Doors begin to open nearby and a couple of shop owners venture into the streets to testify to what they saw. The corroborate your story, telling the Watch that they saw a cloaked figure attack the dead man, before running off. That when you arrived, you attempted to help Mr. Geldem and were attacked in the process when the cloaked figure returned. Providing a +4 circumstance bonus to Silian's diplomacy roll.
The dwarf lowers his crossbow and tells the two others, "Put your bloody weapons away. See if you can help Lady d'Deneith." He then moves to examine the corpse for a moment. The two others sheath their halberds and move to help Akasha, looking over her wounds if she allows them.
After a moment, the dwarf makes his way to Silian (having been the one to make the diplomacy roll) and extends his hand, "The Watch thanks you for bravery in attempting to come to this man's rescue and fighting off the perpetrator. You will each be rewarded, and if you have need of anything from the Watch you be sure to ask for Sgt. Dolom." You each receive 2 gp

Sgt. Dolom nods, "You're free to go. Come let me know if you remember anything else about the assailant."
"You two," He says to the other two guards, "Go fetch some sheets and the wagon, I'll wait here."
What personal affects did you leave for the guards to find and take with the body?
DM Twilight
The two guards, while looking over Akasha's wounds tell her that if she likes they can transport her to House Jorasco, or to the jail's infirmary where the doctor is on call around the clock to stitch people up. "Can't see you hobbling all the way back to wherever you came from like this."
Jonah, the watch is going to be there for at least a half hour while two of them go to fetch a wagon and sheets, the third is staying to watch over the body. It's no crime for you to heal your friend, what's the point in waiting?
Jonah d'Tharashk
Jonah comes back with the cart.
He then walks over to Akasha.
I don't think they should stitch those.

After the bursts of healing, he looks at the others and then the cart.
I think the watch have things in hand, shall we go on?
Akasha
Breathing a sigh of relief as Jonah's healing washes through her knitting all but the most superficial signs of injury, Akasha smiles, uttering a brief incantation the draws the blood from her clothing. "Thank you very much Jonah, while I'm not necessaril averse to a scar here and there, I've got more than a few in fact, I'd much rather a healing touch to a needle."
Jonah d'Tharashk
You are welcome Akasha, I also understand the reluctance for a needle, but I can do that as well as a last resort, or if one really wants it.
He grins at her and then makes his way back to the cart.
DM Twilight
Garotte was pushing the cart of wine previously, is Jonah taking that over now?
You are able to make it back to The Cracked Mirror without further incident only a little more battered for your troubles. Mrogab is very pleased that you've returned with the wine and tells you, "Excellent! Well go on then, go enjoy the party! Thank you again."
Jonah d'Tharashk
I only pushed it closer to the group. I can let Garotte continue to push it.
Jonah puts on his masque, and mutters under his breath. Suddenly he is dressed as a gargoyle.
Silian d'Thuranni
|
Smiling, Silian steps inside the Cracked Mirror. He turns to the others, "After the festivities, we should regroup and discuss the events of earlier, but for now..." Silian gives a mock salute and heads to his room to discard most of his belongings and change into his Displacer Beast costume. He pauses before exiting the common room and tosses over his shoulder, "Vannevar I expect you in costume when I return."
Garotte
Garotte continues to push the cart and when the wine is unloaded, the warforged stands by idle and awkward.

The inn has filled itself beyond, you are sure, what would be considered a safe capacity with costumed patrons carrying glasses of wine and other drinks. The bodies are all packed in so close together that it's difficult to maneuver in some places, and the ambient temperature is beginning to rise. Soon, the pressure in the building releases a little as the party spills over outside.
Jonah d'Tharashk
Feeling a bit like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, Jonah slowly makes his way to the outside for a breath of fresh air.
Silian d'Thuranni
|
Silian laughs, drinks, and makes merry, rubbing elbows with those at the party, flirting and gossiping, listening for stray bits of news. He offers to dance with Jess, Akasha, and Tava if any of them accept. What outfits are Mrogab and Jess wearing?

