The night is calm and peaceful. Those of you who actually sleep finds your beds to be of great comfort, far more comfortable than you remembered them being before your trip into Fallen. The next morning comes earlier than you would have liked, and though some of your muscles still ache from your journey and battles, you feel rested.
As you sit to enjoy a warm meal with your new acquaintances, Mrogab comes out to speak with you. Seeing Silian emerge from Jessamin’s room, he chuckles and shakes his head. ”Good morning! How did you sleep, how’s your breakfast? Listen I have a favor to ask. I can’t afford to pay you in coin, but could pay you with free room and board if you’re interested. I’ve just purchased three cases of really old, really good wine from Llyod Denieth but now he says that I have to send someone to get them myself. Tonight’s a busy night for the Cracked Mirror and I can’t afford to send any of my workers. I need someone to go to his house in Oak Towers to retrieve the wine and bring him payment tonight.”
Mrogab looks at Akasha for a moment, ”I thought that with you lot having helped Lady Tela and with you Lady d’Denith being of his house, perhaps it would be best to send you if you lot are willing to go?”

Oh sure RNG. . oh sure. :( I guess I was spending more time drinking than listening.
Silian d'Thuranni |
Silian steps from Jessamine's room looking like the displacer beast that caught the halfling, smiling as he pats his weary guard on the shoulder. His eyes rest on Vannevar's locket. "Avhank lat, Julcle."
Silian eats heartily as he listens to Mrogab's offer. "Speaking for myself, I will help you. I have an order to retrieve this evening, so I planned to stay at least another day. I find your accommodations quite refreshing." Silian pauses to chew a few bites, "Is there any cause for business to be picking up tonight in particular?"

Mrogab looks at Jess and chastising, "You didn't tell 'em, Jess? You were suppose to make sure they knew!"
Jess leans over Silian's shoulder and plucks a strawberry from his plate, "I got busy," she says with a wink before popping the berry into her mouth.
Mrogab shakes his head but it's clear he isn't truly mad at the woman. "We're having a costume party tonight. Lots of people will be coming. Everyone loves the chance to be someone else for a night. Don't worry, though, your rooms are secured for you."

Jonah d'Tharashk |
Shaking his head as he comes out of his room.
By the host, I shouldn't be drinking that much. . Water please
As he sits down for breakfast Jonah quietly asks Vannevar So what are we doing today
Vannevar DMNPC |
The elf appears tired and not in very high spirits as he responds, "Apparently there is to be a costume party at the inn tonight, and I will be accompanying Silian as he goes to fetch his own property and then to do a favor for Mr. Mrogab. He has asked us to take payment to a man for a purchase of wine, and then to bring the wine here to him. I do not presume to speak for you, but the request was broadly made of us all here."
After a moment, Vannevar turns to the warforged they found in the debris of Fallen. "Warforged, what are you called? Will you be accompanying us this evening?"
Jonah d'Tharashk |
Quietly in response to Jess's question Yes, to many ale too fast.
He then looks over at Vannevar Give me but an hour, and I will accompany you if you wish
Garotte |
Stepping forward, the dark red eye lenses flash several times as if the warforged is blinking.
"Unit Seventeen: Garotte."
Medic shares the affliction of the Captain. Possible viral contagion. New allies will need to be acquired when this group expires from the toxin.
"Probability of gleaning target information at social gathering high. Compliance. You will be accompanied."
Jonah d'Tharashk |
I would be glad for the company Silian, this way I can be sure of making it back here, and not back into the hands of some Ravers.
Edit, Wrong Alias
Silian d'Thuranni |
Costume for himself and Vannevar procured, Silian makes his way back to the strange mage's shop.
126 gold spent on costumes-
20 gold for two Monster Masks, 6 gold for two entertainer's outfits, and 100 gold for Silian's to be darkweave.
Silian spends a ridiculous amount of money on his costume- a displacer beast ensemble with dark cloth woven into the costume to accent the shadows. For Vannevar he purchases a gargoyle's costume to 'flatter' his companion's stoic nature.

You enter the dusty little shop and do not immediately see the woman. It only takes her a moment to appear, however and she stands staring at you as blankly as she did the day before. After a moment she finally speaks, "Lord d'Thuranni. One moment, please."
She leaves the room again and you hear things being moved about in another area before she returns carrying a package wrapped in cloth and tied with twine. She sets it down on a table and retrieves her ledger. "Please examine your belongings, finalize payment, and sign here."
She cocks her head to the side and looks up for a moment before mumbling, "Rain." It doesn't seem as if she was speaking to anyone in particular.
Jonah d'Tharashk |
While out on his shopping trip, Jonah also picks up a Masque, just one that isn't as elaborate as Silians.
will pay 8gp on a masque, rest of the costume is already accounted for

Jonah followed Silian into the building, as he had been shopping with him all afternoon.
A little taken aback at the comment, Jonah takes a hard look around.

It's a dusty little shop filled with bookcases that are overflowing with books, scrolls, and bobbles. There are several tables around, also stacked with books and such. The shop itself looks pretty much as you'd expect. The proprietor, however normal in appearance, seems rather odd. She always seems to be looking through you rather than at you, her face is bare of emotion, her voice monotone and empty.
Vannevar DMNPC |
Vannevar studies the woman for a moment, trying to determine if she is a threat. Determining that the woman does not mean to harm Silian, he inclines his head slightly and says, "Acknowledged. Thank you."

Tava followed the healing man, who followed the elf. She also would have purchased a mask, as everyone else is doing so, she follows suit not quite understanding why. A large hawk mask to go with her pretty dress, which see is wearing over her new armor, with new shiny weapons strapped over it.
DM Twilight |
"Yes," She says simply.
Then a few moments later she realizes that your question was a request for information, and not merely an inquiry to if more information existed. "There will be a body, a battle, and a betrayal."
Her eyes roam across the group as it gathers, they stop on Garotte for a moment and she again says, "Yes."
Turning back to Silian, "I require payment and your signature, Lord d'Thuranni."
