can do that. Playing 2 characters at the same time. Obviously "Nathan" will become a little less vocal in the game. I'll be playing him as a support wizard. I'll make changes to his HeroLab stats as necessary, just in case anything was missed, like Nathan's spellbook having all 0th-level spells, etc.
Muneshige playing Nathan.

I only have one opposed school due to an arcane discovery I have called Opposition Research(source is Ultimate Magic). It allows me to drop one opposed school.
As to me being back if I am going to continue checking here anyway I might as well have stayed.
My return is up to the GM. I understand either way.
In any event I can explain any issues with my character sheet.

Actually, I thought posting that was classier than just posting a "bump" :-) The question then becomes how we determine that "a couple of hours" have passed. ;-) Regardless, it will help to see if we can get any feedback about what's actually available at the store.
It's the question of just how the GM wants the Equipment list in the Core book to be. Some scrupulously follow the size & gold guide for each city, while others just say "anything but magical items" and some even say "go at it". It's really up to the GM.
Of course, if there's any other rumors we can overhear from the townspeople, or a plot thread we didn't get from our hostess, now's the time to do our Perception checks! :)

If Khazak has no objections, I'll just assume that since we're buying cold weather gear (less than 15 gp each), we can go to the General Store and back with no problems, even if Icenvale was a tiny town. I'll post us returning with the stuff.