Mrogab is dressed to appear as an ooze whereas Jess has found herself a very attractive gold dragon costume. She does agree to share a dance with Silian.
While mingling, Silian meets an elven woman dressed as what can only be described as an ally cat and indeed she moves with as much grace, she is hear for only a short while tending to house business before returning home. He meets a human man dressed as a wolf, who runs a local shop selling traveling gear among other things, and encourages Silian to come by sometime. A half-orc male who is dressed as... a dead... elk? When asked about his costume he says that he is 'prey'. The gossip seems to mostly be about who is sleeping with whom, who is planning to kill whom, and where the best deals in town are found.
Akasha doesn't notice anyone in particular who seems overtly interested in her group, but it is so hard to tell with as crowded as the area is, making it impossible for people to not be near her group. She is asked to dance by several young men, and one woman - Jessamin.
Jonah finds that as the night wears on, and the drinks flow heavy no one is dancing very well and so he blends right in! Does he ask anyone to dance with him?
Vannevar DMNPC
Vannevar finds a location a few feet away from Garotte and stands there nearly as still as the warforged. His head swivels from time to time as he needs to adjust to watch Silian. He makes light conversation, all of the social platitudes that can be expected from him when others seek him out to talk but otherwise remains to himself. Late into the evening, when a half-elf works up the courage to ask him to dance with her, he extends his hand and bows his head taking her out onto the floor to dance. After the dance has ended, he bows to her again before making his way back to his post to watch the others.

The ally cat's name is Ava Thuranni. The wolf is Micha Slate. The dead elk 'prey' is Otirry Silverkin.
Akasha, roll perception again for me please.
Jonah roll a d2. 1 your anxiousness is noticeable and off-putting,no one asks. 2 a woman wearing a flowing blue glammerweave dress that looks likes a waterfall and a blue sequined mask asks you to dance.
DM Twilight
"Well, it is true that they'd all be lost without me but to be fair I don't own the place. Aside from that, there is a reason Mrogab doesn't have me in the kitchen. I think that's about it, though." She says with a smile and a wink before spinning you and pulling you in close to her.
Akasha
"Well you certainly run things like you do." Akasha replies with a grin, letting out a tiny gasp as she's spun. "It's been a while since I danced, even longer since it was with someone anywhere near as talented...or beautiful as you." she says holding Jess closer, her voice dropping to a soft rasp.

Uh oh! Akasha is stealing away Silian's lover :D
Jess brushes Akasha's hair back over her shoulder and leans in to let her whispered words brush over Akasha's ear, "You are absolutely stunning, and dancing with you is quite easily the most exhilarating thing I have done in years."
The man begins to respond flippantly, "I don't know what you're..." but his words cut off when he looks up to see the menacing looking warforged standing in front of him. "Alright, alright. Relax. Look see, it's right here. I'm putting it back." He says pulling the coin slowly from his pocket and placing it on the bar before sliding it away from him.
Akasha
A slow smile crosses Akasha's lips at Jess' whisper as she subconsciously leans into the hand brushing her hair back. A slight flush comes across her pale features as she looks into Jess' eyes, bringing a hand up to caress her cheek, she other resting on the small of her back.
"Well then, let's see if there's anything I can do to make it even better." she says, leaning in to kiss her, a kiss that begins as a gentle brush of the lips and slowly builds in passion.
Silian d'Thuranni
|
Silian smiles again, approaching the bar. "My dear Mrogab, you know how to throw a party." Silian waits for two glasses of wine and heads back into the fray to speak more with Ava Thuranni. Like the sleek hunter of his costume, he wades upstream against the throng of attendees, carefully avoiding spilling the wine and circumventing the passionate dance of the raven and dragon to give the girls plenty of room to enjoy themselves.
DM Twilight
Jess returns Akasha's kiss, matching the pace and intensity with well practiced ease. When the women pause to catch their breath, she asks Akasha, "Do you want to go some place more private? A room perhaps, or even just for a stroll?"
Ava watches as Silian approaches, the hint of a smile tugging at her lips just visible beneath the curve of the cats mask. When he comes close enough she says, "Why Lord d'Thuranni, have you come to grace me with your company again so soon? Careful, you might make me think I'm something special."
DM Twilight
"So, tell me, what is a beautiful Lady d'Denieth doing staying at a whole in the wall inn in the shadier parts of town?" Jess says as you walk slowly down the street, the sound of the party fading away behind you.
Jonah find's himself standing next to a woman wearing a flowing blue glammerweave dress that looks likes a waterfall and a blue sequined mask. She sips from her glass of wine, not seeming to be nearly as intoxicated as pretty much everyone else in the room. "Quite the crowd," she says looking out over the room.
Gonna give you guys a bit longer to enjoy the party and see if Tava is able to make any posts for it before moving things along. If you guys get too anxious to move on, or start to loose interest let me know.
