Karmesh is also a fire god, maybe his star should be red, and mine yellow/white? Red dwarfs are quite common, and "yellow dwarfs" are not quite as common but still obviously exist (points at our Sun).

Karmesh |

A binary system with two different suns sounds fun... but they should have more qualities than bright and soft, so Karmesh doesn't overshadow everything. Maybe Atresse's light causes particles from Zurakar to fall down on the surface, bringing positive effects into the world?

The Necromancer listens patiently to the Twins, then shrugs slightly. War is a tool to correct those servants who do not do as they are told, just as volcanoes and floods and whirlwinds. War is merely the tool I prefer.

Sorry for the delay yesterday went sideways in more ways than one.
"Ah here we go enjoy your playground."

Eyero |

Oop. Just so everyone knows, my phone won't let me see google docs. I should have access to a real computer at some point most days, but some days I won't. It's fine listing my turn at times, that fits Eyero's personality to go under radar now and then, but figured I'd let you know so you're all aware. Don't wait up for me when I can't make it.
@GM Would it be possible to state actions in advance incase I'm gone? ie "Raise armies at cities 1 and 2, Move army in mountains towards city 4"?

Belisous |

Yes, but whoever has the most power goes first and then the next highest, and so on, and so forth until everyone has had a turn. You can choose to not spend points/do anything if you don't want too as well.

Omaz Almas |

Okay, I peeked into the other campaign to get an idea of how they are doing it (And I Hope that wasn't wrong of me) but in Hex's first post for that one he says
Turn order is first come first post, however you must post all your actions in one post per turn. When everyone has acted, passed, or been inactive for 24 hours(48 on weekends) the next turn shall come.
So it seems the rules are pretty relaxed. Our biggest worry might be cross posting ;)
That and figuring out how to edit our map *Scratches head*

Pyreous |

Map is currently set to View Only, owner can either set to edit for everyone or ask us for our google names to share specifically. At least that's as far as I understand it. If you click on the 'share' button in the top left corner you can request access.
I was going on the assumption of first come first serve, since having people go through in order when in different time zones and different posting availability would be a bit of a nightmare - just didn't want to get presumptuous.

Dyrm |

Okay, I Posted for Omaz Almas. I'll wait to see how that's received before going on with Dyrm's turn. Just so the twins don't feel left out, I'll probably be using him to add more hexes of land for all of us to play with.

Karmesh |

Sounds good to me! Karmesh would especially love to see an archipel, or a line of isles, to let his (planned) race bring light into the dark sea. Since he is LG good and has Pact as subdomain, he will of course pay a fair amount for it if necessary :)

Atresse |

As Ozmas pointed out in an earlier quote,
Turn order is first come first post, however you must post all your actions in one post per turn. When everyone has acted, passed, or been inactive for 24 hours(48 on weekends) the next turn shall come.
I began posting for round 2 because everyone had posted once, and did an action (gathered power) in the post. I guess I'll chill for now, so ingore Zurakar's post until we get there. I'll leave the rolls though for when we actually start. I assume one block of Zurakar and Atresse posting, conversing, etc. is fine for one turn.

Dyrm |

I think the problem was we didn't know that until I looked it up after everyone had done the point rolls. Now that we know, folks are ready for the other half of their round one action. Just us getting our feet under us game wise :)

Karmesh |

As Ozmas pointed out in an earlier quote,

I was confused because I didn't see anything changing or overruling this:
At the beginning of each round, every player rolls two six-sided dice and adds the total to his or her current power level.
So from my point of view we didn't do anything yet, aside from Omaz Almas, since the gathering of power is not an action per se but something everyone does/gets each round (the document is written frustratingly obtuse). Sorry if I come across as kind of dense, but I was caught flat-footed by the speed, since I am still figuring out the rules - not that there a lot of them, but for some reason I have a hard time with the PDF.

Atresse |

I'm alright with this turn being that way, but PbP is already a slow format, and exacerbating that with two posts per round will make each round drag on and on. (I am aware I'm not the gm, and I'm not trying to be overbearing. I'm just a bit excited, and a bit worried because I'm already starting to see one of my games die because other people won't post, or post only every few days.)

Karmesh |

I know what you mean, and I made the mistake of not including everything in one post per deity, so it's all good. You are correct, and we should be in round 2. Call it summoning sickness, and now the action begins :)

Atresse |

I'm fine waiting this round since everything wasn't clear.
Rules question for our GM. If I wanted to extend out the coastline of 3 hexes to connect to an island or something, would I need to pay for each hex, or just pay for one hex since I'm only making about 1/3 of a hex of land in each of those hexes? I'm fine with either one, I just want to know so I can properly plan a turn.

Nyakushuur |

Nimeton, if you want to have a line of stats below your name, you have to add it in the "Class/Levels" entry when editing your profile. Name and Gender will also be displayed if filled, so beware of doubling :)

Dyrm |

Okay. I got a response back PM wise from Hex. He had thought he'd already opened the map to alteration and didn't realize he hadn't. It's fixed now, or should be. Work continues to hammer him but at least we should be able to make our alterations.
If anyone can't see the Valley of the First, let me know. That will tell me I'm just not doing it right

Karmesh |

Ok, does anyone know how to handle weird phenomenons? I am thinking about stuff like modified gravity, wild magic, floating islands, and such. Right now I guess you can cover it with either Shape Land or Shape Climate, but I am not entirely sure... Karmesh has something special in mind :)

Dyrm |

Nyakushuur altered the eastern most island with swamp and forest right? Mmm... I may have Drym put up some islands or at least one big island so I don't accidentally step on a toe :)
Nimeton? Did you ever alter the map? It's hard to tell

Dyrm |

Dyrm just put up some islands. If Karmesh wants to tinker with them, he's free to but my mischief god will reserve the right to meddle with whatever comes out of it for all eternity !
(Not that he won't just meddle anywhere anyway) :)

Nyakushuur |

Dyrm, feel free to mess with my stuff, since I will likely do the same at some point... as long as it doesn't end in a rampage, I think part of the fun is exactly the balance of creation, alteration, and destruction. Karmesh migh come back to the islands, but he needs more luck in gathering his power first :)

Karmesh |

Yeah, I think your guys are right with Event for weird stuff. Damn, I really need more points!
I edited the map with Karmesh's additions, hope it isn't too cramped in there. In case someone didn't know: if you want to place several small parts together repeatedly (like the marshland I made, with lines and trees), you select everything and can then group it in the context menu, and work with copy and paste from there.
